- There seems to be a lot of firsts for me recent, as today, we look at the Timex Marlin California Dial watch, 40mm and in the sunburts salmon colour. I think almost everything in the above sentence is new to me, from the classic Timex marlin collection, to the California Dial that I've been search for and the beautiful salmon colour.
Spoiler alert, I love this watch VERY VERY MUCH.

hey , your the 2nd person Reviewing this watch in the WHOLE RUclips !! 👌👍👍
Simply beautiful. I’ll be getting the 34mm Monday. I can’t wait.
bought this watch several months back the movement died, the rotor wouldnt wind the watch. only manual winding worked. timex replaced it but the second one now is having power reserve issues. disappointed at the quality of the internals.
I return my 34mm no good . For kids too small
That's beautiful. You made a great choice on buying this watch 👍
Glad you mentioned the noise of it! I have a marlin but was considering this one too! Thanks for the great review!
Beautiful looking watch, love the colour
You and me both!
Love the salmon dial!
Yeh, so in love with that look, sucks that I only recently found out there is a 34mm version. Only thing is the 34mm version isn't in salmon, so perhaps I didn't make a mistake buying this after all.
Yeah this is pretty. I just wish it was a little better quality in the engine department as well as a 38mm. I'd want it to sit around 500 to 600 usd.
100%, I wish it was 38mm or even 36mm! The movement could be better but its Timex so an automatic watch is already a pretty big improvement from them.
This puppy is on my list.
That is nicely done salmon dial🔥🔥🔥
I absolutely agree, the dial is lit!
Beautiful watch ❤❤❤
Another watch reviewer with the same size wrist as I have! You're my new best briend!
Lol, welcome my slender wrist friend! 36mm is the sweet spot for us I believe
@@TheChirpyPanda I don't mind breaking the mold. LOL. Wearing my 42mm Glycene Airman right now, and I'm loving it! LOL!
Hard to find this in stock. Man
Try the 34mm Version:-)
Yeh I might have to, I just found out recently that it existed
you can buy a auto Swatch Cali. dial for 170$ (42mm)
Let me check this out!
Great review
Is there a brown/ pink hue on the dial, or pure white?
it’s salmon
Does it have lume?
no
Everything is great then suddenly ghost date and non hacking features come up. Why Timex? 😒
Lol, I know right.
Luckily this watch comes in 34mm
Oh what!!! That is new, it wasnt available in 34mm before! Definitely my next purchase
@@TheChirpyPanda my next purchase as well! Cheers👍👍
1) A sleeve
2) A box
3) Another box
And hey presto a watch that was strapped down looked cheap to me and an expensive gimmick, watch boxes in the 1950 weren’t like that. As for the watch… preferred the 60’s originals, no plexiglass, no SeaGull mechanisms, stainless still shell was much better than 60’s chrome plated, as won’t chip, I’m not convinced about it keeling time and how to get it mended outside its warranty.
So let's narrow this down...
1. The box doesn't matter. At all.
2. The watch doesn't look cheap, it's made of industry standard materials, and the glass is the same as was used in older models and is better than mineral as it can be buffed out.
3. The movement is a miyota, not a seagull movement, and it's a solid performer.
4. Getting it worked on will be cheap and parts are readily available for every miyota 8000 series movement.
For the money, this watch is quite nice.
The second hand is too short
This guy shouldn't even be touching a Timex, lol.
…Why not?
