It has been 10 years now, and this music only make it self more nostalgic as time goes on
11 years now. I'm still looking this song up
@@MrRocklobsters same, still a staple in any of my playlists
Feel the Energy right now ❤
Everytime i hear Carl Sagan's quote in this I almost cry. Many people today are so fixated on material things, celebrities, what other people may think of us. Instead of exploring and getting to understand the vast worth and universe that we are privileged to have a spot in time of which we get to see it change.
That was deep, man!
***** You ruined it :(
Read the Bible so you know but you don't.
I just want to watch the sunset on a different planet with someone I care about right now

jeroen van geene oh shit that's right *facepalm* it's been too long since the glory days
It's 3:37AM and I'm sitting up here on this mountain in my home town with the city lights below and looking at the night sky above me listening to this beautiful song. So beautiful
Everything was so so different 7yrs back

Chillin at 3AM contemplating the meaning of life
yes mate. this is the perfect tune for that. 'we go about our daily lives understanding almost nothing of the world, we give little thought to the machinery that generates sunlight that makes life possible...'
Better done in dark then in light the star chillaxing, feeling better, just AWESOMENESS!:-D
im chilling here waiting for this to _freaking load_... -_-
+GamerProductions 2016 has it loaded yet ?? I'm waiting fro three months now...*sigh*
Sparky 1:01a.m. here lol Did I just hear Allan Watts in there?!?! omg I love this song
The quote is Carl Sagan’s introduction to Stephen Hawking’s “A Brief History of Time”, the audio comes from the audiobook version Narrated by Michael Jackson (not musician), the quote is Carl Sagan’s however the audio is NOT Carl Sagan himself, nor is it Alan Watts in any case he is completely unrelated
"We go about our daily lives understanding almost nothing of the world. We give little thought to the machinery that generates the sunlight that makes life possible, to the gravity that glues us to an Earth that would otherwise send us spinning off into space, or to the atoms of which we are made and on whose stability we fundamentally depend. Few of us spend much time wondering why nature is the way it is; where the cosmos came from, or whether it was always here; if time will one day flow backward and effects precede causes; or whether there are ultimate limits to what humans can know. What is the smallest piece of matter. Why do we remember the past and not the future. And why there is a universe."
I wondered who it was, thank you. And Happy Birthday Carl, we miss you.
Carl was one of the most eloquent and intelligent people that ever lived. Reading Demon Haunted World is almost like reading a passage predicting the future.

makes me thing about so many things. About hellos and goodbyes, life and death. Travelling, being alone, whilst being so close and intimate at the same time. It makes me happy to listen to this song as much as it makes me feel sad. Although humanity is here all together on this one planet as a species, as a family connected in so many ways, we still live as if everyone around us are complete strangers. Everyone needs to open their eyes and look ahead to our potential
Amen
Bro me too
A six year old comment? Sorry for the necro, but I agree. We're ALL people. We all need to work together to make the feeling we get whilst listening to this track something everyone can experience.
Still Rameses B's best song.
agreed been listening to this song for years. nothing tops it
"We love" is a bit better imo.
+Ozymandias "North" is the best one in my opinion but this one is good as well
haven't listened very much of his stuff but i have to say: this is the best!
+michaelangelscud oh yeah North, now that one has got some feels in it, great song!
So, I was listening to this song the other day when the Moon was a sliver and right next to Venus on the horizon. And then Alan Watts voice spoke in the song and I had the most existential self awareness moment of being so very small among the cosmos and I was at peace with this limited understanding and motivated by simply appreciating the existence of my current location in life.
Wow
Josh Buesching I am so touched with your words.
Linda Lee Thanks!
:0 That is astonishing
+Joeseph I like your photo lol :D
A friend of mine said to me this is noise. He said this isn't music.
He tried to convince me that metal is better than this.
I don't know what to say. I mean, for me this is for sure the kind of music you can listen in heaven.
Is peaceful and relaxing.
Lol mine told me the same thing
Same thing here, but not only that. Mine friend also said "How is this music? This is made on a computer." Only thing I can say is that this is better music then half of shitty mainstream things out there...
***** Everyone can have their own opinion... you're friends a jerk for saying this isn't music, don't be the same as them. I happen to like this, screamo and most things.
just tell him "i used to listen to metal too, but then i turned 13" gets them every time...

this song is 6 years old, and it still makes me just as calm and happy as it did back then

simple answer.....
QURAN.
I was 13 when I first heard you post back in 2013 and this song did something to me and made me a lot wiser and now I’m 23 10 years later now and even tho I’m going through rough times in life this song manages to motivate me for some reason and release something for me :)
I was 25 when i first discovered this song.. I know about being through shitty times at that age. Make the best of it, fight through the shitty times !
yo lol
Ifound this song 50 yo
Just listened to this beautiful track again and I realized it makes me so grateful to be alive. Even though I am fighting my own battles, I am grateful to experience listening to something so euphoric. Rameses B is criminally underrated.
@@Shaggii_ this song is using a spiritual frequency of some sort I believe , this song triggered deep philosophies I wasn’t even capable of being aware of at the time , truly magical
I come back to this time and time again when I know my soul needs it.
Never fails to give me a full system reboot. Love you Rameses B!
It's funny because I'm sitting in my garage and needed to decompress and so I put this song on just now and lit up too lol and then started to read the comments and saw this one. So true!!
ah man, thinking back to 2012-2013 makes me so happy and sad, I discovered such good music that made me a really happy person. thank you Rameses B.
Makes me think about things that haven't been answered. Questions like if there is life out there in space? Why are we here? Is there life after death? And at the same time, it makes me feel happy, calm and very relaxed
All of the questions are really thought provoking in my opinion, except that one where he says why don't we remember the future, because one can't remember something that hasn't happened yet.
Rameses B music was that efect in people
19976232 Um, you see, he says this because time isn't really linear. It is not a straight line of things that had happened being on the one end and things that will happen on the other. Time is happening all at once. Every event is happening at once. It is us who give it a unit of measurement, because we think it is as we percieve it. It is also (as Ainstein theorized) relative with space. If you travel to the other end of the univerce, the earth will be decades in the past where you to to percieve it from there. Tha faster you travel away from something the more into the past it will be (not like from a city to another but from a galaxy to another). Time is relative to positioning and speed, really not as we percieve it. It would be possible to remember the future, and not the past.
***** I understand what you're saying, as I've learned it before in an astrophysics book. However, "future" means things that have not yet come to pass, and will exist at a later point in time. "Remember" means able to bring to one's mind an awareness of someone or something that one has seen, known, or experienced in the past. Therefore, remembering the future is not possible because it is in the definition of remember that one must have awareness of something in the past.
Right on the money here!
Still get tingles every time. I feel like my mind is expanding.
Wasabi D your not alone! Elon musk status.
Indeed my fellow friend, why do we remember the past but not the future, and why is there a Universe...
becuz there is :3

How can we remember the future, if it never happened though?
Literally one of my favourite songs of all time. 4 years later, and I still return to this song for guidance, for clarity, and for hope.

I'll tell you what you have to do while listening to those kind of songs - especially this one:
wait for a clear night, gather your camping chair and maybe a beer or so and head outside in the night. Listening to this and watching the stars makes you to a philosopher instantly. It really makes you calm down and forget about all your problems.
I personally enjoy this type of music when actually writing papers for a philosophy class haha. Especially one discussing quantum physics and the theory of our existence.
I did this one night, words cant describe how beautiful everything suddenly became..
Yeah the title of this song is quite fitting as I've always thought of these kind of songs as really good calm-at-night songs. Always nice to listen to while on the highway, at night, traveling home from having fun with friends.
This is my favorite song by RB, it feels to broaden my mind and think of the bigger picture.
Really have you heard The Meaning of Life by ram?
Cory Berends Oh yes, that too is one of my favorites, but I cant ever get past Moonlight without jamming.
this song is 10 years old now and it still brings the nostalgia, i still love the part where there was the speech from the man
the 'man' is Alan Watts.
I like it too, you're absolutely right.
I found your music when I was going through a really tough time as a teenager. This music let me spiritually level up to where I am now. This channel is a comfort zone for me ❤
Rameses B's vocals are always on point
Walk along, the breeze of moonlight,

Afar the stars align and cross,

To seek and find the common answer.

Cedric Scorch Beautiful thank you! :)
The Carl Sagan quote mid song is so beautifully done as with much of this song.
It's one of the things that keeps me coming back.
Alan Watts. Not Carl Sagan..
The Quote is 100% Carl Sagan. That is not Alan Watts. This voice is taken from an audio book of Stephen Hawking's A brief history of time in which Sagan is quoted. The British voice you are hearing is not Alan Watts, but another man who coincidentally is named Michael Jackson.
Not sure where people are getting Alan Watts from.
There was a video which was an audio book by alan watts of Stephen hawking's book. Maybe their voice just sounds the same.
You can find the audiobook read by Michael Jackson on audible btw
I can just imagine myself going up a hill at night and then lay down to watch the stars above me as the music fill my ears along with the guy's voice talking about the things that exist around me....
I started listening to RB when i was a Junior in high school. Im almost 28 and you cant imagine how much joy that rushes over me hearing this music all over again.
Cant... Stop... LISTENING!

I absolutely adore this song for many reasons. This is why I love songs without lyrics, the comments are positive. I wish everyone would listen to this and be happy together in existence.
We go about our daily lives understanding almost nothing of the world.
生于此处却不知此处
We give little thought of the machinery that generates the sunlight and makes life possible.
日光倾城,万物生长,又是为何?
To the gravity that glues us to the earth that would otherwise send us spinning off into space.
若没有大地的拥抱,我们早已消失于茫茫宇宙之中
Or to the atoms that which we are made.. and on who’s stability we fundamentally depend.
若没有原子之稳定,我们亦不复存在
Few of us spend much time wondering why nature is the way it is.
无人问天地变换,斗转星移,是为何故?
Where the cosmos came from.
宇宙又是源于何处
Whether it was always there.
它是否无始无终?
If time will one day flow backward.
时间若愿意倒流
Or whether there are ultimate limits to what humans can know.
我们的认知是否还会有局限?
What is the smallest piece of matter.
世间最渺小之物又是什么?
Why we remember the past and not the future.
滚滚长江,却只留有过去,不知未来
And why there is a universe.
浩淼宇宙,为何我们在此相遇

Best song hands down!!! 👆👇⚡🌠🔱🌘⛎🌒🐍👁 As within so without love is thy way...
Three years later and this song still makes me feel great AND forget everything!
really? This song makes me remember everything, the good, the bad, and makes me think ahead for the future.
This was the first song which got me goosebumps 2 years before ..
Don't know why but this song connects with my soul and takes me to some eternal place....
The drop after he says and "Why there is the universe" it just gives heavenly feel...😍😍😍
Thanks " B" for this Godly song👍
Why do we remember the past and not the future? It's legendary ♥
Maybe cause the past has happened already
Bro how can we REMEMBER the future? Its isn't just happened
shahri ur not understanding the meaning of the quote... he’s referring to the brain’s capabilities of forming memory but not foreseeing events
@@ImFatez yeah and especially because time isn't linear. Actually, time is just an illusion, so given that, why does our brain only see those parts that (in our illusion) have already happened (wow , words really fail to describe those complex things :D)
Its like beyond the world
This is what music really is when you can feel it touch your soul and makeyou get attached to it quickly and this is one of them !
It's crazy how much emotion is contained in 5 minutes of sound.
12 years and this melody just gives the vibes
Epic Minigames on roblox. This song is amazing
Just....Absolutely...Amazing...
It took me many years to find this song and I thought it's only me who deeply love this music,I'm glad people like me out there.
My favorite song ever. Helped uplift me when I was undergoing an existential crisis. Still brings back good vibes.
When hundreds of descriptive words fluster you at once and you're too overwhelmed to even begin writing down how you feel, that is when you know the piece is truly amazing. This song is: Moving, Melodic, Creative, Thought - Provoking, Paradisaical, Beautiful, Magnificent, Captivating, Inspiring, Unrivaled, Perfect. This is Rameses B's magnum opus.
“A flower knows, when its butterfly will return, and if the moon walks out, the sky will understand; but now it hurts, to watch you leave so soon, when I don't know, if you will ever come back...”
I wish... that I did not have to die so soon.
Thank you for this nice song.
I hope that you're not referring to what I think you are....
Death and Life are two of the same. For to die means nothing more than to live.
DEATH is a taught lie! YOU SIMPLY JUST vacate!

still alive
This song gave me the best chills of my life. Like my spine was tingling for a good 3 minutes wow i love THESE GUYS!
Right in the soul, every time...
It's been years since the first time I've heard this song. Now it's at the top of my Starfield Playlist.

+Antony Ziglar This is a speech from Carl Sagan, an astronaut :)
Never knew what he said thanks ... And what he says is true imo
+sud270602 This must be an early-Carl-Sagan. I don't think Carl wasted time with "Why" questions in his later (atheistic) life. He was great in his own way, but shut out a braoder concept of truth...because of his "chosen ignorance" of the why questions.
it's because of this song i don't listen to rap music anymore
Good job :)
why not both?
themugvart not to begin an argument or anything of that sort but in my opinion, rap music is a bit bland and not quite as unique as this music. That's just me... I suppose I wasn't the person you were asking :P
Because you like one thing, automatically means you can't like another. Obviously.
It's because I listen to songs like this, that when I listen to rap songs, I listen more closely than ever, to understand.
it's been 8 years sinceI first listened to this song but it still has the same effect on me
Classic.....so much peace...so much nostalgia....i love you my dude, Rameses B. You are a God.
My go-to song. Clear starlit sky...toasty campfire and lost in though about our heavenly creator. It’s just amazing!❤️

And it so happens that I am one of those few. It is intriguing how little we think about such seemingly minute things. Maybe because we are used to them. However, I feel it is necessary to think about these 'minute things' every once in a while, and thank them. Because if even one of theses things was gone, we wouldn't exist. We would be nothing but lifeless mass, something repeatable. But with life, with all of these 'minute things' perfectly balanced, we are unique. Life is unique, because every living thing can live how it wants, unbound by anything. Free.
So thank you, 'minute things', for making me, and therefore allowing me to realize how important you are.
Are you sure that's Carl Sagan? It sounds more like Alan Watts.
Yes it's Alan Watts
I think its a Carl Sagan quote being read by Alan Watts or someone that sounds similar to him at least lol :D
