Timex hype watches. Wow. I always had a Timex as a kid, and it’s neat to see Timex starting to do cool/interesting/premium watches.
Stunning watch, what a solid design concept
I just bought mine in Inverness green, it beautiful. Even looking at it under a magnifying glass, I don’t see any imperfections and the rotator isn’t to loud. I have 2 Timex Navi XL’s and one has a loud rotator and doesn’t. I think it varies from movement to movement. Overall I’m enjoying this watch as my daily go too.
Beautifully designed watch no doubt
I've had mine for a bout a month. the design is amazing, but the rotor is so loud when moving around. I feel like they almost had it, but just came up a bit short. still a great watch.
I also have the same with another watch using 8215 movement. Why nobody talk about this in almost any review of any watch with Miyota movement? I will consider 100 times now to purchase any watch that will come with movement from this manufacturer.
It would be nice .... if you could publish (or tell us) the specific price.
Excellent review!!
Is that stone red or purple? It looks purple to me on camera.
Nicely done and attractive at that price. Wish there were non-sunburst, more legible, dial options.
It’s an interesting piece and in 38mm looks much more proportionate but I’d find the cleaning of that case in a watch that can’t withstand a run under the tap frankly plain annoying and the price seems a bit high too. For instance a Tissot TRX albeit with a quartz movement is significantly less money and for twice as much I can buy a gorgeous Sinn 556a.
"It feels premium in the hand."
hi Blake Buettner what is the watch that u wear?
Hi! That is the Zodiac x Worn & Wound seen here: wornandwound.com/introducing-the-zodiac-x-worn-wound-super-sea-wolf-limited-edition/
Beautiful and original case design. They forgot however to taper the strap to 16 mm. Would be more elegant for a dress watch
Original? It's a circle.
28,800 BPH for under 500 bucks is pretty nice.
MIM is a cost cutting measure for metal parts instead of milling. I know it's new to the watch world but it's been around for a while. It's NOT a premium feature. Also MIM parts are weaker and prone to breakage.
Given the stresses here are a fraction of what other MIM parts will experience, I’m thinking this is a pretty interesting manufacturing process for watch cases. Also, the new shapes made trivially possible by molding bring interesting design possibilities without the expense of forging and milling.
The slogan is "It takes a licking and keeps on ticking."
But why 38mm?
As a compromise between 34-36mm (the “default” size for men’s watches before the mid-1990s) and 40-42mm (the supposed modern trend). Also, the industry seems to be retreating away from the large case sizes we have previously seen to something closer to the old norm-we are seeing more 36mm cases being rolled out again.
the original giorgio galli s1 automatic was 41mm. this is a newer 38mm option for those who want it. if you like larger you can still get the 41
There is a 41mm version also, if you want a larger case size.
every time i trust timex it shits all over me
timex takes a licking but keeps on ticking
250% overpriced
Having a ruby on the dial 'says automatic without saying automatic' really? Manually wound watches don't have jewels then!!
