Does Wise make customers that have emigrated from one Wise supported country (eg USA) to another (eg Philippines) switch their account to the new location or can they remain a “USA” legacy customer with the USA rules?
Could u advise me, first time using wise on the Philippines, been adding and buying things, its great, but when i add up what I should have in peso, im 20000 peso short to what the currency really is. Not getting it, are these fees?? Thanks in advance
No you would avoid local fees, but make sure when you swipe your card, if you're asked, select to pay in the local currency, that way WISE will take care of any exchange rate and with their great rates. ^Jonny
Question: I am from the Philippines. Is it possible to apply for a physical card or is it only available for foreigners outside Philippines like US, CANADA & AUSTRALIA etc.?
How do you get around the expensive 4.715% deposit fee (VAT-in)? I've tried depositing with BPI, CIMB, and MAYA. With all three of these local banks I need to pay 4.715% to deposit.
My mother has gcash account in php currency in Philippines. I have a wise account. She'll be sending me monthly allowance. Is that posible. Mother's gcash to son's Wise account
Hey Arelene! I don't see why not, you would just enter your WISE account details. But I can't be 100% sure as I have never used Hyperwallet before. ^Jonny

How long does it usually take for a USD account to be approved? My CAD account was approved minutes after the creation of my account tho.
That may take a while, Revolut is switching to a new USD partner bank. You may have to wait 2-4 weeks for approval. ^Jonny

Yes absolutely, it’s a great travel card. Just load it up with PHP and when you spend you’ll get the mid-market rate and just pay a tiny fee. ^Jonny
