Hello Ray, this show has generated a lot of interest which hopefully will increase the number of entries next year. Many thanks for watching! 😀 🌻Nigel…………MuddyBootz Allotment🌻🌻
Hello, Malvern occurs both in Spring and Autumn, a good day out whichever one you choose. Maybe you should consider showing some of your maize? 🤣 Many thanks for watching! 😀 🌻Nigel…………MuddyBootz Allotment🌻🌻
What a fun episode! Not many Americans appreciate the dedication that it takes to grow these “Monsters”! I thought you, Nigel, did a great job with the interviews. Nothing better than hearing someone talk about things they grow. There is always lots to learn, much to admire in their character.
Yet another great video Nigel, fantastic produce, great for us to get up close and personal with the growers, thanks for asking great questions. Have shared on the video.
Hello both, growing this type of veg you need plenty of room, unfortunately edibles come first with me but it is great to see what can be achieved 👍 🌻Nigel…………MuddyBootz Allotment🌻🌻
Hello Nigel. What an achievement these growers have produced, also sharing knowledge and tips. Again excellent filming and editing. I detect that you are now tempted to take part into growing something big. Take care, keep safe and keep smiling. Cheers. Pete.
Great to see the giant veg, Nigel. Nice to see Dean holding his baby too 🤩. We will make it up to Malvern one day. Rose reckons our rhubarb will do well.
Great video again Nigel so appreciate the time you’ve given to show us these giant vegetables, although I missed the show you’ve help me appreciate the effort of some amazing gardener’s and what they produce learning all the time 👍
Hi Terry, space is my main problem as I do not want to sacrifice the veg grown for eating. Will keep my eye open for a space bit of land 😀 🌻Nigel…………MuddyBootz Allotment🌻🌻
Thanks for showing us around. I grew two huge red cabbages this year but did not weigh them. They're in the pot now. Mind you, took a photo. Thank you once again, it was very interesting 🌱🌱
Hello mate. It's unbelievable at the size of the veg. You done a good job at showing everybody what these growers have produced. Do you think will see you showing on that bench next year. All the best Nic 👍
Hello Mike, unfortunately it is the last show but hopefully next year there will be a full programme of events to attend. Many thanks for watching! 😀 🌻Nigel…………MuddyBootz Allotment🌻🌻
Brilliant video Nigel! I love the interviewing. Check out the amazing taproots on the longest carrot/parsnip etc---how on earth do they get it out of the ground without breaking? Are they grown in giant barrels and letting it get root bound with the root just winding round and round and round?
Hello, most of the long veg are grown in 4 metre lengths of drain pipe or guttering which is split into two halves. This allows the soil to be gently washed off the roots causing minimal damage 😀 🌻Nigel…………MuddyBootz Allotment🌻🌻
Another excellent video and information about them. So much effort to get them so large. I always wonder…… are they edible when they get so large and what do they do with them after they have shown them. Such a professional video. Thank you for taking your time to put this together.
Hello Debra, most of the growers will use their plants to produce seed for the following year. I am not sure the taste would be similar to what we get off our allotments, but you have to admire the results they achieve. Many thanks for watching! 😀 🌻Nigel…………MuddyBootz Allotment🌻🌻
wow.....better roll my sleves up ...great time watching....thank you Damo @Vicky we have got some great tips of your channel...started in january...and have got the bug xxx
Thanks Nigel for the video, it seems that the usual suspects are doing all the winning so where is your entry i seem to remember a large Onion that you had grown once shown in your opening credits? Again thanks for the video i can't get to these places as i don't drive, so it's nice to see and hear from competitors and winners and seeing all these large Vegetables. Stay Safe, Barry (Wirral)
Hello Barry, growing space is my problem otherwise I would probably have a few entries. A great community amongst the growers who are willing to share their growing tips 👍😀 🌻Nigel…………MuddyBootz Allotment🌻🌻
