      Amen. Always used jack stands in the past. Was very surprised to see this one POP, new right out of the box. I wonder how many others were less fortunate with chinese products. Thanks for the encouraging words.

    Just a mechanical tip. For a more accurate measurement, measure from the wheel rim to the wheel arch instead of the tread.

    Maaaaan isn't that good to know🙌 , not in a million years I would realize that this tortion bar could be removed like that😂👌
    Very helpful video😍 , thank you so much , keep it up👌
    Can you make a video about the Freewheel Clutch Actuator? That's besides the selonoid valve connection , I have a serious problem with it , actually I need to do the all thing from scratch , I have just ordered the selonoid valve & the actuator from China & I will reserve them soon , hope you make a video about the all thing from electric connection to that small pipe mountain and all .
    Thank you again
    Keep it up,,,

    Hi there. Nice video. What year does the Pajero have this torsion bar ?
    What size tyre are you running there ?
    And does it also have some form of bodylift.

    • @offgridislandfamily
      @offgridislandfamily  3 года назад +1

      Thanks very much! Front torsion bars from 1982 to 2000. Tire size is 265/75R/16, which translates to about 31.5" if memory serves. Although, I am pretty sure many guys are fitting 33" simply by adjusting the torsion bars, which is my plan when the current tires are done. Some guys fitting air-bags or air shocks to the rear for a little extra lift. I have removed lots of decorational and/or unnecessary parts, so I think its a bit lighter, which brings the rear up slightly. I'll probably fit air-bags or air shocks soon. Thanks for commenting!

      @@offgridislandfamily old man emu makes a couple different spring options. I'm not sure how shipping would work for you but they are reasonably priced

    • @offgridislandfamily
      @offgridislandfamily  2 года назад

      @@BrokeWrench Shipping would be insane expensive, but yes, Emu is good. Had their stuff on my old Land Rover. At the moment, I will focus on performance with a Kinugawa 15T Billet turbo and then is larger tires. I really just want something best suited for handling the wide variety of driving surfaces in the Philippines as quickly as possible and safely. Thanks for commenting!

    Is there any possible way to lift the front of pajero, beside of adjusting the torsion bar. Or adding body lift? Is there any aftermarket parts i can buy?

    • @offgridislandfamily
      @offgridislandfamily  2 года назад +2

      Not really and not much point. Without serious suspension modification...and I DO mean SERIOUS...there is not much point to try lifting beyond torsion bars. Body lift is useless in terms of ground clearance.

    Fellow RUclipsr, Have you ever had any issues with the front end shake of your vehicle. I have a 1997 montero sport (same set-up) not lifted and I've got a front end shake at 60 and above that I just can't find the source

    • @offgridislandfamily
      @offgridislandfamily  Год назад

      Hello! No...I haven't, but many factors can cause this. Old tires with hernias, bulges, broken steel belts, loose tread...etc. Second is steering and suspension alignment.

    Doesnt it lower service life of torsion bar?

    • @offgridislandfamily
      @offgridislandfamily  2 года назад

      No. The bars hold the same amount of weight regardless of position. Actually, the more incline, the less torque is applied, so technically, the opposite would be true.
