Thank you for being willing to share your journey. My good friend from way back in middle school has HIV. Today she is living a fantastic life but it was a difficult road. There are great advances with medication and support, that really helps alot. I wish we had this information back when she was first diagnosed. It would have given me the understanding I needed to be of more help.Your advice is spot on, the greatest help for her was, to talk to other people living with the disease. It wasn't the end of her life, that was over a decade ago. Your story has given conformation, clarity and new insight on what we did right. I applaud your bravery and confidence. Sharing your positive story will help so many people learn to live.

I'm not personally familiar with HIV, but boy am I familiar with the depression, the "pit of despair". You're incredibly brave to share your story and help others with their diagnosis! I have RA, an incurable autoimmune disease. Joining a support group was the best thing I did. I learned from others before me, and help others just being diagnosed.
