This is absolutely fascinating, as I experience exactly these problems. It has taken a lifetime to realise I cannot eat wheat, soy sauce (the only foods I had more than just an inkling, that my body didn't like were soy sauce, bicarbonate of soda, rice to some extent and now all sugars. I am not successful in completely eliminating sugar.
I am still in imbalance and as for puffing up; after giving up wheat that was when I really noticed my eye socket hands and feet changes, because overall the physical signs had improved so much and you are correct, it really isn't simple to address. Thank God for your mother and you have done marvellously in managing your issues so far. All the best for more insights!

👍Awesome informative podcast. 🥰👏👏 Greetings from Singapore.
Gigi is indeed a Salmon Connoisseur. Love her and all her recommendations and advice.
I am into research work related to Immunology, immunotherapy with focus on Gerontolgy.
Basically i advocate a Japanese raw food diet which is tilted towards fish and seafoods such as the popular and world renowned Japanese sashimi. My number one fav is Sardines and also Japanese yellow eels. Salmon is in 3rd place.
Thank you again JASON and GIGI. ❤❤️☺️

@@gigieats You are most welcome. In Singapore, I can get fresh sardines from suppliers. As for yellow Japanese eel, they are airflown from Japan and only seasonal. I have a friend who is a hobbyist angler and he had caught 2 small brown eels twice in Singapore waters with simple fishing 🎣 lines.
Our salmons are shipped here from Norway. Also seasonal and farm-raised.
Your podcast with the big catchy thumbnail caught my tastebuds not only my eyes and now I am planning to source for one whole salmon before the end of this month to enjoy and indulge in, just like you, Gigi 🥰😋🍣🍣
Bon appetit, Itadakimasu, Meogja, Provecho, 请一起吃😆

I had the prick allergy test, no bathing for 5 days because it may take 5 days to react. I have a epi-pin for beans & cows protein whey which i react to quickly.

Why is her face so red compared to her neck? Is that bad makeup or is it the salmon? Seriously, when I was a very young child, I ate so many carrots that i started developing orange areas on my skin and the principal called my mum to get it checked out and get a doctor's confirmation that I'm not infectious. Can salmon also develop different coloured skin areas?

I'm a senior living on a SMALL Social Security check and no pension so I don't have the money to eat that much salmon.

Canned salmon can be quite affordable! And you absolutely don’t need to eat 14 pounds a week!

THANKS for the suggestion but I don't care for canned fish. I do eat "some" wild caught salomon from Alaska that I purchase from Costco. I think it would cost about $35 a day to eat as much salomon as she does. I try to live on about $6 a day for food (pastured raised eggs, bags of dried black beans and salads).@@gigieats

Hi Jason, I'm a long time listener of your podcasts--great topic, as usual! One thing: your Africa rationale was highly inappropriate and uncessesary.
