I''ve seen the recommendation that because the beginning and end of a game are what players will remember the most you should make them fairly late in development when you've already got plenty of practice with making your game.
Good reccomendation, but the beginning is much more important than the ending because of the way reviews work, and (similarly) how many more people will generally see the beginning. Less so for shorter games. In the ending the story is more important than usual, since you can easily make or break the story with the ending.

Honestly I noticed that every single time. He does it in every level, introduce a new mechanic in a "safe" environment. That's like textbook game design though

How is it none of the streamers have ever heard the word "roil"? I live in one of the most landlocked places on earth and I've known that word forever! It definitely seems like one of those words you learn in school from a vocabulary quiz though 🤓
I know it's not cool to bash other youtubers, but that guy called nobletofu does some of his streams/videos with his shirt off... If that's his shtick then whatever, just seems kind of wanky... Not a fan at all 🤣🙄🤣
So wow. British accents really do trick all of us into assuming the people are very smart. It seems "roil" is literally a word that British people would just use on a daily basis or something. It's a ridiculously common word in English. And he'd never even heard of it. I learned a lesson today too.
