Wow now I feel pretty guilty that I don't take the time to teach my little diva to do more chores. She is 13 yrs old and has down syndrome. We work on it but I don't insist on her keeping it up. I am going to work harder on that. Thanks for the motivation.

@@tracythorsen6112 Don't be too hard on yourself, Tracy! We should be farther along than we are, too. Some people try to put the guilt on us, but our kids are all individuals with their own struggles and learning abilities- your princess included! I, for one, understand it is just easier to do things yourself and not push kids who have no interest in doing certain chores. To be perfectly honest, our kids haven't even had time for this stuff until this year being home all day! So, there is a silver lining in every cloud. I would say at 13 she has plenty of time to learn. Take things at your own pace and don't sweat it!! Happy Mothers day! 😉😊❤❤❤

I'm impressed how independent everyone is it must be difficult to navigate when holding something because they can't use their hands to feel where things are. I also love how everyone is able to "laugh at themselves" without getting offended or discouraged. Having supported adults with learning disabilities who grew up very much not taught basic independence because people believed they were incapable and seeing just how much they were actually capable of doing with support. Seeing you encouraging everyone to do tasks independently and teaching daily living skills is so good to see 😊 you are setting them up for the best possible future 👍

I love watching these type of videos, having an adult child just like Hannah and being visually impaired myself. I think it's very important to show people how normal we are in everyday life. I know that feeling of such pride watching my daughter Melody do a task that for some may be nothing much but for her and the fact that she did it is a HUGE accomplishment. May you be blessed for every door you open for people like us through your videos. I hope you know the impact you have through your videos because people who are sighted wouldn't always get to see a person who is blind run up and down stairs. Sometimes I think people who are sighted think we all just sit in a corner somewhere and don't do much. Thank you so much for your amazing content. Good job Hannah for learning how to do laundry! You could label the washer and dryer with a Braille labeller or use bump lines with a Braille print out to display what each raised line means. The one at my aunt’s house is touch screen so I use Aira to help me.

The only thing that bothers me so much about being legally blind is not being able to drive and having to rely on people for transport as I am fairly independant and not good at asking for help. My Grandpa is blind. He lives independently, but I've noticed when he has his hands full or there are a lot of people in his house all at once he also gets disoriented.

Interesting...I know the kids are making a mental map about where they are, so it likely throws the concentration off a bit. Thank you for sharing about your grandpa! 😊❤❤❤

25:27 the tide pod safety cap is for pets too, so even though Arnie doesn't seem to hang out in the laundry room you still want that safety cap on there in case he found a pod and decided to play with it or just explore. A doggie bite or lots of licks would open the pod up fairly easily. Then of course concentrated detergent is no good for the pets or ppl. Like she said they don't have young kids to worry about but good to know the pets are safe too.
Nice accomplishment to have all the aprons washed, dried and folded. The folding technique she has developed is great! Maybe next time you will record it with a colored shirt on so we could see how the black aprons fold a little easier. Thanks for the vlog as usual.
Oh I wondered about the tide pods in the tray vs wash. I was going to look that up. Also I find that the pods don't do well in short washes the outside shell does not fully dissolve and gets globbed up in a pile on one of the pieces of laundry. After drying several of those unintentionally, I think pods have to go in longer washing cycles fo sho to dissolve completely. It hasn't hurt the clothes so far they just have to be washed again but that is a hassle.

I was yelling at my phone like a crazy person. No! Put the tide pods directly in the washer!!!! lol 😂. It was good to see David! He’s so funny. He would be a great mentor for blind children.
