Usually clone consoles should be able to output both analog and digital at the same time. I guess you got a damaged unit once again. If it had a SNES multi-out you could use RGB cables with it at least.

I live in China and recently bought one. I have the flicker problem, but the audio and video otherwise works.
I think it's outputting some kind of oddball resolution to your TV and it doesn't know what to do with it. You could try switching the resolution of your TV manually in whatever resolution your TV accepts
I used 2 tv's and both have the same problem ... lol !
Wowwww! It's a shame it has these issues- it looks fabulous for a clone, and that 4:3 / 16:9 on HDMI is a godsend... If it worked! 🙂
I looked for the GB/GBC Extension Converter from Ali-Express but they seem to be all gone now.
I recommend using the Super gameboy2
@@sebastianflesjandersen939 I have the Retroad 5 Plus and the GB/GBC Extension Converter. It doesn't work with the Super Gameboy 2. I tried. I like playing the clear games like Mario Tennis. You can't do that on Super Gameboy 2.

Hey i like your videos about this clone consoles. Please keep going. My first console was the grey Gameboy the old big one and my second console was the snes. Hope they make more clones for example some exotic like pc engine or some sega consoles. There are so many consoles that are too expensive to collect original. So thanks for your reviews😊
Should try Street Fighter Alpha 2 and Kirby see if it can run the chip in those carts .
Since these use a hardware clone, maybe the adapter/conversor they use inside the console to output HDMI doesn't like the lack of proper sync that the SFC/SNES have by design.

First one ... isn't that a emulation machine ?
It's all how you like to play ? real hardware or emulation.
And yes you can use expensive scaler to upscale to your old consoles ot an flatscreen.
In the end it's how you want to experience your old games.

SNES and GB have weird signals that modern TVs don't like so if you have a problem on this console or the previous SNES-looking model when playing SNES games or GB games through the adapter try to connect it through a HDMI switch and it should do the trick. There's never any problem when playing NES or Megadrive games, only SNES and GB because of their weird signals.
What a let down. Could have been the perfect snes clone if the HDMI had been stable.
Ik heb deze aangesloten op een oude Toshiba ledtelevisie, 60hz...werkt hierop prima. Hdmi is niet goed. Of er stereo output is? Misschien, bij sommige spellen denk ik wel verschil in geluid te horen.
Dat is top om te lezen dat die van U wel werkt.
Heb er 2 en beide hebben problemen op een of andere manier.
Werken wel prima via de AV out dus je kan hem als normale snes gebruiken.
En .. hij is ook regio vrij dus handig als je import games wilt kopen.
Japense games zijn SUPER goedkoop.

Shell and pads looking good... they just need to put better shi... inside :)
Hey guy, I have the same console, I was worried about Mario kart, I didn't have any problems by sd2snes, DSP rev 2.5 everdrive as well.
I think something your mario kart cartridge has some natching problems with the consoles.
Can you tell if this outputs stereo sound or just mono?
@soyrobin2001 it doesn't have stereo mono set, but this console uses HDMI, I guess, it supports passively stereo.
Great alternative snes console. I recommend.

I think I may be done with the Retroad products now. To bad. I have always been happy but it seems as though instead of getting better they are getting worse nowadays. It makes me feel bad for ever trying to push their products.
