(Neither frisk or the player has any emotional impact on asriel since they only knew him when he was a soulless flower, while Chara was a friend and sibling to asriel) without Chara you could never have spared asriel. Also when did Chara ever manipulate you into taking the deal? They only said to give them your soul and they will fix the timeline. TLDR: Chara was manipulated/influenced into genocide intentional or not and I don’t remember them manipulating you into taking the deal

He simply confused Frisk with Chara (he literally talks about this, even explains it by the fact that Chara and Frisk have similar clothes). Even if this is true, there is nothing confirms this (correct me if I'm wrong). Although it is true that Chara was resurrected against their will, it was still their choice to help us. They even warn the player that we missed the monsters in the waterfall
