And I would have to attribute that to the co-pilot. Such a fun review! And what a great Dad you are! I've been lucky enough to have had two Corvettes in my life, and there is nothing quite like it! Of course that was way back in the seventies, ('74 and a '77), and they have changed a lot, but I am sure the feeling is still the same. The C8 really seems like a great car as well as a really fun drive. Thanks for taking us along on such a fun trip!
I had a del Sol too! A black one. I used to keep cotton gloves with rubber grip dots on the palms and fingers for removing the roof because the black paint would get too hot to handle. (I used to work in a GM Service Parts Operations warehouse - That’s where the gloves came from.) I also had an S2000, silver with red interior.

Great video! Your daughter is quite to co-pilot! Personally, I’m considering the C8 convertible. I know the targa is less expensive, but it’s cumbersome to take off the roof and put in on (first world problem). I have a C7 GS and sometimes I wish I would’ve gotten the convertible. You also lose the cargo capacity with the targa in the back trunk for road trips. Either way it’s a win win overall.
Such a fun video... Quick question, why does the car have such a large center tunnel? Being a mid engine, it seems like they didn't take advantage of it for comfort and more real estate for the buttons on the center stack.
Living in Australia I have no way of knowing. Can the rear view mirror be rotated 180 degrees? I have always had my mirrors with the widest part along the bottom, because it had always followed the same shape as the rear windows for max visibility? Then again, with this new Vette the rear window behind the drivers head is wider at the top, so the rear view mirror appears to be configured correctly for this car.
I drove this car 2 weeks ago out in Vegas and everything you said about it is correct. The only down side of the car is trying to get in or out of the car with the top up. You need to be very limber and a contortionist to get in or out of the car.

Meh. At least the convertible is a little less ugly than the coupe. At 11:55 ...is that molded (fake) stitching on the tan colored portion of the console? Cost-cutting sometimes looks so obvious. That said, at least it was fun to see you and Little Muzio having a fun ride together 😊
