Awesome video! Some gymnasts are not talked about enough. Daiane never got the Olympic medal but her legacy is way beyond prizes; she’s the reason we have Rebeca Andrade
I love how respectful and appreciatively you talk about all of these amazing athletes. In the gymternet, it’s pretty common to trashtalk worldclass athletes and ridiculously exaggerate their weaknesses (= aspects they are not absolutely flawless in or others surpass them in), e.g. "OMG, she just can’t dance, just tumble, how BORING! Why did she even made the world team?!" or "Haha, look, that’s what she calls a layed out position? That's a PIKE, why was it even credited as a layout?!" So sick of it. I wonder if those haters will invade your comment section too. I hope not.
Thank you, and I’m glad. I believe we should be viewed and recognize for accomplishments much more than failure. We reached our highest levels through failure and should be recognized for the height we reach. I am announcing myself, and when people see us on TV, they see the tip of the iceberg. There is so much training, failures, attempts, and revelations that lead us to the final product people get to see on TV. I really enjoyed that process but it’s not all glamour ha ha ha. It’s easy for me to appreciate what have put in to reach their highest level even with the failures. Rock on and thanks.
90's and early 2000 tumblers landed with alot lower chests than todays tumblers. Im not even sure if chest positions were even deducted for in the 90's. I know ive seen some old perfect 10 scores with low chests.
@@sheilaloianne8726 yes, the more I researched her the more I could see how she inspired many in Brazil in the world of gymnastics and beyond. What a great journey. Thanks and all my best.
