Thank you for this update. I have experienced a category, one and category two hurricane many years ago and I have never felt so scared in my life. I am Due to arrive to Aruba in 6 Days from now By myself 7/9. I have never been to Aruba, so i have no idea what io will do for a week! i do hope to do some shore fishing some, if there are any tackle shops in Oranjestad. Hoping the weather will be Nice.
I hope that the island and ppl stay safe and there are no problems. I love that island more than my own county. Also love the "happy stones" might try to do something like that for work bc it's not been great lately due to very poor decision making by upper management.

Sorry I don't have the official numbers to compare it to the 60's. It was dry for a couple of months though and we are approaching the time of year when you can get some rain.
I would run if I was there. Yes it is the calm befit the storm. I’m a U.S. NAVY veteran and was in an aircraft carrier in hurricane David in 1979. Cat 5. The end result is not pretty. 30 to 40 foot Swells. Yes I was in the hurricane. And I would do it again on a carrier. But not on an island. Sorry but you are dreaming.. blessings. I’m in the cost of Colombia now. And tomorrow I’ll be heading inland. To Medellin.

You can check at the Renaissance Market Place downtown. There is a shop there. Otherwise the Do It Center.

Aruba is a desert island, how much rain has been hitting it this year? In the 1960's we got rain in jan, and then rain was rare after that.
