Why did this remind me of that one old undertale animation story, where flowey says "In this world, it's killing or be killed." Idk random callback to the undertale era 💀
stromatolites are WAY more than just rocks. they're one of the few glimpses we have into the earliest years of life on our planet, they're fascinating.
@@baltulielkungsgunarsmiezis9714 Rocket fual is easy to get and with the heating tower you can get tons of power from it. Power isn't a problem when you have a setup on gleba.
I'm concerned your defences around the biolab requesting biter eggs was not nearly enough. if a stack of 100 eggs spoils in there it spawns 100 big biters at once. Id seriously recommend just slapping like 10 tesla turrets down there. They work amazingly on large crowds and also stun lock enemies which is amazing for preventing them from destroying stuff. Great video, I liked your end product Gleba base and I feel the same struggles you had having just completed mine.
Oh I put the turrets there but I’m only moving the eggs over manually, so it was just incase there was another ingredient shortage and maybe a dozen eggs spoiled
yes, the lasers should exclusively target the smallest asteroids. At high speed however, their small wind up time as they deploy means they often still let a few through.

in gleba, its gleb or be glebbed
It's a gleb or be glebbed world out there

@JacobC-d2b that is a line from the game and is in fact what this thing is referencing

"cold, desolate, dark" just like england so
True I was looking out the window when I wrote that
@@ripecontextBritish "people" when they see something yellow glowing in the sky for the first time: 😱😲
Haha, laser defenses in your armor are a lifesaver on gleba. It's especially useful for taking out wrigglers without slowing down
You're easily becoming one of my favourite Factorio youtubers.
Stromatolites are made of bacteria in real life, building up towers the light with the lower bacteria dying and petrifying over time
Egg spoilage could use an alert
No just put some shields in your powerarmor.
A coward is he who doesnt have pentapod expansion. That place was so so so hard before artilery. Nothing can stop the medium stompers.
If you already went to Fulgora tesla turrets + rocket turrets will stop anything
@@ponga_6855 Tesla turrests require so much electricity.

I went to Gleba first and made everything locally, that line about importing being cowardice reminded me of the hell I put myself through and laughed.
I did the lazy route for gleba and imported anything iron and copper related. Landmines are great for stompers lol
I really really enjoy your videos thanks for your effort!
Such a shame you left biter captivity tech for the next video! I was hoping to see your spaghetti madness!
In case you’re not joking, it was a bit and there is more video after the [REDACTED] at the like 30 minute mark
@ripecontext sorry, i can't discuss it, I'm under NDA
Farming - the price? Shitty terrain, everything rots, and more dangerous locals.

@ripecontext okay nice. Still highly recommend Tesla turrets, they work really well.

Biter eggs don't spoil inside the nest
Extra long video, hurrah! Loving the content.
Basic oxide asteroid processing gives a lot more water than the advanced, if you're good on calcite, maybe use that recipe?
@@Cyber_Cheese you can probably setup automatic recipe selector for the (advanced) asteroid (re)processing.
Exciting can't wait to watch
2:20 finally a youtuber using heating towers as they were meant to be used ffs
acid trip planet
This video will get 1 glebillion views, mark my word
Stack inserters will quadruple the belt buffer
Great video!
I was actually just wondering why you couldn't just go counter clockwise
Cool vid! Consider an output on the biolabs to pull out spoilage
When you eventually get around to making them of course
So what was the reason to not do science on Gleba after all?
I just think Aquilo music needs sleigh bells
I really thought you would enjoy glebs more!
Lasers are best for small asteroids

Now do a death world, starting in gleba with nothing
Never seen someone try to go slower in factorio
You should do it faster with a thicker accent so it totally worthless.
