I know a lot of scratch builders fear the backlash of using 3D printers, but I think you are the best example of how you can use them while still maintaining the entertainment value of scratch building.
Thank you for sharing your art and experience with us. I hope the community responds with enthusiasm and helps you get the camera you need.

That fist crate would be easy to actually cut the lid and add a small jewelry box type hinge for storing bits. The reinforced box could be handy for making battery storage.

    Here's an awesome tip.
Get a set of cheap 1-2-3 blocks and some magnets and you've a great way to align parts square.

The only suggestion to take it to the next level would be to add text, labels, icons and other graphics to it.

Amazing if feels like an armor or science lab inventory box, I don’t mind what’s on the inside but it looks that it’s something important. The filleted corners building technic could have uncountable uses maybe on another boxes, vehicles and even robots, the only thing you need to consider it’s that 3d printing shrinks measurements around 0.2mm, to have an exact joint but also could be interesting have an oversized difference over the piece and the flat material remains buried down, it could be an interesting thing to play with.

Great build. I like the handmade parts and built stuff myself, but can appreciate the allure of just printing out parts. To me, I just think at a certain point, with something that's more 3D printed than anything else, it becomes model building not scratch/kit/trash bashing/building.

People can even take this one step further and build something that can serve as a diorama background.
For example, if you're building Gundam models, make this some entry hatch in the hull of a space colony that the machine just passed through.

If your going to do more 3d printed parts try ABS instead of PLA. ABS is a lot easier to sand, Downside is you need a hot end that will get to a higher temperature. To get rid of layer lines try using a mixture of UV cured resin and baking soda. Cure the resin and sand.
