Awesome. One of my favorite films.
Outstanding photos. Thank you for posting!
Thanks Andrew
Wow. These pictures are amazing. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching
nothing better to photograph than NYC, great set of photos
Thanks Brian!
WOW! This was so cool 😃 I love what you saw and captured with this unique film. You have such an “eye” for it! I had so many favorites, I can’t pick 😮 Loved the music too, very enjoyable vlog. So glad you guys had a good time in NY.
Thanks Michelle - It was a great trip!
Great results, especially the interiors.
Thanks Nick
I've only shot turquoise out in local parks but loved it -- the city/street/monument shots are awesome! They have the feel of vintage postcards from the 20s/30s!!! Thanks!!!!
Thanks - This is the first time I’ve shot Turquoise in a real city
Those indoor shots are so aerie, wow!
Yes, a strange vibe
Beautiful!
Thanks Sara!
Great photos, Dave! You really understand what subjects will look even better with Lomo Turquoise. I'm looking forward to the rest of the NYC series.
Thanks Craig!
so inspirational thanks for this
Thanks for watching
This was really cool. I shoot the purple a lot in areas with almost no foliage. The scenes you captured indoors or with overcast skies makes me want to shoot this film too.
Great video, Dave! I have to agree, Lomo Turquoise is one of my favorite films out there. In fact, right now it’s probably my favorite in total! Excellent shots. And Clair De Lune!!! Debussy, my all time favorite composer!
Thanks Mario! I’m a big fan of Turquoise and Debussy too, and was happy to combine them with one of my favorite cities as well.
@@theoldcameraguyhey there man! New York is my fave city of all! Lived the for a year and a half in my early 20’s. So many memories! Wish I was a photographer back then with some Lomo TQ. NYC is where I fell in love with Debussy’s music. Cheers!!!
Wow! These are all amazing photos, especially the ones you shot at Coney Island. As a “Jersey Boy”, I’m looking forward to the other photos you shot on your visit to New York.
I shot a roll of Kodak Ultramax at Coney Island - Coming soon
Looks like it was a fun trip! My favs were the architecture shots around the 1:00 and 2:30 marks.
Thanks Chris - Yeah, it was a great trip!
I do like the results you got with this film. Certainly works really well with architecture.
Thanks Andy - I figured the architecture in New York would be a good fit for this film.
It's such an oddball film, and you used it to good effect here!
Thanks Mark!
Ueah, I like it. Well done.
Thank You
Lovely shots, as always.
Thanks Christina
Lomo turquoise really doesn't light my fire.. But if it did, I'd take EXACTLY the same shots as you!
Nailed it, Dave!
Thanks Pete!
Great shots. These may be my fav examples of this stock. They feel very moody and timeless.
Thank You
ISO 50, very interesting! I will have to try that with my next roll. I just love this film. The jar image with the skeletons is awesome!
I did ISO 250 for these. Those jars were at the American Museum of Natural History at the West side of Central Park.
lovely
Thanks Don
Very nice Dave, I thought my Infrared film was mad. I like the twist is makes on mundane subjects wasn't expecting that. thanks for the video.
Thanks Gavin - You’ve got some great infrared tips in your recent video. I still need to try IR
Wonderful shots!
Thank You!
Beautiful! I love NYC, Heather and I took our Honeymoon in the city. The music is the perfect match for the feel of this video! Can't wait to see what you get on Metropolis here. Also the section with all the lovely mid-century stuff, where is that?
Thanks Alex! The mid-century stuff was part of an exhibit at MOMA.
I've tried all the Lomography colour shift films and Turquoise is my favourite. I shot mine at iso 200 on bright sunny days ( we do have them in the UK 😂 ). However the results you achieved when it was dull and the indoor shots were superb and have inspired me to shoot my next roll of Turquoise in all kinds of weather and indoors too. I may try a graduated grey filter to render more detail in the sky too.
Trying out that filter sounds like a great idea!
reallly dig the tones at 1:15, kinda washed out rustic look to the windows
3:42 is post-card worthy shot!
& also love the shot at 4:44 very moody!
Thanks Nick!
A Big Like
Love the colors.
Was The Dakota in one shot?
Very good
Thanks - Yes, that was the Dakota.
Fantastic, looks like a lot of fun! It is very contrasty too, love that. Do you have to notify your developer of anything in particular? Or they just develop it straight up with the C41 process?
Thanks Jose. They just develop it regularly.
Well, I really liked the radiator photo and the 6-1/2 Ave photo (and some others) but thought the film pretty much ruined the ones with sky. Don't like that sickly orange or the too bright/dark turquoise. Not a film for me. Looking forward to seeing what you got with Metropolis.
Metropolis video comes out 2 weeks from today
