@Sushant S Nair I think the bezel is plastic so it's easier to grip on and turn it around. Also, it is for sure the best smartwatch for androids. It could be the best for iOS too, (I personally like the galaxy watch more than the apple watch).
I use the Fitbit Versa because I used to be an athlete. Battery can last 4 days but I usually charge it every 2 and a half days. No GPS so you'll have to bring your phone if you want super accurate distance, pace, and map data, but you don't have to bring it if you want fairly accurate distance and pace based on your stride length. The interface can be changed with a few different third party watch faces but I only found one that I REALLY liked that has four different colors. HR senor is really accurate, although steps can easily be triggered just by waving or something. Calories are displayed as well and that's helpful. You can download a very limited few apps. I only have two and that's a little circle game and an app that turns on the max brightness in pure white sort of like a flashlights that's very user friendly. In my opinion it's a really good watch, I just wished they tweaked the auto screen wake option a little and that the battery lasted lasted at least 5 days. Worst part was is not having a GPS lol.
When trying to decide on a smartwatch, I think the first question should be what kind of phone and other gear do you plan to use with it. While all the smartwatches have great features...without the ecosystem...are they really that beneficial? As a MacBook, iPhone, and iPad user...the Apple Watch is the only smartwatch I considered. Simply because of the ecosystem.
boko I partially agree but I’m still using Apple products despite the shitty battery life, disregard of customer needs with MacBooks (like sd card slot and more ports) also the Apple logo in the back is not lightening anymore and the innovations are really slow... (remember how much you had to wait for a water resistant iPhone ?) but windows made me run away from that and a Mac just works better.. so no real competition out there... Samsung has a very good marketing but I will not use Samsung. I hope one day Steve jobs will resurrect and make iPhone great again :D lol
The ecosystem itself is a product for your day to day life. The power users are a very small niche group that no company can become huge servicing. Apple has their line of professional products that make up some small percent of their overall business and then they make the bulk of their money with lifestyle products for an audience that is 200 times larger than the pros. This isn't anything remotely new for the company. Their biggest growth has been in the consumer market. That is why the company is 200 times larger today than it was 20 years ago. Its why Chevrolet makes way more money from their everyday cars and trucks vs their high end corvette.
My all time favorite is the Pebble. Apple and Android, 7 days battery life, weather, speech to text, and cheap. It still works like a dream after the company shut down thanks to a team of ex-devs that made their own servers and picked up where pebble left off.
A Snake being able to play music on my iPhone and listen on my AirPods while adjusting the volume on my Apple Watch the getting a call and answering it on my watch the whole time I’m sending iMessages on my MacBook Pro....ecosystem means a lot to me.

Should I go Garmin or Samsung? I use iPhone but I won't jump on that bandwagon...battery fucking sucks compared to everything else. Apple Watch really isn’t the best for most people.. it sounds amazing if you’ve never had one but once you do you realize how few of the features u really use daily.. a cheaper fitness watch is all most people really need
I love my Garmin! I don’t have a Fenix but my forerunner 235 works great for me for telling me the time, running, Heart rate, and occasionally for notifications when my phone is in my pocket and am having a conversation with someone. I have considered an Apple Watch to wear for more leisurely but I don’t want to charge the thing everyday and really don’t know what I would need all the extra for when I already have an iPhone. Just another distraction I don’t need. PLUS, the Apple Watch doesn’t sync with strava?! Whack...
I have the Garmin 920XT, which is a multisport focused version similar to (though not as tough as - though it is several years old now with zero issues bar occasionally breaking the strap) the Fenix. Battery life is understated - I get a month and a half as a watch, and only have to recharge once a week or so recording workouts with GPS, heart rate and so on almost every day. As it gets messages and notifications, that I can see in front of me whilst riding/running/whatever to see if I need to pick up my phone, that's all I really need from a smart watch perspective.
Missed one column, price :) Also too bad he hadn't get his hands on Amazefit bip, I use that, shows all notifications, does gps and hearthrate for workout and battery goes over a month. Oh, and display is ofcourse always on, like a watch should have. Cost? 50-75 bucks.

I have a galaxy s3 frontier watch. It's great. It says its water resistant and dust proof and I've had it completely submerged, and covered in mud, I'm not easy with it at all. I treat it like its not on my wrist. Plus it's great quality, and easy to use
It's not as if you need the Fenix 5 either. Garmin do a load of watches at cheaper price points and for sports they are all brill. No point getting an apple watch if you are purely into it for sports.
Fantastic review. I have a Garmin Fenix 5 but it's because of my needs, I recommended to other people iWatch and Galaxy Gear to some friends but just by understanding their needs.

Apps and accessories are the best I mean I’m not an “isheep” but let’s be honest they are simple and actually very good to use I have one (series 3), also depends on which phone you have just buy the watch that goes with that company so you can get the most out of the watch.

I'm not gonna fight over witch is best, I would say buy what you want to spend your money on, just make sure it works in lock step with the phone you own.

Apps and accessories are the best I mean I’m not an “isheep” but let’s be honest they are simple and actually very good to use I have one (series 3), also depends on which phone you have just buy the watch that goes with that company so you can get the most out of the watch.
@@potz26 exactly, if you have a Apple iPhone why would you buy a galaxy watch, vice versa, I have a galaxy s10+, when I got my galaxy watch I didn't go into the store looking for any smartwatch they had, I was specifically looking for the watch that would sync with my phone with a push of a button. I'm not gonna fight over witch is best, I would say buy what you want to spend your money on, just make sure it works in lock step with the phone you own.
Garmin 935 for me because I am a triathlete. i also have 90% of the notifications turned off.

Garmin has a Tri mode that track the 3 sports at the same time.

@@danielc5647 The auto switching between swim>T1>bike>T2>run was why I bought a 935. I do mountain biking, yoga, dryland as cross training but I only compete in tri's. I admit I could have used more words to form a more complete comment :P
