What I like the most about Lamar is when he talks about Elvis you can see how much he really loved and cared about E. He always speaks the truth and is not afraid to hold back. I think all the MM never got the respect they earned by taking care of Elvis and instead all they got was negative crap they didn’t deserve so cheers to them all. All true Elvis fans already know this.
I have a question: If you would please answer it for me, I would appreciate it very much . Padilla claims she designed the TCB emblem while they were on the plane, and they saw a flash of lightning . I commented on one of my Elvis groups that I don't believe her and a member jumped all over me, saying it was true, and I didn't know what i was talking about . To make a long story short, I want to know if Billy and Jo can answer that question .I will believe what they say. Thank you, (Original Elvis Fan)

What some fans don't like is that some of them did a lot of whining after Elvis was dead, about everything from their pay on down. No one forced them to work for Elvis, and they could have left at any time. They also had many, many perks not to mention the lifestyle they enjoyed. Some weren't very loyal after Elvis died. I think most, not all, of them did the best they could while he was alive, though.

Lamar sounds like he had a natural gift of slapstick and quirky humor. I'm sure he'd be delighted that he he is well remembered by you his dear friends in life.
As lovable as Lamar May have been he did a huge disservice to Elvis memory by contributing to that horrendous book by Goldman…pure hate in every chapter. I heard he needed the money but my God! Goldman literally did a character assignation of Elvis. And to think it became such a big seller.

Billy, Elvis had you around , because you was his cousin, he could trust you with everything, you always telled the truth, you was always there for him. You could also make him laugh. I think that he thought of you like a brother!!! You guys stories are very funny!!! I love your channel, and your stories, and memories of Elvis!!!

BTW about a month ago I got a beautiful tabby kitten. At first I saw that it was a female so I named it Crystal. A few weeks went by and I noticed she was a he. I didn't know what to name him. I was listening to an Elvis song and decided to call him Memphis.

Billy , you and Jo's stories are PRICELESS. You have been with Elvis longer than anyone, and knew him before he was "Elvis". You have something that Pricilla will NEVER have, and that is common DNA with Elvis. Ya'll are blood relatives, share grandparents and a life history that should be respected and documented. EPE its missing out on a valuable opportunity by not consulting with you on everything "Elvis " related. I have been reading up on Gladys and her genealogy. What a fascinating and STRONG woman to have brought up Elvis in such hard times. She is your Aunt, Vernon your Uncle. I shake my head and wonder ....what is wrong with the picture of you not being part of EPE! It's insane. Thank goodness for your sharp memory . You are a treasure.
Listening to your stories is a little like we were there just a moment. Great fun. Lamar was an amazing guy. Elvis loved him dearly. ❤
Happy Thanksgiving to you all. On my first visit to Graceland in 1987, I met Elvis' Uncle Vester Presley across at the Heartbreak hotel restaurant. Uncle Vester was signing his two books 'A Presley speaks' and 'the Presley family cookbook, which I purchased. I went in October 1987, right after the 10th anniversary of Elvis' passing. It was a little crowded, but not like August, so I spoke to Vester for a good time. I ask him if he preferred Tupelo or Memphis. Vester said he preferred Tupelo over Memphis. I also met George Klein at a Memphis club he was a DJ. Richard Davis and another guy hung with him. I read in Uncle Vesters' book that he was married to Gladys Smith sister Clettes. I thought Vester was a good man, Did you also like Vester, and was Clettes your favorite Aunt next to Gladys. Also was your father Travis at the Graceland gate before or same time as Vester in 1957.
Billy's father was Travis.
Vested once dated Gladys I heard!

Lamar was hilarious! My favorite story was the one he told about motorcycles, He ended up missing the turn into Graceland and got stuck under a city bus. I could picture it perfectly. When Elvis bent down and looked at him, he started laughing, but managed to say, "Are you okay?" Lamar said he wasn't okay, he was stuck under a bus!
Lamar sounded like a real trip! Thank you all so much for the stories about him. They gave me some much needed laughs!

I remember reading this anecdote in the book "Elvis and MM" by A.Nash and I remember laughing a lot especially thinking about Vernon Presley's face! Even now you made me laugh so much!
I follow your channel from Italy and I like you very much, because of the way you talk about your time with Elvis, we can sense that you spent good and "also" not so good moments with him but you always talk about him with affection and respect. You are a beautiful and fun couple, it's nice to see the complicity between you, to notice the feeling of love that unites you even after many years of life together, I'm about your age and I'm lucky to be experiencing a similar situation with my husband , a situation of well-being that is appreciated more and more as the years go by.
Returning to Elvis, I asking myself how nice it would have been if he had lived longer and at some point he too would have finally managed to have similar "luck".........👋👋

I love the story you told us about him telling Lisa go tell your daddy I don’t care and Elvis called downstairs and talked to Lamar. My Question Is that true that in Elvis’s funeral a branch broke and fell on Car Ginger Alden was in because I have read this story in multiple books.
The branch didn't hit Ginger's car, but a healthy limb did break off a tree near the front door. There was no wind, and afterwards the branch was divided among the mafia guys and Linda. There might have been others also.

What I didn't like about Lamar, he did not use discretion and respect when he told very personal private information on Elvis. That in my mind, is NOT caring about nor respecting a friend. He was wrong to reveal it. Other MMs were wrong in their tells of personal and private details on Elvis. Like Lisa stated, "They took away her Father's dignity." Lamar also made the statement that 'once you're dead..." In other words, nothing is sacred when you're dead. Lamar also had a tendency to exaggerate to get laughs. But, he was funny in his own right with other things. When Marty has told a story about the same event, it is quite different. I love Marty. He also stood up to parker.
It was their story to tell. You’re entitled to an opinion but you can’t say they were wrong.
It was their life involved in that entire era of Elvis’s circle as much as it was Elvis’s life. I love all the stories. Good, bad & otherwise. You take them all as they are or take none. Happy Thanksgiving!
@@jeffmitchell9863 I can say they were wrong to speak of things about Elvis' and destroying his DIGNITY. Lisa Marie spoke up about it in an interview. She hoped they rot in hell. But she is entitled - Elvis was her Daddy and she protected him. No one should tell what they know in public venue nor books, their friends' PRIVATE things, things that involve THEIR DIGNITY. Yes, I can and do say it was and is wrong.

In my opinion and only an opinion, I believe Elvis deeply loved Billy for several reasons.Being so close physically in many addresses and watching out for youngster Billy, Elvis was like a big brother.He felt responsibility of taking care of Billy especially.I think Billy was a great leveler, a common person who shared Elvis' southern roots.Billy knew Elvis' flaws and loved him regardless.Billy's personality entertained Elvis and Elvis trusted him explicitly as his confidant.Billy was not there for his money but for Elvis.Elvis knew that he could rely on Billy' s good nature and honesty.According to Billy, Elvis did not confide everything to him, but he confided a lot.Elvis, a private man, had few confidants, and Billy was one if those few. I believe he loved Billy after Gladys and Vernon the most.

Don’t worry about the surgery! You are not put to sleep,just relaxed,No pain at all ,healing about one day,no soreness just better sight. That’s the way it was for me and so glad that I had it on both eyes! I pray that it will be the same for you ! Jo

Did they all have close relationship with Elvis? How did Uncle Vernon and Pasty get along? When did Pasty Marry and did her husband work for Elvis? How many children did they have? Do they still work at Graceland. Is Uncle Vester and his wife still alive? Want to hear about that side of the family!!!!
