    As I commented 4 months ago, this is a WAY stronger battery. But Id like to see you running THREE of those 370 amp alts, a single, cheapie AGM from Costco, and 4 super capacitor banks making 2000 farads. My goal would be to not have ANY voltage drop whatsoever ! Make more juice right from the start, than your setup uses at full tilt ;)

    Great video! You amplifier will thank you for being able to sit at 13.5v at full tilt. A volt doesn't sound like much, especially when at work im dealing with 415v on the daily and it ranges from 400 - 420 volts but is acceptable but 1 single volt at huge current levels if you do the math gives you hundreds of more watts and in this case probably 1000 watts and the main benefit is less overheat. I do believe with this technology you don't need to rely on alternators as much.
    Im in Australia only running a beginner 800w system. Plan is to 1 day run a 3k system, problem is my alternator is difficult 1 to change and its proprietary and the only option I have is to swap from a 70amp to a 110amp. This isnt enough power to push 3k, then the other problem is batteries. Here in Australia we don't have epic products like the US market. But I think my only option would be to get a 'cranking' lithium battery made to start sport cars replacing a lead acid.

      Though you would get simmilar results from both I would get the xp3000..... For one, it was made to be an "auxiliary" or secondary battery. and 2, if you ever get rid of it for whatever reason, it would be easier to sell as the xp3000 is a universal battery while the D3400 is application specific and could limit your buyers.

      I have never isolated my setups that run like batteries. ie: AGM with AGM. If you play your music with your car off a lot then it would be beneficial. But if you only play when car is running i would not. as they typically give you a slight voltage drop too.

      I would say yes, if it puts out decent amperage at idle. Some do, some dont. I know the mechman elites are great for putting out 225-250 amps at just 800rpm. Some alts need to get up to 2k rmp for the same output. also, your battery reserve will also help. if you got decent reserve in the rear, a 300amp alt should be just fine.

    • @NextLevelCarAudio
      @NextLevelCarAudio  3 года назад

      Limitless recommends charging upon first use so that when you connect to car the first time it does not put such a huge load on your alt and potentially burn it up. Plus, it’s good every once in a while to hook up to a charger to top off. Especially on a car like mines that is not a daily driver and sits for long periods of time. I got it on the limitless lithium website. Can also find at D4S.

    • @NextLevelCarAudio
      @NextLevelCarAudio  3 года назад +1

      I don’t like isolators as they tend to fail over time, add another moving part to the setup, and they rob you of voltage. If you daily drive it, you are fine to run them together (though not recommended by manufacturer, more so for liability reasons) but on that note, I would definitely not let them sit together for extended periods. If that’s the case, then better to just install a manual battery cut off for extended store, or remove fuse, etc. to keep them isolated for extended periods. The absolute best way to do it, is to run them on separate electrical systems like in my setup. One alt for under hood AGM, and one alt for car audio lithium. Completely isolated. If that is even an option for you.

    One bank of caps added to your system and you would have saved a grand and achieved the same end result.
    Of Course a lithium battery is going to hold voltage better in the 14v range because AGMs don't even begin to make power until below 13 volts.
