Correction: I had completely forgotten that the phone has auto fps for recording videos based on lighting conditions. So that's why the fps of those videos mentioned were different every time!
Apparently, it isn't powerful enough to record 4K 60 fps in all cameras in a single footage. Big disappointment on that regard

I think Samsung didn't need an ultra version. Just swap the camera from the 23 ultra to the 23+ , and increase the screen resolution to 1440p would make it the best phone overall! People would've loved it. The Ultra is super heavy, which makes it uncomfortable to hold
The Ultra replaced the Note. It just has a different name.
Completely agree. S23+ is ascetically perfect in my opinion. Just add the 10x optical and charge extra if Samsung wants to then fine.

I went from the s10e to the s23+.
At first I thought it was too big but I adapted (still huge tho).
The s23+ is the simply the best. Crazy fast and clean graphics. I get around 8hrs screen time with heavy use and 10+hrs when used moderately.
Cant fault this phone.
The S23+ is a great phone in so many aspects. I'm especially drawn to the new design and the fact that every version now has the same processor. Very impressive, nice job Ryan, I appreciate your presentation.
This phone is honestly such a sweet spot between in terms of size, not too small or too big.
The new Processor is a Gamechanger, even when it comes to taking Pictures & Videos because of the processing power
The s23 + is usually overlooked in reviews. Such a nice phone.
The S23+ seems to be a solid phone with great battery performance (from recent reviews), a good camera system and a fast and efficient Snap 8Gen2. The only criticism I do have on it is really the 1080p screen and it not being LTPO (If it was, the battery performance would probably be even more spectacular). Thank you for the review! Most are just focused on the Ultra and forget about the Base S23 and the S23+
My 4 year old S10+ has 1440p screen. Yeah, S23+ being 1080p is disappointing. It's a great phone otherwise

Its LTPO just not 3.0. It goes down to 48hz.
The new 8G2 processor paired with a more efficient screen make this a battery beast. I think it's a great middle child between the ultra and the base model. Might be the best!

I presently have the S22 ultra. But with all the upgrades the S23 series has received, I am actually considering going back to
the smaller S23+. Love and miss the flat screen, and it is so much easier to hold, but packs a punch. Great video, answers a few more questions.

A lot of other tech tubers say it's a "incremental" or "cosmetic" update, they're not talking about UFS 4.0 or DDR5X, WiFI 7, etc. Thanks for the review and for touching on most of these updates.
I love how the battery life is better compared to last year, the extra MAh and efficiency of the SD 8G2.

The battery life alone makes one of Samsung's biggest successes in my opinion. They did a great job with this generation. I agree to your listed terms and conditions.

I really liked samsungs new line-up of phones. They look sleek and feel more premium than the non-pro iPhone. I thought I would get the iPhone 14 pro this year but I might just go for the s23 instead and save a bit of money

New design on S23 Is 🔥
This phone truly shines even though it is the middle child. I also love the design and I am happy to see Samsung focus more on refinement this year. The subtle upgrades, both hardware and software will make this a huge upgrade. Excited to see what the 8 Gen 2 brings to the table.

I'm really happy about the efficiency gains as my Galaxy S8 needs to be charged 2 or more times throughout the day and I hope the camera doesn't lack too far behind the Ultra. I'm okay with the 1080p screen but I actually prefer the curved display. Moreover, I think the isolated camera rings suit the Ultra more than the regular S23 and that the S22 looks better than the S23. Also wouldn't it be cool if the S23 and/or S23+ got the 108MP sensor from the S22 Ultra or something like that? For me the most convenient feature of the S8 is the swipe down on the fingerprint scanner to pull down the notifications panel and I actually think the heart rate sensor was a neat feature. Anyone of the same opinion? Great video!

I have the phone from the end of Feb and I love it. Moved from OnePlus 8 Pro and the difference is amazing. Awesome performance, overwhelming amount of options to tweak it, great battery and cameras... I like it quite a lot :)

According to recent reviews, the S23+ appears to be a reliable phone with excellent battery life, a superb camera system, and a quick and responsive Snap 8Gen2. The only issues I have with it are the 1080p screen and the lack of LTPO (If it was, the battery performance would probably be even more spectacular). I appreciate the review.
This device has a beastly battery life because to the new 8G2 chipset and a more brilliant screen. It's a fantastic middle child, in my opinion, between the ultra and the base model. possibly the greatest!
This will be my next device later this year.
Currently i have a S21 Plus for 14 months,
and a Galaxy Note 10 Plus since 3 years wich i let set a new fresh battery,and i will keep it as long possible.
So it runs still great.
But i am impressed by this S23 Plus.

In the past I was so excited to see how the s22 will look like. I have to say that i really loved the old design but the new one looks great as well.
Picked mine up a few days ago and loving it coming from s21
So most of the reviewers have gone on and on about how the plus model is useless, but it's real the one I'd prefer because of the screen size and the fact it looks more comfortable to hold than the ultra

Ordered the phantom green 512gig variant I'm really looking forward to using it. Will be upgrading from s10. The display being fhd plus was a bummer initially but it's not a big deal from all the videos I have seen

A lot of improvements on this phone from previous version...i will switch from s21+ to 23+ and i am switching just because of battery. Hope i can get about 1.5 day or at least close to it(and 45w charging is kinfa must have today...sadly on normal s23 its jst 25W)
Such a powerful too for creators! I would love to use the wide angle lens for vlogging, the 360 audio feature seems pretty neat too

Thanks for your review with the S23 Ultra, how does the edge curve compare between the S21U and S23U? Does S23U have the same edge curve as S21U.
The only reason I haven't upgraded yet, is because of, the edge curve on the S21U is perfect :)
I have never had Samsung phone, but this one really got me. Initially I considered that the base model would be better for me, because of its size, but this one is would fit better because I really need big battery.

I've been happy with my 22+ for the past year. But with the promotion they have for trading in for the 23 models, up to $800 in trade-in value even for old and damaged phones? I knew it was time to give my note 8 with the broken screen a send-off. I ordered the regular 23, but the way you talk about the 23+ gives me the impression it's basically the same as the ultra, just missing the S pen and in a neater form factor.
Just got the Graphite one. I"m loving it so far. Do you think the 50Mpx mode of the camera is the best for overall use or the 12Mpx is fine?

by watching all the reviews including this one, i feel like s23 is better one to buy now.
My problem with the galaxy S 23+ is the same I had with the galaxy S 22 + which I bought last year and then returned because I was coming from a galaxy S 20+ which had the 1440 screen resolution and you can see the difference so $1000 phone should have a 1440 screen they used to give us at three years ago I think the plus model is the one that nobody should buy because you’re gonna spend that much money. You might as well just go up to the altar and get the better cameras better battery life and better screen much better screen actually a plus model is the one that’s the least value, this is coming from somebody that had a galaxy S 20+ so I’m not anti-Samsung I just think this phones made for people to upgrade to the ultra. That’s why it’s handicap the way it is.

Just curious what kind of screen on time does the s23 plus get? I considered the s23 ultra but I prefer rounded corners and I wouldn't use the s pen. Then I love the compact size of the s23 but I'd be concerned with battery life since I'm a pretty heavy user. So it seems like the s23 plus would be the better option but I need at least 6-7 hours of sot to make it comfortably through a day without charging.
The S23+ should handle 6 hours of heavy use pretty well. In fact depending on your usage pattern it can be more power efficient than the Ultra model (watch my S23+ vs Ultra to find out why). But of course, "heavy usage", or any kind of real life usage pattern is hard to define since we use our phones in different ways.
