I found that the Moonthlies notch is really helpful with nails. With most of the others, long nails make them more tricky to remove. However, the groove is slim enough that your nail can slip under and gently slide it out.
Exactly why I’ve been looking into discs with loops or strings. With long nails breaking the suction of cups is difficult and hooking under is just not an option 😞
I'm so glad Lumma small exists! It's such a perfect fit for me and the "string" is so convenient. Thank you for introducing me to discs! Cups gave me such terrible cervix cramps.
@@Snowball0300 I’m new to discs (only used it for one cycle so far) and no I haven’t had them leak on me. I have the Saalt small and I really like it 😊
I just tried the flex disk and it is amazing !!! I struggled with cups for years thinking it was me - trouble inserting and suctioning and leaking and this is so much easier to insert and no suction needed!
I love this! I first tried a disc about 4 years ago. I initially was using a small memstrual cup and I loved it. The disposable and reusable disc I tried I could not get to actually fit so I gave up trying to make them fit. Then I had an IUD placed a year and a half ago and have stopped menstruating. Now that there are so many different sizes I will happily try a smaller disc in the future as things change!!
Hey Nirvana team! I’d love it if you could do a video about the EcoBlossom disc, I got it from Amazon for only $11, and it has so many similarities to the Hello Disc! A comparison of them would be great too! You are amazing & I WISH I had had your videos when I first started my period journey 26 years ago!! Wish you all the best!
Did you like it? I haven't tried discs or cups and can't decide which style and brand to buy. I worry I'll spend a bunch of money on ones that don't work for me.
@naomisainval9824 Thnx for the info! I still never got around to trying any disc or cup 😂😂 I bought a few different brands and styles including the Cora cup and some other disc brands but just never gave any a try 😂😂🤦🏽♀️😭😭
Here’s my story for anyone interested. I’m 16 and I have a very low cervix. I’ve tried 2 cups, the saalt small (soft) first which I could never get to open and get in fully without pain so I got a smaller cup, the all matters mini. At first it was pretty good although I was very aware/could feel it, but I really wanted it to work so I kept trying for about 5 months and this month I decided I was done with it because of how much pain, I think the pain was from the cup pressing up against my cervix but I don’t know how to fix it because the cups had no where else to go because of my low cervix. I’m thinking about trying a disc but what do y’all think? Any advice?
Get the smaller size. I have to have a pediatric speculum and even then it’s tight. But the last small disc she pointed to is the best fitting disc/cup I ever had. They also make a small stiff cut that you can push in and it will remain open
Do you guys not get clots or a super heavy flow? I go through 5-7 ultra tampons on my first day and the clots are huge. Y’all are blessed if this works for you 😢
I tried NIXIT and it kept popping out ( one side would pop out) what does this mean, and I'm wondering if this means I need a smaller disk? If so which one?
I can’t tolerate anything in my vagina without severe pain because I got a potato of a vagina. Disks are different. I am amazed, I can go fishing for them without pain lol. Only downside is pushing to get them out hurts a lot. However I think it’s not too bad.
I'm over 30 and I've had 3 babies and I have been using a menstrual cup for several years but I'm interested in trying a disc. I am concerned about fit and leaks. Which one would you recommend? Thanks.
My flow could never, I have the heaviest flow in the world. I go through 5 tampons with 5 pads a day and they are super, this looks quite difficult to insert than a tampon
I need to get a few of these and try them out I've never have because I'm a little you know weirded out on foreign objects being inside me that's why I don't use tampons
I’m tired of purchasing pads every few months and I was thinking about getting a disc, I tried tampons in the past and I didn’t have a problem with them but I feel uncomfortable using them for health reasons. What disc is easiest to use for a beginner or someone who’s not really experienced with period cups/discs? Please help
I started my reusable hygiene prducts with a cup, got small and large size included in the brand I bought (dont remember what brand it was), it was helpful testing both out. Having NO kids or sex, Initially, I started with the small. The small was a bit painful to insert however my skill set was not the best, pinching and making it as small as possible to insert was what helped. Moreover, due to a heavy flow, when I was ready I proceeded to use the large size included to hold more. So far so good and they have been such money and period savers! Now, I'm looking to buy a disc. Soo here I go on another adventure! All the best! Hope you find the best cup/disc for yourself. 🎉
@@arise1668 I wish you all the luck! Let me know how it goes, I’ve heard some people prefer the discs over the cups and vice versa. Your comment really helped and gave a bit more insight on which ones to try first! I didn’t even think about getting different sizes. You’re a life saver❤️
I have the saalt small disc and I think it’s pretty easy, but I also used to be a cup user before. I think discs are easier to use than cups, and I prefer the disc overall. I also MUCH prefer them over pads so consider trying one :) After using cups/discs, I now hate the sweaty feeling of a pad down there.

Me too! As a 5'2" petite woman, I was not a fan of her hello product. It is HUGE. I have found LUMMA small to be the most comfortable for me.
Same with me, the cups and their suctioning hurt so bad
Do discs leak at night???
omg same, the cup gave me the worst pain and it never really went away until i stopped using it. disc on the other hand, 😍

@@Snowball0300 Nope, I'm so lucky tbh. But that's just my experience.
@@leahk1461 ok thanks
I have unbelievably heavy bleeding recently, could you possibly recommend a disc with the absolute largest capacity?

I hate the fornix 😫 MAJOR TMI but i just spent 5 minutes trying to get it in and it kept flipping sideways once it was in, i gave up 😂
Amo el disco ziggy de intimina 😍
I'd like to know the name of the product that has a larger rim size than the flexdisc!
Flex disposable is a great substitute for pads and tampons

Are there any other brands that are disposable besides soft disc and flex?
Is there a disc Not Made of silicone? I developed an allergy to my nixit. I cannot find one Made of another Material:(
unfortunately there are no reusable discs not made of silicone, however there are plastic disposable discs as an option.

I really want to try a disk, but I can't seem to put it in correctly :(
Insert towards the back and then move it up to tuck behind pelvic bone
Try it w/ the bowl facing away from you
Is formoon the Taiwan brand?
