Ebikes thru Cades Cove

We decided to rent electric bikes (ebikes) from Scotty Bike in Townsend, TN to ride through Cades Cove. It was an awesome experience. We went on Wednesday while the loop is closed to car traffic all day (May-September only). The ebikes are a little pricey, but made the experience much more enjoyable with little physical effort required. The staff at Scotty Bike was wonderful. They were extremely nice, knowledgeable, and helpful. The bikes are heavy (56 lbs. each). I would recommend renting a special bike rack from them. It costs a little more, but keeps you from having to lift them in the back of a truck. Make sure to check out their rates and pricing packages at their website listed below. Yes, we really liked the electric bikes. They are a little pricey, but made the trip around the loop very enjoyable.

Thanks Pierce! That was the first time we had ridden electric bikes. They are a bit expensive to rent, but made the loop extremely easy. Going through Cades Cove on Wednesdays while it is still closed to car traffic is the best experience. I think they open it back up to vehicles on Wednesdays at the end of September.
