Brad, you nailed it. We do this work with the ventrac and a mini excavator as well and it works beautifully. A small ~4000 mini excavator would be more than sufficient for your needs here. It will also work very well with the Ventrac as the mini won’t overwhelm the ventrac and the ventrac wont be too much for the excavator. Keep up the good content and great work ethics
Brad, you’re experienced enough to understand most of these other odd landscaping jobs. I get weird requests like this but rarely is it worth doing because of the specific equipment I’d need. With that being said, these are the types of jobs you can make a lot of money from. This is due to the fact there aren’t many(if any) other companies giving quotes for this. For these types of jobs, I make the initial quote, then multiply it by 10. If they still accept that, then I figure out a way to accomplish it lol.
OH, I would love to come down there and run an excavator. I used one recently at our cities waste water plant clearing out volunteer tree stumps, picking up piles of brush and using the blade to level out the bottom of the retention pond.
I RESPECT these kind of videos..... waaaaay too many RUclips channels out there, actin like everyday out on the job site is perfect.
@invisiblerevolution I couldn’t agree with you anymore, nice to see others giving him credit for that.
I appreciate this very much, thank you!

Very much appreciate the confirmation in my thought process!

Post 10 has left the chat.
All you need is a rake!
Love your work

Hey just wondering how often do you replace the blades to your mowers???
Compared to normal residential or commercial jobs, how much more do these types of jobs pay in comparison...3,4,5x ??
Live and learn, right? Definitely agree though, that was the realm of a mini excavator, at that point.
Grable bucket works great with ventrac.
A high pressure water hose from a tanker or hydrant to flush the rocks.............
I think a high pressure hose would clean that out quickly.
What is the maxim slope that the Ventrac will take?
20 degrees stock, 25 with spacers, 30 with dual wheels
I would have rented a mini excavator to load bucket on the ventrac
Hey, Brad got himself a dog.
Looks like you are learning the hard way
Ya, you're right, need an excavator.
What happened to the dog? Whose dog was it?? Did you keep it?
use your mini excavator or your bobcat
People ask why there is a Florida man and I always say it's because Florida is part of the South.
Aaaww the doggie though LOL
I thought that was your dog for a sec
You should have went to Home Depot and picked up some day laborers. Share the wealth my friend, lol.
Definetly need an excavator for that
Power rake or the tiller would’ve worked well here.
Where did you get your knowledge on retention ponds, etc.?
That poor dog.
Yes I'm the fourteenth persom
Keep the pupper!!
I wonder what a skeletal dog wanted from you. so weird
