Clapton was 20 when he joined the Bluesbreakers, Peter Green 19, and here Mick Taylor is 18! What astonishing playing from a teenager!
He had big shoes to fill! Both his predecessors were nicnknamed ‘gods’ lol
All three, as well as Jeff Beck and Alvin Lee played at the festival that weekend.
This is great!!!! If it was released on a CD, I'd buy it. I wonder if this performance was filmed? Mayall and Taylor just about at their best, not to mention the other members of the Bluesbreakers.Just wonderful music skilfully played.
Thank God the rhythm section drops out once in a while so I can here Mick play. Sloppy recording ...but I'm glad it exists. Thanks for the post.
Mick Taylor kicks his guitar into high gear. Could we expect less from the best.
Thanks for uploading this!
The horns need to find A 440.
This is why MT rules
i think i know the tune it was on LP
sounds very bad
You try finding a better-sounding recording of it!
This is probably an audience recording and we're talking about 1967 here.
Idiot.
