A reimagined version of the Windu v. Sidious fight would be interesting to see
I know right? Given the level of intensity shown for reimagining Anakin vs Dooku, it’d be great for Windu and Palpatine, since they’ve both mastered Form VII (Juyo vs Vaapad)

Adding to that, his reimagined version would be unreal to see based on the research he does. The novelization actually has anakin arrive before the end of it, and says that he could barely even make out who was doing what because it was so fast and intense. Also, the first three masters killed canonically happened within a matter of about a second, even though it seems more like 5-7 in the movie. I wonder what starwalker's take on that all would have to be like. Probably insane
@@1dudecrush I would love to see them going at it with super speed. Shows the blurs but then have them go normal speed but Anakin is frozen In place showing perspective of the fast fighters

Mikestarwalker albeit some details were a bit bothersome. Like the Force push clash. Why is there no wind effect affecting Anakin and Obi-Wan (even TLJ got that right; if I have to complement TLJ for something done right then it’s a problem lol). But yes the Mustafar duel is amazing

@@Mikestarwalker Nah it's easy. Have Anakin fighting with way more force rather than speed (it makes him look more unhinged), and Obi looking like he is staggering and struggling to hold on the whole time and perhaps barely clinching the win over Anakin. Makes it look better than the choreographed dance and more like a fight.
The reimagined duel GENIUSLY demonstrates Obi-wans struggle to keep up with Dooku's powerful offensive movements. At 2:05 you can see Obi-wan making the most desperate attempt to land a strike and end the duel quickly, but he gets LOCKED into the most uncomfortable position and BARELY gets out of it 😱😱 GENIUS!!!!!!

LOl i was about to comment exactly on that particular moment! You can see that Obi-wan is no match for Dooku more clearly, and the form that Dooku practices is perfect to counter the defensive form III. Really well done @Mikestarwalker! Same as the rematch of Anakin vs Dooku in ep. III this is genius work.

@@sawyerallen1148 Yeah, the fights are good in the Sequels but the choreography isn’t the best. Luckily the story, characters, character arcs and themes are good though.

The sequel duels are more choreographed than the originals but not as stylized as the prequels.

Dude you need to be on the choreography team for the next movie. The fights in Star Wars have gotten better over the years but aren’t at the level I imagine especially after playing a bunch of Star Wars games where they take it to a whole new level.
I've waited nineteen years to see this done! You guys did a great job and the choreography between the three of you was excellent! Sidious dispatching the three Jedi masters and then his saber duel with Mace would be a good choice.
Having tried to mark down choreography of the original, and quickly come to the mentioned complaint, the close-up shots being mirrored made laugh _incredibly_ hard.

I also wanna see Anakin and Obi-Wan vs Dooku in Episode III imagined; mostly I wanna see Anakin vs Dooku in Episode III reimagined. Given that Anakin witnessed firsthand Dooku telekinetically strangling and possibly crushing Kenobi, I wanna see Anakin just wail into Dooku with ferocity and crushing blows
There's close ups on the faces for a reason.
Those who are more concerned with the sabers flailing around need to go watch Kung Fu type movies if that's what they're into. The shots that Lucas uses are because they're purposeful establishing shots meant to tell the story in some way, and the facial close ups give you a glimpse the character's up and down emotions as the fight goes. Obiwan is over powered and Tyrannous becomes confident. When he begins to fight Anakin he feels this engagement is the in bag. That is until we see that Anakin simply gets more ferocious after Dooku cuts down the spare saber. The close ups then tell us dialogue with out having Hayden or Lee ever having to speak anything out loud. It's all acting by facial expressions.
I would've liked the fight to have had more shots showing the flare of the fights, especially as they escalated and then go back to the face shots in between; but it my opinion; nothing needs to be changed from the Film. It doesn't even have a sound track. its all about that sheer focus and rage from Anakin building and the fall from Confidence and into Fear that Tyrannous feels when fighting him. It shows you just how powerful Anakin truly is - he goes toe to toe with a Sith Lord and drives him into a state of panic before he finally disarms (literally Anakin) for his own sake.
The reimagined version of how Anakin gets his arm cut off makes WAY more sense than how it happened in the actual movie. Like, in the movie, Anakin, like a dumbass, spreads his arms, leaving himself wide open, and basically let's Dooku cut his arm off.
It's like, couldn't George Lucas have written it that Dooku tried to Force push him, Anakin blocked it but not fast enough, thus throwing him off kilter, and Dooku cuts off his arm that way?
You would think in the movies that the fights would be fast and intense like the reimagined versions shown here. Since if you are a Jedi or Sith or something, by default, you're kind of a super human and have super strength, speed and reflexes. The guys from the movies can learn a thing or two from you guys. Great job. :)
I like the choreography of the prequels. But i want obi aan vs dooku and i do see how slow they are compared to the other duels. This duel surely needed a reimagined version and yours was truly better. However despite how clever you were with anakins defeat. I wish would have stuck to the disrespectful arm slice in the original movie. I feel you would have done a great job making it seem less faked. Overall amazing job

Wow! This reimagining of the Dooku duel in AOTC is intense!
If you guys decide to reimagine elements of the Anakin/Obi-Wan fight, address this issue: the Force push clash. Make it so there’s like actual wind blowing between Anakin and Obi-Wan, and when they’re both thrown backwards, show a VFX of an actual shockwave (a la Man of Steel) emitted.

The reimagined version is really good, but just one problem, Obi-Wan doesn't fight like the real Obi-Wan as the real Obi-Wan uses form III (3) which is all about blocking every hit of your enemy's attacks and get him to be tired after all if the blocks and then kill him/arrest him/win the fight
He starts on the offensive in the movie and that’s what I was going from. Certainly not using form 3 in aotc like he does in Rots.

it's crazy the difference between this fight n ep 2 vs ep 3 from both anakin n dooku...you can clearly see the aggression n form 4 but you can tell that anakin hasnt quite tap into the dark side that made him so overwhelming offensive n ep 3....
with dooku in ep 2 with his form 2 he has more grace n can match anakin blow for blow vs n ep3 you can tell he was starting to get overwhelmed in his fight when anakin tapped into the darkside...

Ok holy shit that's fucking amazing. I didn't like the original fight that much, but the reimagined version is top tier.
One big complaint I have about this fight, on top of the "too many close ups to their faces" is the ending. Why the fuck did Anakin stood up with his arm on the side while Dooku deadass did the slowest turn around slash I've ever seen???
Ok, your version was very well thought out and choreographed. Why?
Dooku is into classical dueling swordplay with minimal force incorporation and augmentation, but he is evil and old now so he is not above underhanded tactics, like punches, disarming tk pushes and jabs here and there inside one’s guard because anything to end the fight early show off his force command, satiate his darker emotions and hurt his enemies the most but not with overkill, still maintaining a facade of a linear, regal style and playfulness. so you kept that and doubled down on it with some better looking incorporation into the bladework than the original scenes i thought.
Second, dooku is an old man, and his alliance with the force is not what it once was even with the dark side, so he wants a fight to end as quick as possible, not drag on. Thus your choreography of him rushing forward hastily with strength in his hacks and slashes to offset the enemy quickly and trick them through things like calculating a sequence but switching to a different style right at the last second, is very believable. He is not slave to form, he fights intelligently and tactically as a premier league fencer of 60+ years of study.

Those of you wondering why this duel is so slow in the film, its actually Christopher Lee’s doing. No shade at the guy, but he demanded that he be in the fight as much as possible as he was thrilled with the idea of being in a lightsaber fight. Lucas gave him what he wanted. So they had to rewrite the whole scene to accommodate Lee’s age and arthritis.
Honestly the way Anakin loses his arm looks better here. In the original it's like he let Dooku cut it off. Here it's because of actual skill an not plot convenience.

Obi-wan should have dueled Dooku one on one more often in the Clone Wars. They are both very powerful, and they have that connection through QUi-Gon that gives them an interesting dynamic. But for some reason, it was always Anakin and Dooku, but I feel like that doesn't make as much sense because in Revenge of the Sith, Anakin speaks as though they haven't fought since Attack of the Clones.
It's Anakin's story though. Anakin was the young man, a learner, molded by war. Over the course of the Clone Wars we see him press Dooku more and more. In the earlier seasons Dooku would face Anakin solo, then with droids, droids and the Force, then surprise surprise there's a robot arm on your neck count.
Obi-Wan is not so much powerful but more skilled as a classically trained Jedi Knight should be in Dooku's opinion. Anakin is a freak of nature and Dooku is a little jealous deep down. Obi-wan in his mind is basically his grandson. There doesn't really need to be more of a connection than that. Plus Dooku molliwaps Obi 10/10.
