It’s simple they pushed Henry Cavill away and that made us fans feel nothing but resentment to these show runners
Also, they cut out so much of the books that we were left with crumbs and very little context to work with. The people behind the show literally stated that they never read the books, they just skimmed through and selected what they thought would be cool/could be easily changed to meet their agendas. Everything else (especially stuff vital to the plot and character growth) was abandoned. You don't give fans 20-30% of their favorite story, you give them the whole story or nothing at all.
The actress who plays Yennifer (Anya Chalotra) does a good job of portraying the sorceress in my opinion, but when the show runner and casting director openly admitted to using racial and identity politics in her casting, I couldn’t help but wonder if Anya got the job more because of her ethnic background (I believe she’s half Indian half white) than her acting skills
If you love fantasy, watch The Shannara Chronicles, Into the Badlands, and Shadow & Bone. All amazing shows.

if i have a need to watch something and i have no option I go back to the good old underworld series. Always enjoy that series no matter how many times I watch it.
Bruh I watched that again on amazon prime like a year ago and I went back last week and now you have to pay extra, over and above just a prime sub, to see it.
The producers really thought the draw to the witcher show was them amd their work. Lol delusional.
I heard they lost between 50% to 70% of their audience since s1 and they will lose more now that henry won't be in the next season.
I gave up on this show after the second episode because it was abundantly clear from the get-go that they had no intentions of following the books whatsoever.
Ciri was great. Yennefer was actually pretty great in my mind. Triss was wrong. Fringilla was done dirty in look and in being turned into a psycho.
On your comments with Henry. He didn't have that sort of clout when he signed up to force any sort of creative control. He just really, really wanted to be Geralt.

They had a main actor that not only looks like gerald and fits the role perfectly, but aswell is a fekkin nerd and fan of the source material. Yet they effed it up. If only they had given henry more creative control (or any other Witcher nerd for that matter) the show would last at least 10 seasons. I really hope some studio approaches henry and offers to restart and giving him directive choices. Write some story boards, show henry and if he approves..good to go. If it fails, you can blame him..but im very sure a thumbs up/down from him would be a step in the right direction.
I just played the witcher 3 this year twice so I never started this show I thought about it but now I’m good 🙂

im sad about that in the whole series (i lasted 2 seasons but still) Witcher as a main source and its like magic all that comes from central/eastern european mythology and cultrure with some small detailes taken from north but ive never felt that it has anything in common with for example slavic mythology except some few monsters and name tht is here only to bring eyes because as we all know and was said in the video Geralt is a secondary or even third-plan character which is sad like WHY

tbf Geralt in books is not the main character. He's barely in them and when he is he's either doing nothing, fucking someone, traveling somewhere or complaining about everything.

Oh my, no. It's awful. It's like a CW teen lgtb drama about girl power with lots of pointless race and gender swapping. For example, they they turn Dandelion into Radovid's gay lover. I am not joking either. They literally do this. They also have Yennefer try to kill Ciri in order to regain the ability to get pregnant. Again, not joking. And that's just two examples. The entire show is an abhorrent mess

If you love Star Wars and political intrigue, treason, spies etc you'll LOVE Andor! I feel most Star Wars "fans" didnt even gave it a chance because they knew there werent any lightsabers and force powers and that's a shame.
I don't think "fans" know what they want. They watch the hokey Star Wars stuff and get mad that it's for kids. Something like Andor comes out that's a drama mostly for adults and they are bored. I just chalk it up to fandom hate what they are a fans of.
The game is a lot better and they need to stop making movies from games.

I admit to never playing the game. But I am enjoying the show. Is it the people who know the game so well who are disliking the show? Or am I alone in liking it?
The implicit understanding from the outset was that Henry Cavil would only be interested in being involved if they remained faithful to the source material. They kept making creative choices that went against that.
You forgot Wheel of Time, though I can understand why... as it is, it's entirely possible they're just going to scrap it due to teh writer's strike, they've got an excuse to clean house & I doubt they'll waste it. There's plenty of other content on the horizon for them to bet on (eg the live action Avatar the Last Air Bender.
Overall, I've given up & will just stick to reading when it comes to fantasy & sci-fi for the foreseeable future.
Most wish they could forget the Wheel of Time.
Guess I'll just read the books for that one, too.
I Ended up quitting the Witcher show after s1 and go right to the books.

Andor is really cool a bit slow but way more mature than other star wars content , i would also higly recommend Foundation , its an SF show based on the book "foundation" written by isaac asimov wich im sure you at least heard of him if you love sf stuff ;) plus its made by Apple so it got lot of budget so no low special effect .It as become one of my favorite show and i cant wait for season 2 wich will be out in few weeks !
I get picking up IP's with fanbases because it's much easier than building one. The issue comes in that fanbases knows what it wants and if the writes don't care about that, then it's worse than creating your own IP from scratch

Wait, you learned that from the smear campaign the writers and producers conducted after it was announced just before season 3 that he was leaving? He was passionate about the source material while the afforementioned woke brigade butchered it to where the series is an abyssal failure it is now.
