- In this video I went to SM AURA in BGC, Manila to extend my tourist visa. I share the process of entry requirements for the Philippines, plus the prices of the 1, 2 and 6 month visa extensions. I also talk about the Alien Registration Card - ACR Card, Exit Clearance Certificate and New Visa Rules that may be implemented this year.
Low cost of living, diversity, culture, weather, food, scenery, long visas entice foreigners to live in the Philippines. Filipinos are welcome and warm people. Filipinos are often regarded as the most friendliest nation in Asia and nicest people in the world. English is widely spoken throughout the country. The Philippines is included in the top ten English speaking countries in the world. The majority of Filipinos are highly proficient in English, so it is very easy to strike up a conversation and make new friends, but so last century. When you're there you feel like you're stuck in an 80s/90s time warp with the old skool music blaring out and the outdated infrastructure.
The Philippines should be on everyone’s bucket list with its beautiful white sand beaches, fabulous idyllic islands, turquoise sea and stunning scenery. The Philippines is a traveller’s paradise and regularly included in top ten favorite places to visit in Asia and affordable, favorite world holiday destination.
Many foreigners/expats choose the Philippines as the best country to retire in Asia and live in paradise. The Philippines is one of the cheapest countries to live in the world with its low cost of living and all year sunshine. Retiring in the Philippines is affordable on a budget of around $520 pcm.

First useful and informative video I’ve seen on the subject. Thanks
As an airline employee, I have never had any problem showing an outward non-revenue booking as the onward ticket. If you have a friend who works for an international airline serving the Philippines, you could ask for a buddy pass booking to be made, then simply cancel it if necessary to suit your plans. It’s really an antiquated requirement, being that it can be satisfied with the onward ticket arrangement mentioned, or with a throwaway ticket on a low cost carrier to a third country, such as a sub-$100 ticket to Korea, Taiwan, etc. on Air Asia or Cebu Pac.
Done waiver online last December, no issue with online payment via (debit) card
Brother as I watched you talk I suddenly remember Tom Cruise you got a resembled look to him probably your eyes and that’s an informative vlog.
Thanks for your appreciation. I don't think Tom Cruise would like the resemblance reference thou.
@@BiggWorldCinema Well he can react positively or negatively on my comment but we both know that it shows obviously and for Him he is still one my favorite actor 🙂enjoy your stay there.

Merry Christmas to you too. Where you watching from?
I am currently in Bangkok, and I will be going to the Philippines, and hence the reason for the questions. Thank you @@BiggWorldCinema
Lol that was 5 mins walk from our flat ..yahooooooo 😮
This information is very helpful, I'm planning to go to the Philippines in July, thanks.
I haven't seen dot-matrics paper used in ages! 😆
Cebu Robinsons office is very corrupt. They insist that the 1000 express lane fee is absolutely mandatory even when you tell them you don’t mind waiting and that the 6 month extensions are permanently gone. Not to mention they are incredible slow, rude, and the place in general is unpleasant and dodgy.
The Lapu Lapu Mactan BI is faster and better.
The 3 day non-express time is standard right? Also how did your ACR calculation come out to 5800? The express lane fees are 1500 (1000 for the 2 month renewal and 500 for the ACR card express) so.. 8200 which is the price for they have posted on their price list with the express fees tacked on .. 8200-1500= 6700…
6 months is a lot cheaper per month. $49 / month. But you pay up front.
If you get the first extensions in Manila and then you are down in Cebu, is it cool to get your 180 there for less $ or must you get it in Manila for 13,000 pesos?
at this rate i can even stay in Germany, not much difference concerning i*iotic bureaucracy. and at around 03:00, were you standing near a air flow test area/wind tunnel for jet engines? :D
Thanks for the latest info. After you get your ACR card, if you leave the country and come back, do you get the 30-day free visa again ?
You're welcome! Yeah, as soon as youl leave the country - your tourist visa becomes void and you start again on re-entry. But the ACR card is valid for a year.
Immigration law, exciting stuff! I plan on arriving to Cebu in early July to mid Oct. Seems I'll need to make 2 extra visits to the immigration office. 30 + 30 + 60 = 120. Wow, about $150 in visa fees.
I paid $30 over here in the usa, i have a 59 visa stay.

Can foreigners enter by ferry from Indonesia or do they only need to fly from airports?
i will be travelling on 5th October 2023 from India to Philippines via Singapore Transit as i have a Singapore Multiple entry visa. I will reach Manila on 6th October , 2023 . I will be taking visa on arrival on the Manila Airport as i have a singapore visa . I will get a period of 14 days to stay in the Philippines . I can stay until 19th October with that visa . But my return flight is on 23rd October ,2023 so i need an extension of 4-5 days on my visa on arrival. Is it possible to extend the visa on arrival for 4-5 days . Indians get 14 days Visa on Arrival on a Multiple entry Singapore visa.

It is very true that when you go to different offices it seems like they operate by different rules.
This is and is not true.
I will use my marriage as an example. My wife is from Butuan, when we tried to get married there we ran into a problem. They expected us to do all of our steps one at a time. You could not progress to the second step until you finished the first. So getting married would have taken almost 3 months. So we went to Surigao. They allowed us to do all the steps at once, we just could not get married until they were all done. Same rules, interpreted differently.
Hi. Is it a church wedding or civil wedding?
I was successful completing the online visa waiver extension with a USA-issued debit card recently (November 2023). The extension documents were emailed to me first thing the next morning.
What does this do for you and how do you do it? Can’t find a proper site. I’m assuming this is getting an extension before you even arrive?
@@dustnspaceyou still need an onward ticket within the first 30 days for the airline to check you in, even if you plan to extend. Doesn't make sense but this is the Philippines. As discussed elsewhere in the comments, this is the rule the airline needs to follow to board you. Not yet possible to get out of it by extending before departure. Don't think the extension would work unless you've already arrived.
Hello mate...so my visa waiver runs out on 27th jan..an my return flight to uk is 3rd feb....so do i have to now go imagration to get a acr card an pay for a estention for 2 months...or can i get visa waiver for 7days online...nightmer this.
Go to an Immigration office. A month is the minimum visa, even thou you'll only need a week.
It’s didn’t save 1000 peso as you need to pay taxi or other form of transport so I’m find it’s worth the extra 1000 peso to get it done on the day
Yeah it makes sense :)
Yes absolutely, not worth spending a second afternoon to have to deal with it plus the taxi/grab fees as u mention
so if I am understanding this right, you get 30 days free, then 29 day extension for $40 (without express), then 2 month first extension ($95), then 2 month second extension ($57), then 6 month extension ($151 without express). So that's around $350 or so for the full year. Does that seem right? After that it's 6 month intervals?
That's about right. Apart from the fact that many offices in the Phils don't like giving 6 month extensions as they make more money giving only 2. On a 3 year stay you're officially only allowed two 6 month extensions, unless yr married to a filipina. It's at the discretion of each office unfortunately. Different opinions are posted regularly on many expat FB groups.
So after extending to the extra 29 days how do you extend again? And for how long? all i want is the acr card to open a bank for retiring there
I just been to Immigration this week. After extending to the extra 29 days, I just extended for a further 2 months. Didn't do express service, so will pick up in 3 days. Price of 2 months extn including new ACR card is 5850 pesos.
@@BiggWorldCinema i heard in another channel that there is also an option for extending 6 months, but i might remember wrong
@@BiggWorldCinema Hi. Do you request for how long you want to stay? Or they are the ones to give it to you?
I was wondering if its different for those who's planning to get married in the philippines with a foreign spouse. Hope you notice :)
@@cryptogaming9935 really? Like the applicant can request for it if they wished to stay longer?
Wouldn't immigration be wise to the dummy ticket?
Well, it's actually a legit "dummy ticket" as if they checked your name will be in the system assigned to a real flight. You do have the option of actually purchasing the legit "dummy ticket" which makes it not dummy.
@@BiggWorldCinema Who sells the dummy ticket, the airline or? Sorry I missed that. Is it a necessary or common tactic used in order to obtain longer than 30 or 60 day visa?
My recent onward ticket was scrutinised and I was a little worried but it went through, no problems, so they do work.
where did u buy onward or dummy ticket?tnx
Is a onward ticket needed when extending for the first time?
Pick what up? They extend it while you're there. What are you talking about?
It helps if you listen to the narrative.

@@BiggWorldCinema Naff Off? LOL
Circumnavigating Philippine immigration law and then advertising on youtube is just asking for trouble.
As is slandering YT content. Who's circumnavigating Immigration laws?
@@BiggWorldCinema buy a dummy ticket and just say you're leaving within 30 days, when you clearly don't intend to.
LMFAO
@@Lucifer0007 A dummy ticket is not illigal you will be registered with the airline to fly. Saying your staying for only 30 days just avoids further questioning from some jobsworth and avoids giving them any excuse to refuse your entry. It's called using common sense. If you decide to stay longer than 29 days that is not illigal weather you told them you were leaving or not, It's legal to extend for up to 3 years. But if you tell them that from the jump it raises more questions that are avoidable at that time such as, how will you support yourself, what address will you be living at, who will you be staying with. All things you may not have figured out yet.
Senior Citizens benefits are only offered to Filipino or dual Filipino citizens and not foreign citizens.
I know that and didn't say otherwise. Maybe listen to what I said in the narrative.
