I'm resident of Mumbai, Pune Airport is going to be built on my maternal village which is in Purandar... It's not surrounded by any Mountain or forest but still it's very isolated, remote, & pollution-free... Weather is cooler than Pune & Lonavla, coz situated on plateau... The largest town is at least 30-40 Kms away... It was not getting finalised because we don't wanted it. Govt. will take our land for cheap prices and remove us... So, many people from our and neighboring village were fighting against it... Villagers voted for Congress, even though we support Modi...
Bhai my whole land is also going in the airport and I had a neutral opinion earlier of the airport decision since it's not a highway or expressway many villages are under part of the land acquisition process i couldn't say on their behalf as we have given our land for agriculture on a yearly basis and all of our family member stay in main Pune City. We just visit 1-2 twice a month if needed. So I couldn't decide that should I support it or oppose it. But I know that we would get fair prices for the land maybe chances are more than the current value becz of the need of an new airport.
