I was the biggest fan of GG throughout the 1970's, and saw every UK tour they did. This is very interesting to hear and translates remarkably well. Although I appreciate the technical challenge of such contrapuntal music, there are some glaring moments when they could have been tighter as an ensemble, their timing drifts a little which did spoil it a bit for me. It could be down to the setup on stage, I can see a couple of floor monitors and the drums likely had one too, but it sounds like they are not all hearing each other clearly enough, as individually they are quite competent. GG finally seem to be having a real renaissance and appreciation of their considerable work, and gaining new fans all the time. Such a shame they never got the global recognition they so richly deserved. Changing fashions, and a general public with little taste for hearing challenging music, left the band as outsiders, but that is also their appeal, feeling like you are part of a little known club. Steve Wilson's recent remasters have brought further notice to GG, and it's just a shame we are highly unlikely to ever see the band play together on stage again, but I still hope.
I think GG is a great group to hear and enjoy other interpretations from other great musicians. Would love to hear a mix of GG, Zappa, Tull and Neal Morse all done into one song. Even Zappa considered the Bassoon has one of the most difficult instruments to play. I'm still mastering the triangle.
I wonder: What would this sound like to someone who not only had never heard the original versions, but didn't know that the whole suite was an adaptation of half-a-dozen (prog) rock tunes? Stylistically, it doesn't really sound like anything quite identifiable: It's not folk music - the melodies are either too angular, or too reminiscent of Western pop music. it's not classical music for the same reason, plus it repeats small cells too much for classical music. It's not rock or pop music - it's too dissonant, and even the more tuneful sections have odd chord changes. .
Well...where is the swing ???? no swing !!!! to dead for the rythmic, to slow, to down beat... practice again boy, and get the spirit of this music you are far from having it...listen again the record and swing like they compose it...Bad performance by a good try...
Gentle Giant, top prog-rockers, fit perfectly with a chamber or a symphonic orchestra!
Perhaps the most underrated band of all time
more....!!!! we want MORE!!!!!!... Fuck yeah it's good.
Fantastic arrangment. You deserve a standing ovation.
I believe they have truly captured.the spirit of Gentle Giant.
Bellisima !
Great interpretation. Emphasize the diversity of the GG music
Grande musica, un piacere poter suonare questo splendido arrangiamento del maestro Daniele Faraotti, grazie
Bravo, je suis un grand fan de la musique de Gentle Giant et franchement excellent travail, très agréable .
Long after everyone has completely forgotten The Beatles, some strange bands will still do unearthly interpretations of Gentle Giant.

WOW - this should be heard by all GG fans. I love it.
This is fantastic!!!!!!!!!!
Excellent!
The flute, clarinet, basoon has it sounding, (at times) a bit Gryphon-esque. Love it!!
You're right, it's a GGG hybrid (Gentle Gryphon Giant ^^)
A brilliant interpretation of some fabulous GG songs.
Greetings to Italy..This is so cool played !
Beautifully reimagined
Favolosa :-)

Vielen Dank für diese schöne Interpretation.
Absolutely blown away! GG never ceases to fascinate me. Great arrangements, had a great time watching it. ❤
Wonderful - it would be great to have separate pieces played in extenso!
Excellent work - never thought the music of GG could be amenable to this treatment, and it still sounds fresh and original 40 years on.
Un très bel hommage aux Géants . 👍😎
¡Excelente!. La Suite del pensamiento altamente creativo de una de las bandas mas grandes de la historia....

Nice arrangement, excellent musicianship, and smoothe segues between the song!!

Super Koool !!! Lol : )
Дирижёра им не хватает.
great for doing it. But you need to be far more rhythmically precise, that's the essence of GG.
Nicely done but thats NOT Gentle Giant.
Nice, but it aint got swing...
would have been better without the drums

Not an easy undertaking. Do you play them well Jacques? Sounds like they eased up on the tempo.
