Thanks for the great video. I was worried about breaking off the tabs before I watched so this was very helpful showing how much force to use and where to pry.
Thanks! Our model S came this THIS key fob, even though it says Model S. So we had been looking at fobs that have a 2 piece structure on the back. Thank goodness we found this since the directions we got with the T were incorrect for the fob that we got. CHEERS!
Nice, well-done vid. Thank you. I would suggest using plastic gloves while handling the new cell. Don't know how critical, but bare hands contain corrosive oils, etc.
This didn't work on my car. The battery tests at 3V but the car doesn't see it at all anymore. Some forums are suggesting you need to do this change in range of the car so that the car detects it, others are suggesting connection problems with the three metal prongs inside, or even a broken connection that needs resoldering inside the fob itself. The key fob is a warranty item, so if it's malfunctioning like this, call your local shop!
Thank you, the car says to check the owners manual. The owners manual doesn't say shit on the subject. I guess your my owners manual for as long as I'm borrowing this very frustrating car.

I was doing it right, but was too afraid to press hard enough until I saw in the video that it was the right approach.
You definitely have to put a little force into it
Works like a charm, straight to the point, followed along - nice !
Thank you from a visual learner 🙌🏻😊
