Tokyo in 2019!! Timesplitters! Time to split! Childhood and nostalgia, man. I remember being a kid playing this game, brand new, back in 2002. I will cherish these memories forever...
To be 7 again and find so much wonder in these stages and getting so excited at the idea of unlocking a new stage or character to play in multiplayer arcade matches. It was one of the best feelings about playing Timesplitters and it’s something that can’t be felt again as an adult.
i whole heartedly agree with this, i just downloaded pcsx2 and got future perfect and timesplitters 2, the nostalgia was real but it just wasnt the same thing as back then..... the grind was unstoppable then....
I like to think this game is a gift that keeps on giving. I first just played it for the silly tidbits, and just the general chaos when I was younger. I have a refined a good bit, and I am picky about the stories I dive into. This one remains a really great one, because it has all these different aspects all culminated into one nice package. This map in particular hits a lot of my current interests, mainly because I'm big on cyberpunk stuff. This is big Akira, Ghost in the shell, as well as Deus Ex vibes. And then there's the inclusion of the Splitters themselves, which I won't spoil for those that might still come investigate this Mission later on. It's almost spooky, but also funny because I would say this time line was the timeline the Splitters were the most unfortunate to land on. Humans are a little too experimental at this point in time, and aren't afraid of much.
The masterpiece that is this track on top of coming from a masterpiece of a game and being matched with the perfect tone and setting of the in-game level while enhanced audio and visuals play is the cherry on top of being able to enjoy this game for what it is to this day. Life really imitated art here as well as during the production of this entire series as a whole and I'm grateful I got to experience life while Timesplitters existed
Oh when we played it with friend and Siberia mission was closer than neo tokyo one. Time flies. My favorite game on PS2 and sometimes i still play it on my xbox with friends. Still a blast.
the ambience and feel of this level was so brilliant (although the level was objectively a bit too difficult) The 'cross now' voice always stuck in my head, so i had to create a song for my band based around it, we also made a music video, which granted isnt tokyo but another neon asian city heh
I really love that there's an actual TimeSplitters ambient video. This series is just so unique and wonderful. Thanks so much for making this. .nwn. Is the police vehicle in this at all? That only shows up on Normal and Hard difficulties and alerts the police like the cameras do if it sees you. Also, if I might make a suggestion for TS ambience videos, including the delay between music loops that the games have would really add to the immersion imo. ;w;
I would totally just walk around the level for hours taking in the atmosphere. My brothers and friends would be so pissed and beg me to freakin' finish it. lolz
DAMN!! Such "ambience!" I've, played this, game. On the Xbox 360 DEMO. "Siberia" Level track WAS my "fav." BUT! After, hearing THIS track!? 🤔 I'm... "Loving This!" 💕 😁
Perfect video! Ambience in old games are unmatchable. No game from the modern era an match the sound design of the old games, which is ironic. Look how system Shock 1 manages to have top notch sounds and depending on the soundfront, it sounds differently. l am waiting for more timesplitters(either 2 or even the other ones) ambience if you can make. Sound design is crucial in a game, it gives personality and explains things that can't be explained normally.
Imagine if they werent so afraid of trying to redo these games. It was mere technological restrictions that makes this game seem not so deep. But we have hardware now. Imagine how big each timezone area could be, and how much less linear it could be. No, dont Ubisoft it and put in a bunch of unnecessary quests to do chores, just the same thing as this game but bigger. There's too many AAA titles that used to shimmer in the sunlight that have lost their luster and weird niche games (as well as old school ones) being picked up today for anyone to think timesplitters wouldn't have an audience if it came back swinging.
Random thing that only a psychopath would remember: There's ONE audio file in story mode where a female NPC from Neotokyo (one of the street citizens) has a unique sound effect to her combat that no one else in game shares. I always found that weird as a kid hahaha. Anyways such a throwback omg.
I've been listening to this for about 30 minutes now, all this new news of the Timesplitters trilogy coming to PS5 and 4 make me want to just boot up my PS2 next to me right now
Care to share a source? I thought Free Radical was closed up again and were not even being allowed to continue working on a new TS title? Embracer group ruined it for the fans, are they going to release the games only as a cheap cash grab? I seriously hope not! Because this franchise has been treated pretty bad for such a long time...
Believe it or not on the hardest difficulty you can goto the ramen stand at the lowest level and pick up an over shield. There’s a old man there too. I’m not sure why it’s in the game and why it only appears in the hardest difficulty.

I play the ts2 soundtrack sometimes when I'm working, but man, I didn't realize how much the rain and thunder add to feeling of this track
I Hope TimeSplitters 4 lives up to the Original Games, with Graeme Norgate doing the Music!!!!
Perfect choice of ambience. Now it feels like we're back in 1982 experiencing Blade Runner for the 1st time
When you think about it...when this game came out, 2002, it is now closer to 1982 than 2024
Oh this game, so hard for me but so fun too.
Such an aesthetic cyber scenery there
Graeme Norgate is a genius.
@1:00 that’s a vibe
He walkin like a cowboy
*Walk Now. Walk Now. Walk Now* 😝
That ambience fits so lovely withy this already magical and mystical theme 😊🥰
One hour of pure audio bliss.
Thank you for this . I use this to help sleep a lot of my restless nights now lmao
Whoever is in your profile pic, let her know she is so beautiful her eyes are incredible

this brings back so many memories and feelings...... wow...... absolutely GOATED game...
Dude the video itself is amazing! Nice work I actually really love the effort you put into the scenery
Thank ya, I tried to show off the level from unique positions, while trying to keep it interesting to watch. And I'm glad you liked it so much :)
Oh when we played it with friend and Siberia mission was closer than neo tokyo one. Time flies. My favorite game on PS2 and sometimes i still play it on my xbox with friends. Still a blast.
Dude I love these game ambience videos. Keep em coming please 👌🏻
Glad you like them man, I'm planning another in a week or 2. And more in the future too, I enjoy making them :)
I get a James Bond on a mission in Tokyo vibe from this track. So good.
this music brings back memories

A tribute to Vangelis's Bladerunner while also having cool motifs to the main Timesplitters theme. Probably one of the best songs on the soundtrack.
This version of 2019 is now Alternate History
You have NO idea how much joy & nostalgia this brings me. Thank you so much for making this 🙏
Thanks for putting this together i really like it. :)
this music makes lets me have peace and quiet

THIS IS SO GOOD!
blade runner meets ghost in the shell!
That intro always got me 0:01-0:47
Childhood and nostalgia! 🥋🥋🥋
I would totally just walk around the level for hours taking in the atmosphere. My brothers and friends would be so pissed and beg me to freakin' finish it. lolz
Treee comentary a love you loppy longplays😍
Fits well with Cyberpunk 2077's new DLC very well.
I must’ve sucked that bad at this lvl to really start vibing to this. Good memories with my lil bro.
Not Japanese being spoken
The music is the best in this Level.
OH this goes hard

"Loving This!" 💕 😁
Yeah this is one of my favorite timesplitter songs. It fits so well with rain and thunder. Glad to hear you like it :)
I love neotokyo
you're a legend
legend
Looks like this level is inspired by Bladerunner

we need a remaster of this gem
So cool 😎
Very Bladerunner

this is what a remaster would feel like if they were to release one.
An anonymous meeting is currently in progress.
Awesome!
I've been listening to this for about 30 minutes now, all this new news of the Timesplitters trilogy coming to PS5 and 4 make me want to just boot up my PS2 next to me right now
I can’t believe it, that’s really good news :D
They’re finally bringing it back… TIME TO SPLIT!!!
Care to share a source? I thought Free Radical was closed up again and were not even being allowed to continue working on a new TS title?

Perfect
Cross now cross now
I love how cool the level is ( and it's so cool I wish we got a game based off of it ) but it's such a shame the stealth level feels so janky.
This stage is too hard as 1player
Could never do it. I should watch a letsplay and do it.

he also appears at lower difficulties, he is the master a character you can play in the timesplitters series
❤️❤️❤️
The music and aesthetics are too good for this horrible level. 😂
Was just falling asleep and then boom, advert starts blarring lol
Bro if you aren't using ad blocker you are slipping.
Testing to see if I can sleep to this…
Update, yes.
2019 its a past
The year this game came out is closer to Blade Runner 1982 than to 2024...
sadako got exactly what she deserve to what s coming to her for framing ghost
This should be in an anime.
Omg
You know its hard to support you when you allow camershall
