Love the insights here Vicky, actually actionable and not just the basics that everyone is talking about like listen carefully, or ask open ended questions. Being socially curious was my favorite!!!
Hi Vicky, I really like how you combined multiple strategies to be able to "bridge the gap" so to speak between the interviewer and person being interviewed. I have never heard of the Cunningham method before and I plan on using that to help engage my online community. Thanks as always for the great content!
Thank you Dr. Brad! You put it so elegantly. The Cunningham Law is not talked about a lot precisely because it makes a lot of people uncomfortable saying something "wrong"! But we can choose how we want to frame it and educators do this all the time! Thanks for watching and sharing this!!
I'm planning to bring people over and interview them in my YT channel sometime soon, this concept and questioning methods are exactly what I was looking for! Thank you, Vicky (as usual)!!
Perfect timing! What kind of guests are you going to bring in? Btw just checked out your channel, I love the clubhouse one!! I've been hosting rooms and thinking about ways to improve our room quality. Looks like I need to add more details in our description
Oooohhhhh. Brian Grazer’s conversations sounds amazing! Is it a podcast, do you have a link to it, pls? LOVED this video, appreciate the depth of info and all your references in it!
I would worry about sounding stupid in front of someone who has authority over me, such ad a teacher who could give me a lower grade by knowing how much I don't know, or a manager for similar reasons. In these situations, I would ask questions from e.g. a private tutor, a trusted colleague, etc. A counter quote is, “It is better to remain silent, rather than open your mouth to show them how stupid you are.” It is okay and encouraged to ask questions during say a brainstorming session, but not during say, a viva exam. For example don’t ask what is the escape velocity to launch into outer space during a viva exam on Astro physics, where this knowledge was part of the syllabus.

Being socially humble is my favourite too!! A true multi-tasker that engages you, the speaker, and the audience :D
That used to be me - just speaking for the sake of speaking. I used to hate silences. Thanks for sharing.
Yes I definitely can relate Hila. Haha that awkwardness of silence used to make me cringe so much
Your videos are incredible, obsessed
