For me, whenever I put in a cup I find it easier to insert it while standing. And don’t forget that when you are trying to take it out you DON’T just pull the tail! You have to make sure to grip on to the base of the cup and pinch it together to break the suction seal the cup creates inside, it help to squat for this. If you just pull it will not work and you can injure yourself, if you use an IUD for birth control it can cause it to be torn out with the suction. I personally 100% love and prefer a cup compared to pads and tampons. It is extremely comfortable, granted you feel nothing at all. You can wear it pretty much all day with no worries depending on your flow, unlike with pads there is no mess or smell, I don’t have to carry extra stuff around or worry about hiding trash and odor. And in the long run it is way cheaper.
I love how they can be so open about these things because for example little kids might not want to ask parents if they can try different products or ask about different products so by Brooklyn and bailey being open about this is great!
I like how they don't always do videos together, like they don't always have to you know. Other person can be somewhere or be busy at the time of making content for their videos. This only goes out to prove how much they have evolved over the years and I personally find it so cool.
Flex (the company that makes the disposable disc that you loved) also makes a reusable menstrual cup that you can remove with a pull tab like a tampon! It has changed the game for me because it’s so much easier and less messy to remove than other cups I’ve tried. Plus, it’s reusable so bonus points for that!

You honestly can’t feel tampons if you put them in right. The chemicals are definitely not the best but they won’t change your cramps at all or anything. I’m not sure what was happening to Bailey lol but that doesn’t happen to most people. It was probably a bad shape for her body but she has other tampons that work for her. You can definitely find a brand that works for you and then it’s super easy. I was really scared to try using tampons at first but now I’m fine with it (no extra cramps or anything) and I actually started using a menstrual cup recently. If you want to try that, you can find an organic one that actually reduces cramps so that could be a good thing to try if you want an alternative to pads that doesn’t hurt and doesn’t have chemicals. I wish Brooklyn would do a video like this (even with the same products) just to compare the experiences of two people ❤️ like this comment if you agree
So I started my period a few days ago and it was my first period so I’ve been binging Brooklyn and Bailey’s period videos and they are making me feel so much better because I have huge cramps and sometimes back pain and I admit that I am pretty moody and literally the only thing I want to eat is noodles. Just some warm noodles with some dumplings and like I’m only 11 so these videos are rly helping and I couldn’t have been more appreciative for them.
You should look into getting a microwaveable heating pad! I use them at night all night while I sleep, and it helps me to actually get a good nights sleep during the time of the month!
i got my period when i was 11 as well (still 11 lol) but if you can’t get a heating pad use hot hands they take less time to get and are cheaper for a bulk pack but if you are active (sports etc) or if you just want something i love the knixteen period underwear lol
My periods go from the 23 or 25 to either the 30th 31st or the 1st 3rd of the next month which means it begins on my birthday when November comes, and honestly I just wanted 2-minute noodles and 7eleven donuts. Ended up getting a decorated donut tower and Chinese noodles, it was a great birthday despite being on my period and finding out I had anxiety. I started my period when I was 10,
I think periods should be more normalized, there was a girl in my class and she was putting her sweatshirt on, a tampon fell out of the pocket and she didnt notice, when I picked it up and handed it to her she looked horrified. It was honestly kind of sad that she had that reaction to me handing her a tampon.
It's just so good that bailey is not being embarrassed or anything though they are uploading it on the internet!❤️ Just love them so much❤️ and they r the best advisors n big sisters ❤️ Thank you Brooklyn n bailey ❤️
The best part of Brooklyn and Bailey is that they actually care🥰❤️hope you and your family are doing ok ~have a good rest your your day everyone reading this😋
I have period panties already and I LOVE them. I have 2 different kinds one is more thick the other one is more thin but I 100% prefer pads over tampons so if you prefer pads I would 10000000% recommend!
I love my hello disc. It auto dumps for me and is very easy to remove mess free so no blood on my fingers. Auto dumping is a great feature for people with heavy periods. It only happens when you’re using the toilet. Hello disc is reusable and easy to clean.
@Brooklyn What’s weird is that people are saying periods are so bad when mine aren’t, I get that all periods are different but I’ve never had bad cramps
@@happy3971 Yeah, I take birth control because I just did not want to deal with my period every month so now I get It every three months so only 4 periods a year.
I switched to a reusable cup pretty early into high school and haven't looked back since!! It saved me so much money all through college and many trips to the store!
Thank you for doing this because I could start my period any day now so it really feels nice watching this you feel like my older sisters and I love you(:
for any of you who might be scared, i started my first period this summer and the first thing i tried is a diva cup and i’m in love. you can usually use them for up to 3 years so they’re very environmentally friendly! i also pair them with the kinxteen panties on heavy days and they’re so great!
@@Eva-kd2bp i have to be honest like i really expected to be scared of the things that yk go inside you, but idk how i just did it once with a tampon and yeah it hurt but 1. i wasn’t on my period so it was dry so try putting water in the applicator and 2. make sure you’re putting it in right because yeah i didn’t and it hurt so...
There is a reusable version of the flex cup! I know one is called 'Nixit,' but there are probably more brands ouy there. I havent used it myself but heard great things about it Like so she can see! ✨
Yes! Although I will say having tried both the reusable discs aren't as comfortable because the plastic ring is thicker and less flexible. But it's a good option if you want to be less wasteful😊
The cups for me are reeeeeaaaaal easy and not messy at all to get out. I would never wear the underwear as a pad, but is is a nice addition for when you are wearing a cup, just in case it’s not in 100% correctly and there is a small leak. The combination of both is heavenly. (Though I do struggle a lot putting it in correctly and a lot of times am just to lazy to use them).
Yo this is actually the coolest thing! I love how Bailey was actually showing how bad cramps can be! Ah love you hun! Also when you put the cup in I hear you should twist it once it's inside.
Tips with the cup: When I put it in I kinda twist it around which helps ensure the seal is right. Taking it out I try not to pull the stem, if you pinch the bottom of the cup and SLOWLY wiggle it out usually not a mess. If it's being stubborn I kinda pulse when I sqeezing.
I definitely recommend menstrual cups! I also use saalt and there DEFINITELY is a learning curve but once you get it down its life-changing! Also a PSA is that when you're first learning there will be a little pressure bc it is a different shape than a tampon and it personally took me about 3 cycles to get totally confident in using it :) I 100% would suggest them!
I really like the flex cup. I use it at night instead of pads ( I hate pads for several reasons ) and use tampons during the day. The flex cup has a pull string that threads through the bottom and when you pull the seal breaks so it’s super comfy to remove!! I highly suggest this one !!
When I started using organic tampons I never had to use pain medicine during periods again! I swear by them! I use Lola - maybe give it another longer try?!
Try different folds to get the cup in. The half diamond fold makes it super easy to get it in and get it to suction. Practice really makes all the difference for putting it in and taking it out.
I finally bought my first cup last week (I’ve had my period for 19 years and have only used pads) and I’m so excited to try it! I’ve read and heard so many tips on proper and comfortable use
@@aashkajadia2195 uhhhh well when you wear a tampon you don’t feel anything, it’s all... dry... I guess😂 but with a pad/ those period panties you can feel IT Don’t know if that made any sense lol
@@bonnieflavin8173 I would say Cora would be better in terms of how many products they offer. They have a wide variety of period self care, however, Lola is slightly cheaper and easier to come by. I have tried both brands' tampons and pads. I would say they work the same. Cora pads are much more comfortable and have better coverage. So I would say, if you have money to spare, try both, and see which works better for you. If you just want some good pads and tampons, go for Lola tampons and Cora pads. Although, idk if Cora is sold in stores. Did that help with your question? Btw, Cora has period panties too.

I wish Brooklyn would do a video like this (even with the same products) just to compare the experiences of two people ❤️ like this comment if you agree
OH MY GOSH DO IT
Me while Bailey was in the bathroom hunched over with cramps: oh man girl I feel u :(((
So I started my period a few days ago and it was my first period so I’ve been binging Brooklyn and Bailey’s period videos and they are making me feel so much better because I have huge cramps and sometimes back pain and I admit that I am pretty moody and literally the only thing I want to eat is noodles.
My friend gets back cramps. She takes advil and that helps. If you need any advice, im let me know!
well good luck girly and i recommend heating pads or even those warm water bottles for those cramps :)
i got my period when i was 11 as well (still 11 lol) but if you can’t get a heating pad use hot hands they take less time to get and are cheaper for a bulk pack but if you are active (sports etc) or if you just want something i love the knixteen period underwear lol
I started my period when I was 10,
Can we just recognize how nice her outfits are!!
i’ve never tried anything other than pads and this motivates me to try other period products
Exactly. Especially since I'm active pretty often.
Same
Highlyyyyy recommended girlyyy
I’m obsessed with her hair
Awe thanks babe!!! 💋's - Bailey
I love how open and comfortable Bailey is about this, it makes me feel so much better lol
“Only uses pads bc I’m scared to use anything else” gang where are y’all at?
Why is it less akward watching this then talking to my actual siblings 😂
IKR
all of my siblings are dudes so it's easier for me too
IKR AND I HAVE AN OLDER SISTER
The dedication for this video...Bailey literally filmed herself while inserting a tampon...wow!
Yeah like I won’t put on/in a product unless there’s no one who even might HEAR let alone SEE me!
I really appreciate that she talks about this openly. I’m new to that world so this helps a lot! Thx Bailey.
I think periods should be more normalized, there was a girl in my class and she was putting her sweatshirt on, a tampon fell out of the pocket and she didnt notice, when I picked it up and handed it to her she looked horrified. It was honestly kind of sad that she had that reaction to me handing her a tampon.
@@sophiekruse6504 Right?! thank you for sharing. It needs to be normalised and not something we are ashamed of
It’s honestly sad that the things women/girls need is so expensive, like unless people want blood everywhere, they need to lower the prices
It should be free because we didn't ask to bleed out of there
Yes girl so true

you too! 💗💗💗
I have period panties already and I LOVE them. I have 2 different kinds one is more thick the other one is more thin but I 100% prefer pads over tampons so if you prefer pads I would 10000000% recommend!
I pray anyone that sees this is successful in life

Love how you are so real and honest and transparent about the whole thing. At every step. Ty for the confidence.
I love my hello disc. It auto dumps for me and is very easy to remove mess free so no blood on my fingers. Auto dumping is a great feature for people with heavy periods. It only happens when you’re using the toilet. Hello disc is reusable and easy to clean.
i love when brooklyn and bailey do girl stuff! it makes me feel like i’m just talking to my friends!

@Brooklyn What’s weird is that people are saying periods are so bad when mine aren’t, I get that all periods are different but I’ve never had bad cramps
@@yippiekaiyay676 I used to not get cramps, but now I always get my period a month and 2 weeks apart and get severe cramps.
@@happy3971 Yeah, I take birth control because I just did not want to deal with my period every month so now I get It every three months so only 4 periods a year.
Cramps litteraly feel like getting stabbed, it feels like someone took a knife and started opening your stomach and started stabbing you 178 times.
@@h41528 curios question how do you know what getting stabbed feels like
I personally use a cup and period underwear together.. the cup takes a little bit to get used to but I love it! And it’s much cheaper in the long run
I switched to a reusable cup pretty early into high school and haven't looked back since!! It saved me so much money all through college and many trips to the store!
I love that you're talking about periods in a very casual way :) It's a very natural thing and we should be more comfortable talking about it
Thank you for doing this because I could start my period any day now so it really feels nice watching this you feel like my older sisters and I love you(:
Same

Have you started it yet? Just because it’s been 2 months lol
Ok but Bailey's sweatpants when trying the Saalt cup? AMAZING! ADORABLE! I NEED!
for any of you who might be scared, i started my first period this summer and the first thing i tried is a diva cup and i’m in love. you can usually use them for up to 3 years so they’re very environmentally friendly! i also pair them with the kinxteen panties on heavy days and they’re so great!
@Manika then what do you do for the flow?
There is a reusable version of the flex cup! I know one is called 'Nixit,' but there are probably more brands ouy there. I havent used it myself but heard great things about it
Like so she can see! ✨
Yes! I was going to suggest the nixit! there is also lumma ones too I think and they have different sizes!
I was going to comment this too.
Yes! Although I will say having tried both the reusable discs aren't as comfortable because the plastic ring is thicker and less flexible. But it's a good option if you want to be less wasteful😊
uhhh i def have used flex discs and rinsed them out... but ive had no issues
@@emmas5427 You shouldn't do that past 12hrs though because they don't know the effects of the plastic after 12hrs
Now this.. this I can’t wait to watch :)
Omg they hearted my comment
@@princessloam3403 lol congrats
I've been waiting for another "Girl Talk" video! And it was definitely worth the wait, love you girls
They actually make reusable discs now. I know one brand is called ziggy so if you want a reusable disc you should definitely try that!
Yo this is actually the coolest thing! I love how Bailey was actually showing how bad cramps can be! Ah love you hun! Also when you put the cup in I hear you should twist it once it's inside.
Brooklyn and Bailey are so inspirational, they are literally the ideal big sisters
not me starting my period today-
stood up after class and BAM. there she was.
yep yep relatable
Mine is supposed to come any day 😣
Bailey is brave for doing a jumping jack on her period because if that was me I would explode! 😂But anyways Great Video! 👍🏻
And squats as well!!😂😂😂😂
Ahhahaha ye
I’m so happy you guys are so confident to talk about periods and stuff like that I’m so happy for u guys
Brooklyn and Bailey have made a period expert and have made me confident and realize that it is OK to have a period thank you Queens❤ LOVE YOU❤❤❤❤❤
You can get reusable menstrual discs! They can be pricey but it's a one-time payment and they're made from the same material as cups!! ❤️
omg this is going to be SOOOO helpful!!! Thank yall!!
Yay!!!!! So glad we could help! 💋's - Bailey
i love how honest and open brooklyn and bailey are about these things, they need to be spoken about more :))
Tips with the cup:
When I put it in I kinda twist it around which helps ensure the seal is right.
I love videos like these. I wish they were around when I was younger, they would have helped me so much
I really like the flex cup.
Brooklyn needs to do this so we can see their different experiences with them 😁
We stan a person that makes us comfortableee

I recommend the Lola tampons, 100% organic and they have pads and liners too. Most likely at Walmart.
Yes, those are my favorite tampons.
I’ve seen Lola and Cora very similar..? What’s better?
@@bonnieflavin8173 I would say Cora would be better in terms of how many products they offer. They have a wide variety of period self care, however, Lola is slightly cheaper and easier to come by. I have tried both brands' tampons and pads. I would say they work the same. Cora pads are much more comfortable and have better coverage. So I would say, if you have money to spare, try both, and see which works better for you. If you just want some good pads and tampons, go for Lola tampons and Cora pads. Although, idk if Cora is sold in stores. Did that help with your question? Btw, Cora has period panties too.
My favorite brand
Thank you so much for doing this! I cannot express my gratitude, thank you for normalizing this and the confusion that comes with this sometimes!
