- Chill and casual, catching view of the nice sights, while shredding the bad guys with a doobie in my mouth.
Been a while since played NG stuff, but I've aced all of them on the highest difficulties and more times. A bit rusty here and there, but the flow gets going throughout my playthrough. And I did ace it without retries and healing items.
Challenge run description:
The combat style utilized here is the Git Gud i.e. True Ninja style, which requires stylish play without spamming. I don't utilize charging UTs with Yellow essence(But sometimes that can happen by accident due to the inherent mechanics of the video game with how essence can get absorbed as you try to do a hold T,release T move). Blue or Red essence is okay, since it does give health/ninpo. Ninpo works with ninpo slots, but UTs can be spammed in exploitable cycles and that's simply a broken mechanic with NG games. Ironically UTs are as strong as Ninpos yet so easily spammable. Other moves can technically be spammed brokenly too and that's just the equivalent to cheesing Elden Ring or Dark Souls basically.
So ultimately, keeping it stylish, creative, dynamic and without playing cheap. Ninja Gaiden is an art, so the picture painted with the playstyle is the real impact.
The combat style stuff described is the primary pillar of this challenge run. Furthermore, the run is fully organic and improvised and presented as is. Additional bonus challenges are sometimes done for certain chapters, such as not using healing items. But I will upload them however they go ^-^...
Secret locations and crystal skull spots shown.
NG2/S2 is my least played one admittedly, mostly like NGS. Got the Platinum for it on PS3 though.
I've only played NGB and NG2 on the base difficulties 1 playthrough per each.
NGS, NGS2, NG3, NG3RE on PS3 and Master Collection.
This new remake/remaster does give some newfound excitement for the second entry for me!
While I never disliked NGS2 per say, and admittedly haven't played the OG NG2 that much, I would always consider it third ranked in the trilogy basically.
