Sandstorm has achieved alot, even tho he might be retiring from Brawlhalla his impact will always be here.
Even though I'm sad to see him leave brawl, I'm still gonna root for him in any other game he competes in. I got into brawlhalla partially because of how good, how excited it made me feel whenever I watched sandstorm play. Everytime I would watch him I would feel this sense of overwhelming excitement and know inside my heart that whatever the situation is, he can do it, he can win. And even if he doesn't, he still makes us boil with excitement and it makes me want to pick up the game again. I've taken countless breaks from brawlhalla but watching sandstorm play brings me back every time. I'm a bit scared that when I take my next break I won't be able to come back, that my fire isn't going to light up again but I'm sure watching him in any other game will still give me that fire.

this reminds me of zero back when he played smash competitively. he was so scared of the back lash of losing that he devoted his entire life to playing smash. sad to see that the best of the best are the most hated
i have always wanted to be the best, but after seeing 2 great people that i loved fall. makes me realize how bad being the best can be
yo I don't think sandstorm is hated... he stopped playing because he was top dog for too long and got bored, at least according to his own words. egg was just talking about other potential aspects of being on the top for so long and even then, hated doesn't seem like the proper word for those things bro. I don't think he's even fallen, but actually just succeeded at his goals in the game and wants to move on to better and different goals. sandstorm won brawlhalla.

i feel like sandstorm got bored because he reached a place where nobody could reach him its like those anime villains that get happy when the mc match their power type of things but i guess ss never really faced somebody that could genuinely take him down even the second best player in the game had a clear gap from sandstorm the thrill of competitive games is that nobody knows the outcome even the players themselves that's what makes it thrilling but i guess he couldn't feel that thrill anymore therefore lost the passion to want to get better or play the game at all

Watching this kid play over the years helped me through a lot of tough times.
Sandy was the meta. He defined Scythe, Greatsword, and Cannon. He taught the player base how to play. Insane. So sad to see him go. I watched his clutch win over Wrenchd back in the day and I’ll never forget it.
I know you put a lot more effort in other videos like the chosen bots one and I really liked that one as well, but man, I just loved this one. I feel just like you about this subject and I didn't know until now how to express it, but I could taste it too. Congratulations, you're an amazing communicator and I look forward to every new video!

The last part of what you said is so very true bro. Theirs so many great athletes who have to quit what they love due to family problems or most of the time injury and it’s always so sad to see them go knowing they have the drive to keep going. The most beautiful thing to me is that he’s retiring because he wants to because he’s done a great deal of things and now he’s done😌.
Sandstorm was so good that he put opponents through combos you'd only see in anime. GG GOAT, can't wait to see him put other communities in a blender with his masterful reads

Damn.. i saw this title and haven’t played brawl recently and thought it was a joke. I’ve honestly lost the drive after 10,000 hours of this game due to the games problems and issues. But this is so depressing, everyone looked up to this man for Brawlhalla doesn’t matter who you are I don’t care. I just hope he’s okay, it’s insanely sad but he has to do what makes him happy.

You should see shwerpy's "Chilling with sandstorm". The second one sandstorm's so happy and toxic in a funny way. In the third one he's sad and bored most of the time, and its hard not to notice. Not to be that guy, but sandstorm plays tournaments like no other. He always try something new just to entertain us. Much love sandstorm good luck to you my man.

I started playing brawlhalla somewhere around the time it became available for mobile, then I started watching shwerpy, sandstorm, planet micro, cryingobi, haemo, and lordwhitewolf etc, I wish the best for all of you.

I guess I never really thought about it, but Sandstorm is the reason I took Brawlhalla seriously. I originally got the game in 2018 because I didn't have enough money to buy a switch and get Smash Ultimate, and I only really treated it as a bridge to get to there. But I was still curious so I looked up a few spear guides (as it was the first weapon I mained), and the YT recommendations took the opportunity to show me Sandstorm vs Boomie: Mtn Dew Amp Game Fuel, Grand Finals. This was really the first time I had seen a game played competitively, and I was blown away at the speed and skill of the players. I knew right then that I wanted to do that. Fast forward to now. I've gone through 7 different mains, climbed to over 1900 elo, participated in 4 seasonal championships, and fought numerous pros and content creators. I rarely have favorites, but I would consider Brawlhalla my favorite game in a heartbeat. And none of this would have happened if I hadn't seen that set that opened my eyes to an entirely new world. So for that, thank you sandstorm. Whatever you end up doing, I pray you are just as successful in it as you were in brawlhalla. You will always be the true GOAT.

I remember getting into the game in the end of the summer 2018, seeing sandstorm play before he was the number one player, and I loved how he played and used some of his games too look at what pro players do and learn from. Seeing him becoming the best player in the world not too shortly after. I wish him luck in his future endevours

I wasn't pro or anything, but I was around top 1k players in Rocket League and frequently would be matched with professional players in matchmaking etc. It's so stressful and mentally taxing. Lots of people looked up to me, I couldn't even imagine being #1. It's amazing people last as long as they do.
