By the way, #4 would probably be iMovie if you have a Mac computer. Not as many features as the others in the video but no watermark on exports.
I used iMovie for a while but quickly outgrown it.
Which tricks might avoid copyright claims in 2023? I was planning on making goal videos, but i am worried about if i edit recent goals right after eachother perhaps i might get another strike should i blurr top and buttom of screen and put shake effects at goal moments and flip video to the otherside and darken it a little bit and maybe i can put team names and final scores and cut 20secs videos into first5 +last5secs for each goal. Give me advice please i am really beating myself up to make it unclaimable :)
Hi E,
When I saw the title of the video, I was a bit shocked. Couldn't believe that you are going to use the same editing software that I am using. And just to mention to all the other guys, who are watching it, I send to you in the past my stuff. Made by Filmora and you were kind enough to give me your review and amazing advices! I am very grateful for all of them and I apply them right away, cos it's amazing to learn from a such a top pro like you. Huge thanks about spending time and giving hints!
I am still using Filmora one year after I start my youtube channel and basicly went from the ground zero to shoot interviews and high reels. My channel became the #1 sports channel in my country.
I like Filmora cos it's really user friendly. I started from the scratch and it' very easy to learn and way more soft towards the PC compared to Premiere Pro. If you are shooting with some cheaper camera as me, that can't give you 4k video footage with high fps, this is your program. Also 4K video without high end PC it's impocible to work with on Premier Pro.
Huge thanks for that video and for everything you are doing for the community of beginners/mid/experts videographers. I whish that all your videos will be watched way more as you explain everything way better than some popular youtubers.
Cheers from Bulgaria, E!
What a great comment and a great story! Keep doing what you’re doing, you’re killing it 💪🏽
I was shocked to tbh as Filmora has also been the tool I use to edit sports videos. I hope one day I'll make the jump but rn I think Premier pro is too complex and just lik eyou said E, Filmora is just right
Just binged a ton of your videos. Top notch content. Your videos are literally EXACTLY what I need. Thank you
That's great to hear! Welcome to the channel, you should also join the Facebook group.
I LOVE Resolve! I actually started with it as a beginner and if you don't look at Fusion right away, I think Resolve is plenty easy to get started with. I honestly think the node structure of fusion is the thing that scares people the most (and is something I'm still learning) but the timeline editing and media management side of things works really well.
Filmora is looking better than a thought. That speed ramping tool looks legit!
Yeah I was actually pleasantly surprised myself. I hadn’t used it for a while.
Thankyou so much for making this video bru
You’re welcome ☺️
Been using filmora since it was at version 9. Most definitely the easiest to use with little knowledge but i watched a ton of tutorials by Daniel Batal to learn more. Now at version 11 and I revert to davinci for 3D text if I want to use that. Otherwise Filmora does everything I want to do. Only complaint is the masking as it's not very precise, if you want to mask a moving person.
Interesting. I haven’t tried the masking feature yet, I’ll have to test it and see how I go.
@@BeyondTheGame_E it's basic shape masking.
@@okpsports thanks
The quality of the footage looks amazing (great job). I want to learn filming my own footage too from sport games! How much did the equiment cost in total (only the filming stuff) used in this game?
I love the slowmo's too, I don't know how you edited that, but that shows the quality of Martial etc when he controlled the ball. Good stuff!
Thank you! My camera kit is not the cheapest as you can imagine but not the most expensive either. What I was using that night was probably worth $5-6K (USD) in total.
@@BeyondTheGame_E Thanks for the answer! Love your channel, I learn a lot.. keep it up!
Hi I’ve been watching ur tutorials along with a few others you have had on ur channel for about a month now. I went through 4 different softwares b4 I finally decided on Filmora for now. I had a few subscriptions I forgot to cancel. My iPad version of Filmora auto paid for a year so I got the pc version too. I’m covering all the middle school sports while trying to learn how to edit and film. It’s been a hell of a month. Can you tell me which effects package you used for this reel in Filmora. Also I’m having a hard time finding templates for Filmora I even bought a filmstock subscription but nothing really. Suggestions?
Great video once again.
Thanks for another great video. I am new to your Channel and a VERY new beginner filming my kid’s sporting events. Currently, I use my iPhone 13Pro and learning how to use iMovie, on my phone. I will probably have to start using my HP laptop soon for the editing.
With many years of sports ahead of me, I am considering buying a dedicated camera. One reason is the iPhone does not like being outside in the Arizona heat for long periods of time, screen goes dark. What do tips do you have for outdoor recording?
Also, do you have videos about adding music and not getting hit with copyright claims? For my first 2 videos I used the audio from iMovie and the RUclips Audio Library.
Thanks
The new iPhone 14 PRO has a much brighter screen that makes it easier to film outdoors in the sun and see what you’re doing. But there’s no trick to make a screen brighter than it can be other than going in the shade or creating some shade with your other hand. With the music, you can’t avoid copyright claims if you use music you don’t have a license for. All you can do is subscribe to copyright free music libraries like Artlist or Epidemic Sounds or just keep using RUclips’s free library.
@@BeyondTheGame_E thanks for the reply. Have you ever had equipment get too hot while outdoors? The display/screen on my phone dims, sometimes goes dark, as it gets hotter.
@@richardalexander8469 I have never experienced that particular scenario, camera screens don’t dim by themselves. But it makes sense that a phone would do that to avoid overheating.
@@BeyondTheGame_E thanks again for the reply. I am currently watching your “How to pick the RIGHT music track.” Video.
Where would you suggest finding great animated text templates that say "3 Points", like you see on the scoreboard of pro and college games? I could use them in our highlight videos and the scoreboard during games. Thanks.
Motionarray has a bunch of text animation templates. There’s a link in the description fyi. Otherwise Storyblocks and Videohives have some too.
Thank you very much! Your videos are excellent. I really appreciate them. Quick question - What MP3/ MP4 converter do you recommend?
The one I talk about in this video ruclips.net/video/kfooVMrGvX4/видео.html
Awesome! Thank you sir!
Got the rest of your recommended stuff! I really appreciate it!
Can you make a tutorial of how to edit a good sport video with Filmora? And do you have any tips to start with editing sport videos?🙂
The Filmora tutorial is on my to-do list but it will take a while before I can get to it though. The best advice I can give you for now is to focus on using simple cuts to tell a story and not try to over do it with effects.
@@BeyondTheGame_E Because right now, i'm currently editing football videos (soccer) im taking clips from the internet and make an edit and post it on social media :)
@@anderzng671 that’s a great way to practice and get better!
if you have a water mark just record your self watching it in the editor before you export it and use a non watermark software like davince to export it
That gets rid of the watermark but it also takes the quality of your video way down though.
Please how can i get players football clips
The same way I explain in this video ruclips.net/video/wCrjsu_Nmd4/видео.html
I have been following your channel and its really cool, you give good tips but I was wondering if you could one day do a video on editing sports on FILMORA 11
Its obviously iwould be a downgrade with respect to what can be done with Adobe but I think the beginners, like me :) who are here would appreciate it.
Yeah that’s a good idea.
Would you recommend this for a beginner rather than ADOBE PREMIER PRO OR AFTER EFFECT?
You can definitely push things further with Premiere and After Effects but it's also way more expensive and harder to learn. So it all depends on your personal goals and priorities.
Dude where do you get the footage from? If you want to put together sports highlights etc, how do you actually get the footage?
Hey there, here’s a video I made about this exact topic. It talks specifically about basketball but it applies to all sports ruclips.net/video/wCrjsu_Nmd4/видео.html
How do you get these clips with such good quality!! I am really curious
I didn’t get the clips from anywhere. I filmed them myself at the game.
Been using Filmora for a while
Please, which laptop can I use for davinci Resolve. Can it work on laptop that don't have dedicated graphic?
I don't use it so I have no idea but just go to Google and search: davinci resolve system requirements. You'll get all the info you need.
Do you use ND filter when film video at night?
It depends on my camera settings. If I'm filming at 24fps with a 1/50 shutter speed and a F2.8 aperture then yes. But at 120fps, 1/320 and F4, definitely not.
I have been using Davinci resolve, but everytime I want to colour grade, it usually say, Davinci resolve ain't responding, how can I solve this problem?
You should start by confirming that your computer has the system requirements to run Davinci Resolve properly. This could be a graphics card issue or something like that.
The only thing that I think can be disturbing is that If you purchase Filmora for a Mac you can’t use it on your pc so you need to double purchase If you would like to switch between Mac and pc🙂
I didn’t know about that but, if true, you’re right this is not great and should be fixed.
Dose anyone know a sports editing software where you can draw lines on the screen? like an X and Os video for football breakdowns?
Technically any editing software can do that. But you’ll need to learn the techniques necessary to get it done.
@@BeyondTheGame_E great thank you!!!!
What is the name of the first effect you used on the first clip of that edit
I think you’re talking about the film burn overlay.
@@BeyondTheGame_E yes
Where can I get it
@@BeyondTheGame_E Thanks sir, I got it
@@twinrickel7647 I got this particular one from Motionarray I think but there’s tons of different ones available online with a Google search.
Great content sir, can you make a video on how to download video on website where IDM can't download.
What’s IDM?
@@BeyondTheGame_E internet downloader
If your downloaded doesn’t work, I don’t know what else to do.

Team Davinic Resolve, here🙋🏾♂️
Do you ever feel the need to get the paid version?
I had the paid version for 2 years now. I love it! It's so much to learn on there, I get overwhelmed.
Yeah great video straight to point you American but need a little artistic. How can make money from video editing.
I'm not American at all, I'm French-Canadian. But to answer your question, to make money from video editing you can either get hired full-time as a video editor by a production company of some sort or a broadcaster, or you can freelance and build a network of clients in any industry you can think of.
ah yes! crystal palace top 2 clubs in the world
If a free version adds watermarks, it is not a free version, it is just a time-unlimited trial version. So, the only usable option out of three happens to be DaVinci Resolve.
Regarding your edited video, the faux Super 8 full-frame scan along with faux flashes is so cringe-worthy that I just had to write this comment. I hope you added it just as a quick effect, and you don't use it in your paid jobs.
- Super 8 usually is 18 fps, so motion does not look good, although there are professional Super 8 cameras that can do 24 fps and even higher, but with 24 fps your cartridge runs out in 2 and half minutes, and even faster at higher frame rate, so a highlights video that pretends to be shot on Super 8, but that is longer than 2 and a half minutes is clearly a fake.
- Flash-banding at 0:57 and tilted goal posts at 1:07 clearly indicate you shot with a digital camera with a rolling shutter sensor, so the fake Super 8 effect looks even more gaudy.
- Overall, full-frame film scan is overused even when it is real; fake film scan is cheesy; the whole Super 8 hoopla is passé.
- Did I say I hate the music? It may work for American football, but not for soccer, IMHO.
On the other hand, I like your channel, and come regularly, so I hope you won't ban me for this comment :)
P.S. Vegas Studio 17 is the last version of this software that uses the original codebase and can be purchased for $30 U.S. It allows up to 10 tracks, I believe it has velocity envelopes, what it does not have is vectorscope/histogram, so you need to eye it. It is Windows-only software, it is flexible in terms of frame sizes and rates, and is very fast.
Geez… tell me how you really feel! 😂 Don’t worry, I don’t block people just because they don’t like my videos. To each their own. But I think you take these 8mm film overlays much more seriously than I do. If it looks good to me and the client, that’s all I’m worried about. The fact that it doesn’t exactly represent what 8mm film should look like, doesn’t even enter my thought process.
So it wasn't free lol
It was for me.
