Thanks for watching my video! I'll try to walk it at night time next time. I think it will give you even more of a sense of the drama. If you come to Japan, please visit Golden Gai👍🏻
Thank you for posting this video. I'm in the USA and Midnight Diner is one of my most favorite series. I watched the original 3 seasons and the 2 "Tokyo Stories" seasons numerous times. I also bought the two movies on Blu-ray. I have not been able to find the 5 seasons of the "TV Series" on DVD/Blu-ray with English subtitles. Would you happen to know if they are available anywhere? BTW, this video got you another subscriber!
Thanks for the video, recently I saw “Midnight Diner: Tokyo Stories“ on Netflix, and I love it, is the one of my favourites japanese show, I hope one day I can visit Japan, greetings from Caracas
Hello, I'm in San Diego CA USA I was born in Yokosuka on the naval base in 1970. One day I'll see with my own eye to see where I was born into. This and those who video Japan gives me an Idea what it would be like. Thank You for doing this one I like the Midnight Diner show.
It would be amazing if you could film walking through Golden Gai at night. We would truly experience the same nostalgic feelings as we did in the show.
I'm a Canadian fan of Midnight Diner. I started watching it around the time it first premiered in Japan, when the only way to watch it overseas was an illegal download with fansubs. That esupasu pachinko sign has haunted my dreams sometimes. The show's theme song is still one of my favorite songs. I was singing it to myself just yesterday, and I think your video showed up on my recommendations because I listened to it again here on RUclips again. Thank you for the walkthrough! I knew the show was filmed on a set but it was very cool to see the place it was based on. I wonder if more episodes will ever be made?
So far I’ve made “Tomato Rolls” on skewers, “Sake Steamed Clams”, and “Six Legged Weiner’s” 👌💋👨🍳, I can’t wait to try to cook the other recipes featured on Midnight Diner !
That was actually filmed in an artificial city, so there is no master shop. But since the drama was modeled around this area, there are several places that actually exist as shown in the video.
Getting lost in the alleys of Tokyo is a must to truly immerse yourself in the city
I am a huge fan of the show Midnight Diner Tokyo and as an American I can't wait to come visit Japan.

このビデオを作成し、私たちと共有してくれてありがとう!(Google translate) I miss the TV show a lot, so seeing this was really pleasant.
I noticed that the stickers and graffiti seem to be carefully limited to alleys, even the graffiti artists are polite in Japan! lol
Haha very Japanese.
th bro the streets are so clean
Yeah most of street in Japan are clean I think! Many foreign travelers get surprised at it when they come.

Shinjuku is a Tojo Clan turf ruled by Futoshi Shimano this why you will always encounter Goro Majima
A midnight diner fan, from The Philippines.
So sad to learn that it was a set they made, not a real-life location. Bamboozled again!
Aussie guy here, my and i wife love Midnight Diner .
Hi thanks for watching! I love Midnight diner too😊
where is the master shop?

It was on a studio. Not really exist.
Thank you for this. The area looks really interesting. Tokyo is on my bucket list - hopefully, one day, I'll be walking this route myself.
Like a Dragon location
