Funny... but sad at the time
For some reason, seeing the credits of cartoons always unnerved me slightly when I was younger.
Probably that you're pretty much all alone when you watch the credits as in no characters or anything just music and some text and maybe a few logo's looking at you at the end I mean they never really unnerved me that much except for like a couple logo that's scared me as a kid but I feel that like might be why.

For some reason, the logo of Nickelodeon and the credits somewhat gives me chills. I don't know why, but I would have dreams about it. It made no sense to me on why I was creeped out by this.

Yes, but that was from the pilot that aired on 1997. This was before the episodes aired television. Technically, it wouldn't be considered a United Plankton Pictures logo, but others do consider it to be one. It overall depends on the person.

Taylor's Everything Channel spingebob started in the 80s as a science comic book by Stephen called the Intertitled zone, then in 1997 they was going to make a show called “SpongeBoy Ahoy!” But Nickelodeon found out it was named after a mop. So, in 1999 they made up Spongebob Squarepants. Then history Began.

A lot of people seem to have been scared by that tune. I've been told that it's because the music doesn't have an easily identifiable mood. It's hard to tell if it's supposed to sound happy, sad, or any other mood.

Jeokishjewo nah, I remember the last time when I was in Nicaragua visiting my folks back in 2012, it did that also so you’re not alone on that. But I know in 2006 on my second visit, they usually aired the logo with the ocean & the seagulls in the background. Weird instrumentals from the ukulele at its best bro. 😆
@@ojsilva1975 it disapeared in 2016 in our place coz of the trendy look, so when episodes end its says at the bottom something like "Spongebob Squarepants 1999" then they dont play the end credits anymore, it just ends and goes straight to the commercials for example the in one episode about the magic conch shell, squidward says "all hail the magic conch" then he sits down. after that the end credits were supposed to play but instead the bottom part says the title, copyright 1999 then fades to black then 0.2 secs later, commercials already. Same goes for other shows. Seems like nick is trying to not credit the minor crew who were part of the show's creation. (but storywriters, producers, and etc. are at intro)
In the UK, nickelodeon here normally cuts off the entire credits so when the actual show ends, it goes straight to the United plankton logo, apart from rare times the credits actually played - the credits also used to play on the channel 5 airings.

what scared me the most as a kid is whenever they were to show the end creds on the dvds theyed extend the ukelele and it didnt end until like 6 minutes so it was just a 6 minute void of the same ukelele loop and the end creds

I believe we should label this as Old Nick, the Nickelodeon we kids from the 90's the '05 all year long. Coming home from school or even having family time with loved ones. The New Nick is a whole other level of strange. It'll be some time until I get that old feeling as a little kid having a Go-gurt, lunchable, and Caprisun on a hot summer afternoon...I hope my kids can get that feeling too.

it's from the '97 pilot
Their logo is a metal background with a crudely drawn Eggman holding hands with his cousins (as seen in “Eggman’s Army”) with the blue and yellow “United Eggman” text above, and the “Pictures” text below, both of which are written in the familiar “Sonic” font.
