Love love listening to you Billy you remind me so much of my daddy sitting around the table and he otfen told stories from his childhood. Your gestures are so similar. Your a funny warm and welcoming I can see why Elvis loved you so much. Cheers all the way from Australia. Xx
Imagine,,,,being poor as it gets then you have the whole world and your wildest dreams come true & more. Elvis Presley opened up the whole world to being a individual.

Hi Danny.billy.jo .my wife and I are loving your channel.thank you so much for deciding to do this.thousand of fans are enjoying it so very much.your all so humble.would love to see you hear in little ole England.
I still would like to cook turnip greens fresh from the garden with bacon bits, have a slice of ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, with corn bread and some blacked peas!
You were family with Elvis Forever so to you he was like a brother. Did you ever look at him singing especially a song like a big hunk of Love or one of his ballets like Are You Lonesome Tonight and just shake your head and not believe what beauty you heard coming out of that voice. Did you ever look at him physically and really say just like a fan my God how could anybody be this beautiful? Thank you so much for this channel Elvis is in my heart daily and this means so much to me Robert in Connecticut. Saw Elvis in 1976 in New Haven Connecticut. It was awesome. Been to Graceland three times hope to go again and went for my 60th birthday last May
Love to hear these stories especially, from you all Being Elvis's family. Thank you for sharing your memories of him. I wished I had the opportunity to of meet Elvis. Love him all the more.
Dear MM Kid, I feel like I'm sitting around talking to an aunt and uncle when I watch the vid's...I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for getting your Dad and Mom on these telling the stories they remember...of all the books and all of the stories I've heard over the years I've always felt that your Dad (Billy), had to have been just about as close to Elvis as anyone in the world, (except for his mom and Dad, of course)...and probablly closer to him than his dad in some respects...The story about them coming up from Tupelo and turnip greens is so great you can't imagine...I think I'll start another box because this one is getting a little full...anyway thank you...Ethan
Awesome video and thanks for showing so much love for our friend Elvis. I'm from central MS and in Memphis every weekend and always make a point to pass by Graceland on the way back home to MS to show my support in keeping the second greatest man to ever walked the Earth name alive.... Jesus was the first and even Elvis was Heaven Sent..... the two most generous men that ever lived. ; . )
This is fantastic! I hope that you continue with many more stories to come. I hope that you will include a story about Priscilla soon. Keep it coming, I love it!
I didn't know that your family was actually with Elvis, Vernon and Gladys when they made that move to Memphis. I don't know why, but I always thought it was just the three of them and you all arrived later. Thanks for setting that straight. I have one question for you Billy- Do you eat turnip greens today? I do, and I love them! You guys are the best, thanks for sharing this with us!
Wow...!!! What great story !! I sure wish I was sitting right there with y'all at that table . I could sit and listen to those kinds of stories for hours . I love turnip greens and collards too . I always put fat back in mind too , but I add just a little bit of sugar to mine . I could picture all of y'all in the car moving too . Been there and have done that too . Especially when I was growing up , but because we moved so much I don't like change . Once I became an adult I meant I wasn't moving around no more . I guess it would have to be something pretty special to get me to leave . lol ! Thank y'all so much for the great story . I loved it !! Can't wait to hear another one !! We always live Elivs !!! 💗
Wow, I didn't know that, Billy, you were in the car on the move to Memphis too. Must have been 1948? That was the year my mom was born. I love hearing stories of what life was like back in those days and beyond. Thanks for sharing as always - live Elvis :)
Hey Billy, i would love to take a picture with you, talk to you, always wanted that, you were good friend and family to Elvis, i really love that 🇺🇸👍👍 EP forever
I can't believe you would eat another turnip green again Billy. For us folk in Australia what does it taste like, just your normal turnip?? Jo what is polk salad?? Thanks for sharing all these wonderful stories Danny it's nice to get a collection of these early stories before he was famous and after, what an amazing life. Thanks for sharing
Hi Danny, Thanks so much for what ur doing. Long overdue. I'm a big fan and a bit of an Elvis historian as well. As you know, your father is the last of the original 5 . I'm in Indy and met my brother in Memphis the week before Christmas. We stayed at The Guest House. Outstanding! We have been several times and always try to retrace the steps of Elvis in and around Memphis. This trip we did Horn Lake, The Memphian Playhouse (stood in the Lobby where he met Linda in July of 72) and Coletta's Italian just to mention a few. We also made it a point to find the house that E bought Linda on Ole Hickory. Elvis was an incredible gift to the world. Question: Can you describe the scenario in regard to the "68 Comeback" Special? I'm talking about your family; where you gathered to watch it and all the circumstances and your thoughts. Thank you Danny. I hope to write again. Mark in Indy
Elvis loved all his friends a family a wanted to share Graceland his wealth a time w his family I believe he had a good heart a soul. A loved joking around a acting like a kid a enjoyed doing new things a exploring things I bet Elvis was a blast being around I would have loved to been at his rehearsals a at Graceland ESP at Christmas.
Billy ,ellvis seemed to haved lost his will to go on after cilla left .is that only my thoughts on it. You spent alot of time together, can you answer your thoughts on that.
Love your stories and your parents. Y'all are the best. You're very fortunate to be so closely related to Elvis! Is it true Elvis taught himself to play the guitar and piano? Thank you. Connie Holliday, Memphis, TN
I had to come back and tell y'all I shared this story that Billy told about Elivs not liking turnip greens . I told my Mama I said , well....that theory that's about if you eat turnip greens or collards and black eyed peas on New year's you'll be rich is not true . Cause Elivs was rich and he didn't eat his turnip greens. LOL......!!! I just had to share that with y'all !! 😂💗 I hope y'all have a very Happy New Year !!
I have a question and would love if you could answer. I've seen several photos and even some video of when Graceland charged extra to kind of take people back through the backyard of Graceland and would go by what I believe Elvis would call the 'back exit', though it was really more to the left side of the house I believe, as you stood looking at Graceland. But right back there, and I know Graceland has now built an earthquake, fireproof, tornado proof building in the back, but I'm not talking about that. What I am referring to is I have noticed back in that area several small brick type building that could have possibly been used for people staying over, and in one video, there even seems to be a small normal looking house in the back, in that region. Are you familiar with any of this, as I assume you would be, and what is there exactly - or was - and what was it used for. Because in one really good video a guy did it looked, almost, like there was this really small but quaint little village back there and I found it very interesting and something not often talked about as fans never really get out into the back yard much. THANKS!!!
Dear M&M Kid I'm posting another box here because this seems to be one of the newest vid's you've made...I'm probablly a few years older than you but I see you wearing crossed rifles...that can only mean one thing to a ground pounder like me, Infantry!...I was in the first gulf war and am wondering if you were also?...Did your Dad and mom go to Humes High along with Elvis?...sorry about any misspelled words but I'm not the best speller!...also I never could figure out all the rules for capitalizing words so when I write somthing with pen or pencil I just capitalize everything so no body will figure me out...you know nobody mentions about hearing Elvis practice his Guitar when he was learning to play...I'll bet your dad remembers that!!! thanks...Ethan
I just love you guys story's it just bring us closer to the man not the star. Billy do you know any stories of the early days when he went to gulfport / biloxi miss.and riding motor cycles on the beach? My uncle Bubba was chief of police back then. Just wondering if Elvis shared that story with yall.
From reading my first post you'll probablly guess that I have a ton of Questions...I'll put some numbers in front so as to try to be exact...1) why did Elvis call Minne Mae "Dodger"?...I'm thinking it was because she would throw things at you boys if you T'd her off!...2) Did Minnie Mae and Gladys ever chew snuff?...if it seems to personal then I don't expect an answer, of course...3) In the early years did You'all travel up north any to perform in KY, WVA, or Ohio?...4) Did Elvis ever meet Jim Brown of the Cleveland Browns NFL football team?...could you have your dad tell some interesting stories about when they would play football when you where kids?...I read that one time Elvis was playing football in Memphis and the opposing team was a group of colored kids and they had Elvis and his buddy's rolling around laughing because instead of calling out the standard , "Hut 22-44-Hut-Hut" etc...they where substituting the names of fruits and vegtables! Lord have mercy, that would have had me rolling around too! thanks. Ethan
Mr. Smith you .can make anyone laugh !
Love love listening to you Billy you remind me so much of my daddy sitting around the table and he otfen told stories from his childhood. Your gestures are so similar. Your a funny warm and welcoming I can see why Elvis loved you so much. Cheers all the way from Australia. Xx

These are great videos. Do you know if the house you lived in behind Graceland is still there? If so, when was the last time you were in it?
+mcnama12 No, it's not there anymore. I haven't been to Graceland in a very long time.
I had to come back and tell y'all I shared this story that Billy told about Elivs not liking turnip greens . Hey do you know anything about Vernon's ranch, that he sold in 74? Out on McKinstry Rd? As per Spa Guy's vid.
What was Vernon like?
You never did part two
OMG 😂😂😂😂😂

+Christopher Tyler The brick buildings weren't there when we lived there. They're were three trailers back there at the time.
Thanks Danny!!!;-)
Why did Elvis have to do the shifting?
Vad är tartlegreens?
Billy, did the mafia fall out with Jerry and Joe? Larry Geller seemed to be a strange bird.
