Wood, get the mouthguard. I've worn one for 7 years. The dentist will make a special mold and it only bothered me the first week I wore it. Now I can't imagine sleeping without it.
Agreed if I even take a nap without mine in it feels horrible Wood I agree I highly recommend them, also it’s nice seeing your smile so it would be sad to miss that.

The Nintendo ambassador program is functionally a method of control over creators and influencers who shape the conversations around Nintendo products and services. They don't want the wider public to ask questions like "why was Pikmin 3 just removed from the Wii U eshop right before the switch re-release?" or "What is emulation?" They realize influencers raise awareness of these things. Ultimately, Nintendo sees guys like Wulf and Beatemups as independent voices who threaten their ability to overcharge their customers.
Personally, I love how you guys just went into this podcast with all that energy. It much more engaging and organic instead of a seemingly topic scripted podcast. This is what podcasts are all about. Start the conversation about literally whatever and just let it go where it goes. Well done gents.

Just wanted to say that honestly you guys don't HAVE to stay on topic all the time. The idea for me is to make an episode main topic, get around to talk about it, maybe have a couple side topics in case it's a little short, then accept tangents. That's the best part about podcasts, is the flow and energy from having the hosts (and guests) talking about whatever comes to mind. So don't worry if you trail off, so long as you get the episode's main idea across. Past that? You do you!

This podcast is actually way better than I was expecting. You guys are freaking hilarious 🤣 You guys have some good synergy as well. I have been looking for a new podcast to listen to in the background when I'm out and about running errands and going to appointments, and you guys are it! Two of some of my favorite content creators doing on together is absolutely Perfect. Subbed for sure. Hopefully this takes off and you guys will stick with it. I noticed this video exploded compared to the sub count of the channel, and the other vids seem to be doing well. Keep up the awesome work guys!

Very entertaining, watched on RUclips, thought I'd have to break up the viewing of an hour, but ended up finishing in 1 go. Only note I'd have is a few times I had trouble hearing Wulf. Which was funny as Wood later on adjusted his own mic..
Wulff does do this thing where he randomly starts mumbling and like talking quietly tbf.
Love this podcast, please keep it going. Metal Jesus Rocks just got even cooler helping Wood out like that.

I just love that the best parts of the Nontendo podcast is when they talk about anything but Nintendo and videogames
I think this podcast is super important regarding Nintendo content. Just the honest genuine truth about the good, bad, and ugly of Nintendo by not fanboying over them as much as other content creators often do just so they can be ambassadors for Nintendo.
Wood is the biggest fanboy. He already said he quit Nintendo before and he was back right after reviewing their stuff for free.

I don't believe there was any official contract as he didn't get paid for being apart of it, but they did take him off the ambassador program a long time ago for breaking some rule. He claimed he was going to quit making Nintendo videos after that, yet he continued to do so. Now he is claiming to be quiting them again. He is going to keep giving Nintendo free advertising even though he is no longer officially one of their ambassadors. The fanboy in him won't let him quit. Smh
@@SourStrawberrys You do sign an agreement to not do emulator or piracy/hack/mod content of Nintendo games. He did that, and while it isn't paid explicitly, it does have restrictions to get the free stuff they give ambassadors.
A lot of the reason nintendo is so successful and has lasted as long as they have is because they are fiercely protective of their brand and their image
@@golfer435 He didn't lose any free stuff. He specifically said back in that video that they agree to still send him free games to play but he won't be officially one of their ambassadors. So he didn't lose the benefits but he was upset that he lost the title. Go back and watch that video if it is still up.
No, Nintendo has lasted this long because they have popular games they refuse to put on other systems. It doesn't mean their games cannot or have not been emulated by fans. There has always been people by passing that.
The only other company I’ve seen do something as restrictive as Nintendo is LEGO- similar murky requirements, and people dropped for not adhering to that semi-kid friendly, squeaky clean brand friendliness.

@@cheeeeezewizzz well Nintendo and videogames were synonymous in the 90s so whenever some kid shot his friend "after playing doom" the headlines were all Nintendo this and Nintendo that even if doom wasn't on Nintendo consoles (it was tbf). Either way Nintendo would be blamed so you can't blame them for being extra careful. The idea of videogames just being straight banned wasn't so ludicrous then in the days of video nasties etc. Their survival depended on cultivating that image. I'm not defending Nintendo, however. No-one was a bigger fan. I couldn't be more pissed off with them.
Also they don't own gamefreak or make pokemon so cant really be blamed for pokemon company/gamefreak shenanigans. A lot of people don't realise how little creative control they exert in that franchise. They barely get to touch it. They're just lucky its on their console.
Wood and Wulff! Strong first episode, love hearing the insider opinions on “working with Nintendo.” And the Pokémon stuff was so interesting, I hope you talk more about how that partnership began! Loved the episode 🙌
It took me 48 minutes to notice the poster in the background. I’m so glad Wood convinced Bob to do this, it’s fantastic. And I’m not huge on podcasts

I never understood gaming RUclips channels until I stumbled across BeatEmUps and Wulff Den. I've been subscribed to both of your channels for years and became very excited when y'all became friends and started working on some collab projects. Super excited for this new adventure with two of my favorite RUclipsrs together as one.

I didn't know what to expect but y'all's dynamic hooked me all the way until the end. I like that Wood relaxed half way through.

I do 4x10s, so my shift goes a bit later than a normal 3rd shift, and then I sleep right after work. Either way, 1:00pm Eastern was right in the middle of my sleep cycle. Hence why I said, I'll catch this when I wake up.
Finally got to watch all of the episode and it was a really great watch. Thanks guys for putting this together, its fun watching you bounce stuff off each other in an open format.

It's very interesting to see the dynamic of twins hosting a podcast together.
I'm a dentist. The first couple minutes hit deep.
I have a "routine" story. Every day after weights or morning swim practice, I would get breakfast. Same thing every day: a blueberry bagel w/strawberry cream cheese and a strawberry banana smoothie. There was a wrestler who worked at the place when I came in. Every day. And he never had it entirely ready for me, but he was always prepared, and would ask "blueberry...?" or later on "the usual?" No one else was ever there when I was, and I was at the time completely a creature of habit, so I never minded. That was the extent of our conversation, in addition to me saying "please" and "thank you" and maybe once in awhile "good luck this weekend". Like, that was it. At the end of the year, with maybe a month left, I went in and he asked me "the usual?" And I said, "Actually, can I get a chocolate chip bagel with strawberry cream cheese and a mixed berry smoothie?" And without missing a beat, he said "What?! You can't do this to me! You're the one consistent thing in my life!" And I thought he was joking, so I laughed. And he seemed fine when I payed and everything. To this day, I have no idea if he was kidding or serious. He seemed find the rest of the year, too, every time when I got my new "usual". But I still wonder sometimes.
I've been a "nontondo" person for decades. Thanks for making this pod cast. Nintendo is extremely consumer unfriendly which you two are experts on from having to interact with them.

Family Friendly works on youtube because an overwhelming majority of the RUclips viewtime is from children. Twitch is PG-13+ you cant be on twitch if your under 13, its in the TOS. So its always funny being in Bahbs chat when Wood raids him. Im really excited about this podcast. Seeing the worlds collide is gonna be fun. PS. Nintendo dosnt understand the internet. I like hearing how bad they screw things up.
One of the best things about podcasts are the stream of consciousness moments where you don't stay on topic. Have a main topic picked, but don't feel pressured to talk about it non-stop.
IIRC Arlo was also dropped from the ambassador program around the same time as Wood and no longer gets stuff from Nintendo. It's almost as if every content creator with more than x number of subscribers was dropped within in a very short time frame.
But more importantly, hey this was fun. Nice job gentleman.
Which was especially odd as Arlo NEVER does anything that Nintendo possibly dislikes. He basically only does reviews and hype videos, never doing anything like emulator content. HES A FREAKIN PUPPET. Nintendo obviously didn't cut him for content reasons which leaves doubt as to whether Wood got cut for content reasons. I think they were just thinning the program of large creators as you said.
OJ became an ambassador for nintendo the same day Wood was dropped n hide it from everyone. Which pisses me off to no end. Remember OJ ranted he would never become an ambassador for reasons, the same week wood was dropped. Such a freaking tool! Wouldn't be surprised if OJ complained to Nintendo about wood and arlo
Wood wasn't dropped because he got big, by his own admission, he was dropped because he made content using an emulator to hack Breath of the Wild.

About going to places that know you, I actually have that experience. Every time I go into this one restaurant I order the same thing but we have a joke with the wait staff where I stare at another page and go “hmm, I’m gonna branch out this time and go with (insert my usual here)”
I remember jumping on Bob's streams after Wood's streams before they had met I'm sooooo happy to see them working together like this years later.
Worked with Golin Harris for a few years. They would always say they'd have review copies of this or that and they never did.

Would like to suggest some better compression on the audio to stabilize the dynamic range. The difference between the louder excited moments and regular talk is all over the place. I had to turn up and down the volume too much. Just a suggestion.
Honestly I watch Bob’s stuff FOR the ads. He has the best skits for his ads

Travis Strikes Again is a love letter to Suda's entire career! The returning characters, nods to past works and experiences, its basically Suda51 Universe the game. Its incredible. Maybe one day you'll give it another chance.
This was great. Just enough entertaining content to do the brakes on my wife’s car and ended almost EXACTLY as I finished lol now I’m gonna go ironically record more Pokémon Shield gameplays lol side note I just looked down and realized I’ve been wearing a pikachu t shirt the entire time

I unsubbed and couldn't even watch Wood's videos once he did the whole crying thing, begging for money to donate to charities all while his channel was making *BANK* and he was opening up PO Box for gifts like "OH Moi GAwd! Whoi deed yoi sind me this!?" $400 gifts from fans who don't have two nickels to rub together and his channel was making him at least $300k+/yr hahahah Also, mark my words, this channel name will get the C&D within a month. They're not stupid.

I would say the audio needs work especially for the audio only versions where no visuals can help you understand what’s being said at times. Barring that, the content is a great start.

I've got to say, as someone who used to teach sex ed I think it's pretty damn great that Bob talks about ED. Getting help with that is no weirder than using lube if you don't get wet enough.
And yes, more than half of men will have some form of ED (mild, moderate, or complete), and although it's more common in older men it's already at around 40% of 40-year old men.
