    One thing is you can't get passed the fact that you are a product of your environment. Elvis grew up with a mom who had addictions and a father that was known to step out every so often. He definitely had momma issues and that was more than like due to his mom being so over protective. I can't say I wouldn't have done the same thing if in the same situation. The loss of a baby has to be impossible to understand if you haven't been through it. I Love Elvis. I love learning about his life and admire the person he was to those less fortunate. His voice was truly a gift. His Life was Hard, Sad, Exciting, Amazing, Blessed and Tragic all rolled into one. I am Thankful we still can hear his amazing gift and see his extraordinary talent. He is still breaking records and making marks in history today. Heck he is on top of the Gospel charts 41 years after his death. Obviously he did something right.

    I love this! Seeing Billy and Jo looking so healthy and happy is so touching. Listening to them talk about how Elvis was with the women he loved is just so telling of what a great man that Elvis was. I was 16 years old when the news of Elvis' passing happened. I can't help but feel somehow connected to him because 3-4 days before he passed, I felt it. I was feeling how many people would be affected if Elvis died suddenly. Don't ask me to explain that because I can't. I had even told my mom that I kept thinking about him and how much it would affect a lot of people if he died. I have had this type of thing happen to me all my life and I don't claim to be anything and I don't label myself as a psychic, telepath and I don't pursue that in any way. After his funeral and once he had been buried, according to the news, I had a dream that he was alive and had come to our house. In the dream, my mom cut, dyed and gave him a different hairstyle and told us not to tell anyone, ever of this. I was 16 years old at the time and had not been an Elvis fan. I was shocked the day when I heard of his passing because of the huge burden my heart had been feeling for those few days prior. It actually scared me. Anyway....its good to see Billy and Jo, people that were so close to Elvis, doing well and you can tell how much they loved him and still love him in memory. 💖

      I'm a real new fan here, I study the person and the artist in any versions. I'm surprised how much fans or people around him felt "connected" to him ! How much the fans told they felt "things" and their instinct were vivid with him, because I fell that too. We know that he was very kinda medium with his parents and siblings, and well, he is not another artist, there is very much more about him. Charisma, sensitivity, aura, connections...I really feel that too, so many years after he passed...!

    Probably the reason Ginger was harder to get to know compared to some of the others was she was so young and as you all got older it was harder to relate to her as a girlfriend as she was young enough to be your daughter. I have read her book and it was good. She seemed to really show a lot of the good in Elvis and kind of try to cover up, or should I say smooth over the bad. I think Elvis was in love with the idea of being in love that is why he had to have a woman around all the time. Thank you for taking the time to do these videos and shed some light on one of the most complicated men I have ever read about.

      I'm someone rich in life, with the means to take care of myself. I'm a very happy bonafide loner and will say, almost all those clinging to Elvis, don't want to believe anything that's beyond what they believe.
      If we honestly look at everything we know, it can be said that Elvis had no morals; sleeping with women just because they loved him. Did he love them? How could he? He loved having sex like all men, but didn't seem to care there was one everywhere he went. A one night stand was his behavior and no emotional attachment. Now women everywhere are defending that. "He was such a good man blah, blah, blah ...and LOVED his mother! Most sons do love their mother, and she usually isn't looking like the most unhappy person in the world.

    I love watching y’all! It’s great to hear the down to earth relatives talk about Elvis. I can tell how close you all were. I would like to tell y’all about when my mama met him before he made it big. He was just about to take off. We live in Kernersville NC. Elvis was performing at the the Carolina Theater in Winston-Salem. Mama was 16 and he was 18-19. Mama’s sister had been to see him the day before and told mama she just had to go with her again to see this good looking guy! Mama was Miss Popular, homecoming Queen, Chief cheerleader and loved her school and the guys there. She wanted to go to a pep rally instead! She almost didn’t go, but her sister told her she just HAD to go see Elvis! So reluctantly she went. She and her sister had to share a seat! Mama said he came out on stage and started singing and her jaw dropped! She drooled the whole time! After the show they tore the posters off the wall and waited for Elvis to come out the side door in an alleyway. Mama said there was only one other couple out there waiting! Finally Elvis came out wearing a blue suit and mama said he had on blue suede shoes! He asked if they wanted him to sing Blue Suede Shoes right there in the alleyway and he did! He was shaking those hips too! Then they started talking and Elvis seemed really interested in mama because, not going to lie, she was gorgeous! She said he talked to her the whole time and she told him everything she could think of about school. Finally, they ran out of things to say so mama and my aunt said they better go. My aunt heard he’d been kissing the girls so she asked him for a kiss and he kissed her!!! Mama said she about died that her sister was so bold and planned on telling their mother! He didn’t kiss mama…they got in the car and started to drive off when he walked over, stopped the car by putting his knees down on the bumper. Mama was in the backseat with her window down. He walked around to her window, leaned in and was face to face with her and said, “I could just eat you up, doll’ and he laid one on her!!!! She nearly died! Next day they went to school with his signature on their hands and knees! Their teachers tried to make them wash it off, but they pretended it wouldn’t come off! Needless to say my aunt and mama are huge Elvis fans and mama has a life size Elvis statue in her living room!!! She loves to tell people to come in the living room because she has someone that wants to meet them! Haha!

    That’s a great compliment to Linda, I believe she was also very involved and close to Lisa Marie. I believe Billy and family’s story about his views on marriage not Gingers story, she really wasn’t in the picture very long at all (9months I believe) to have reached that stage of commitment logically speaking. But the reality is it seems ALL aspects of his life (marriage, career, MM break up, financial, health and general interest in life) deteriorated very quickly after his family broke up - dead within 4-5 short years! He clearly was so incredibly tired and weary towards the end. Such a tragic and sad sad end! So glad his Smith family take the time to keep sharing the legacy of this wonderful man that still means so much to the whole world!

    I love the stories. I was mesmerized by Elvis since I was a young boy. I wanted to be just like him. I've lived in New Hampshire all my life and In 1961, I was 7 years old and my mother talked me into being in a school talent show. I sang two Elvis songs. Teddy Bear and Hound Dog. I made believe I was playing a guitar but my 21 year old brother was playing the guitar behind a curtain. I won 2nd place and a $50.00 gift certificate to Bon Tons (a clothing store at the time) And since then to this day, I play and sing Elvis songs around my house. I'm 66 years old now but Elvis is still alive in my mind. The greatest singer that ever lived. A side note: I think there was a time when He made the movie Viva Las Vegas that he was in love with Ann Margaret but had made a promise to Priscilla's parents and he kept it. Just my thoughts. Thank you for what you do. I heard a lot about him and Billy through the years. This give a very special perspective. To just hear the voices attached to the names finally is special. Thanks again

      That's True, and fair enough....
      But what is also true is absolutely that TOO MANY PEOPLE JUDGE THE LADIES CONCERNED, IN COMPLETE CONTRAST AND OPPOSITE OF AFFORDING HIM THE MONIKER OF "YOU CAN'T JUDGE HIM UNTIL YOU'VE WALKED A MILE IN HIS SHOES"...
      WELL FOLKS, LIKE IT OR LUMP IT, THE SAME GOES FOR ALL THESE LADIES; WHO, I MIGHT ADD, ALL LOST/RELINQUISHED *A LOT* OF THEMSELVES AND ADAPTED A GREAT DEAL, IN A WAY THAT DIDN'T SUIT THEM OR ANY SORT OF LIFE OF THEIR OWN INDEPENDENT OF ELVIS, JUST TO BE WITH HIM & TO KEEP HIM HAPPY, WITH MORE REGARD TO THAT (HIS HAPPINESS) BY PUTTING THEIR OWN HAPPINESS ON THE BACK BURNER/IN SECOND PLACE....
      SO, EQUALLY TO HIM, *ALL OF THESE LADIES* OUGHT TO BE AFFORDED AT LEAST THE SAME "DON'T JUDGE THEM ONE BIT, BEFORE OR UNTIL YOU'VE WALKED A MILE; OR EVEN CLIMBED A MOUNTAIN; IN ANY OF THEIR SHOES.... FULL STOP!!
      YOU LOVE ELVIS (AS DO I)...?! WELL THEN, HERE'S REALITY: HE LOVED EACH OF THESE LADIES. BILLY SAYS IT ABOVE, BILLY WAS THE CLOSEST TO HIM, WELL BETWEEN BILLY AND JOE ESPOSITO.... ULTIMATELY I THINK BILLY WOULD BE *THE* ABSOLUTE BEST, CLOSEST CONFIDANTE, IN THAT HE WAS FAMILY AS WELL AS BEING A BEST MATE, SO ELVIS KNEW IN HIS BONES THAT BILLY WOULD NEVER, EVER BETRAY HIM IN ANY WAY (NOT THAT JOE EVER DID OR EVER WOULD HAVE TO BE FAIR -LOVELY MAN!, BUT THERE'S AN ADDED LAYER OF TRUST THAT, EXPLICITLY, BY IT'S VERY NATURE, CAN ONLY COME FROM FAMILY) SO BILLY WAS UNIQUE IN THAT RESPECT.
      LIKE I SAID, IF YOU LOVE AND RESPECT ELVIS, THEN RECOGNISE THAT HE LOVED EACH OF THESE LADIES (ESP PRISCILLA; LINDA; ANITA; GINGER... AND FOR A TIME, ANNE MARGARET... IN THAT ORDER I PERSONALLY THINK. HE LOVED PRISCILLA TIL THE DAY HE DIED; AS SHE DID HIM, BUT THE FACT THAT AFTER SHE HAD HIS CHILD EXACTLY 9 MONTHS AFTER THEIR WEDDING, AND SUBSEQUENTLY HE WOULDN'T SLEEP WITH HER; WELL THE INTIMACY FLEW OUT THE WINDOW, ALONG WITH ALL/MOST OF HER SELF ESTEEM (BECAUSE YOU KNOW HE'S GETTING IT SOMEWHERE ELSE, YOU WAITED ALMOST A DECADE TO CONSUMATE THIS LOVE, GOT TO DO THE DEED A HANDFUL OF TIMES BEFORE HE WOULDN'T TOUCH YOU BECAUSE UR PREGNANT, YOU GOT PREGNANT RIGHT AWAY ON THE WEDDING NIGHT, AND YOU'D ALREADY PUT UP WITH ALMOST A DECADE OF TURNING A BLIND EYE TO ADULTERY; I HONESTLY THINK THAT'D SEND ANY SANE WOMAN ABSOLUTELY DAFT WITH FRUSTRATION, TO BE AT HER PEAK & HAVE WAITED A DECADE FOR THREE, MAYBE FOUR SESSIONS OF LOVEMAKING WITH HER HUSBAND, THEN THE TAPS NOT JUST RUN DRY -HE DISCONNECTED THE DAMN SUPPLY AT THE MAINS!!, SO TO BE IN YOUR PRIME, KNOCKOUT BEAUTIFUL, AND NOT FEEL DESIRED IN ANY WAY; IF HE'D NOT DONE THAT THEY'D HAVE LASTED A GOOD BIT LONGER; WHICH IS VERY SAD, BECAUSE I THINK ONLY PRISCILLA OR LINDA, IF ANYBODY AT ALL, ONE OF THOSE TWO WERE THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO MAY HAVE BEEN ABLE TO KEEP HIM ALIVE); THAT HE HAD HIS REASONS TO LOVE EACH OF THEM THE WAY HE DID; IF YOU HONESTLY RESPECT HIM, DON'T THEN INFANTILISE HIM BY JUDGING THE CHOICES HE MADE. FACT IS HE COULD HAVE ANY WOMAN ON EARTH, AND HE CHOSE THESE LADIES. THAT MEANS THAT THEY ALL HAD TO HAVE A LOT GOING FOR THEM, AND RECOGNISE THAT EACH OF THEM SACRIFICED A LOT OF THEMSELVES TO BE WITH HIM & KEEP HIM HAPPY. NOBODY BUT ELVIS AND EACH OF THE WOMEN INVOLVED KNOW THE EXACT INS AND OUTS OF THEIR LOVE AND INTIMACY, SO IT'S WRONG TO JUDGE ANY OF THEM. NONE OF US KNOW. PERIOD!

      I believe he truly loved 💜 Priscilla until the day he died, but he did put her through a lot, & she stayed with him as long as she possibly could ... when she finally ended things for sake of her own sanity, she still loved 💜 him deeply & did until he died (even still does now) ... Yes! If Elvis had a say, he would've taken care of Billy and his family the rest of their life. At the time though he was running short on money and of course he wanted to take care of his daddy and daughter. He would be outraged for Priscilla's treatment of Billy and Jo and the alienation of Lisa with that side of her family.

    I have two or three stories about Elvis that have never been told publicly. They are my mother’s stories. She says Elvis is gone and she will be 84 this year. I’ve wanted to tell these stories before, but she doesn’t want me to. I told her I wouldn’t tell them until after she no longer cares if they are told are not.
    These may be the only stories to go down in history that have never been heard. Of course, I know there are plenty of stories his family & his closest associates (who are still with us) have never shared. I would be happy to tell them to you privately. I know you would get a kick out of hearing them. From a small child, I have always adored Elvis. Not only for his music, his soul, his spirit, his sense of humor, his love for family ... but most importantly I adore him because of his interactions with my mother.

    I really wish that so many more knew about Elvis’ closeness to Billy.
    Elvis wanted to have Billy around him all the time. They really were like brothers.
    Elvis had more confidence in Billy than anybody else throughout his life.
    Billy loved his ”brother” and looked up to him like most do to their bigger brothers.
    And it was his own blood to.
    Im not writing this for people that have read a lot about Elvis through all these years ,but because so many people who wants to know more can listen to this with confidence. Not a single word here is false.
    I would say its a fantastic family.
    Billy and Jo spent more than 50 years together I guess, and they still have so much respect for each other.
    Dont miss any of their other videos. Just saying.

    See, Elvis "loved" all his women. But Elvis' "love" was always superficial, it couldn't be deep because he just did not have the time to develop it. He had to put in exceptionally long hours, days, weeks, months and years to have a successful career. He had too much to do with that. Think of all the time it took to record, rehearse, perform and travel, good grief. He had so much on his mind. His "love" was really more of deep "like'., like very good friends, whether there was sex or not. I really think that's Elvis. So many people want to romanticize his relationships, especially with Priscilla, like she was "the only one". I think not. He was pressured to marry her, and it was really his fault because he brought her to Graceland to live, but by the time they married, he was 31, he certainly didn't rush into it. And her parents and her pressured Elvis to marry Priscilla. He was a gentleman so he married her, but he really didn't want to, he wasn't the marrying kind and he knew it. He never changed his lifestyle just because he got married, but that's what she wanted.....she reaped what she sowed. He loved all the women he was with, Priscilla was just one of many.

    • @roselamoure
      @roselamoure Год назад +2

      Elvis was a narcissist actually. There are many forms of narcissism but there is no denial that he had, I don’t think Elvis ever truly with his heart loved any woman tbh, in order to „love“ someone it had conditions. For example he didn’t love Priscilla for who she was, he groomed her and changed everything about her to make her fit into his ideal woman. I mean who does that?! That‘s so messed up that‘s not real love. Elvis was very talented and he has goodness in him, but unfortunately he also had a very dark side and he definitely was a narcissist. I agree with everything you said completely though💯🙌🏻

    • @joannemcclure3546
      @joannemcclure3546 Год назад +2

      @@roselamoure Actually that grooming issue came from Priscilla saying that. In Child Bride, it was shown that it was SHE who decided to groom herself with what she assumed he’d like. It began with copying Debra Paget then continued in with copying his leading ladies. And he didn’t always like what she did. He never was like that with his earlier girlfriends Dixie, June, or Anita who he had planned to marry so to me, it’s suspect. Also, Elvis was self-centered and that comes from being an only child plus he always had low self-esteem from early poverty and being looked down upon so he needed positive comments all the time, he was fragile that way. But he was always very empathic with everyone which is not a form of narcissism. Last, Elvis was the least prepared 19 year old to have thrust upon him the superstardom that enveloped him. It was very scary and he could have been killed several times. And all the recording in studios and learning scripts and traveling left no time to mature like other young men his age. He was deprived of the normalcy a regular life brings as he was always on a “treadmill “. So many things he just didn’t know which is why he had to have so many people around him to help. How could he ever know what deep love could mean with all that he had to do and be for his career? And no young woman he was involved with would be able to be understanding of his life demands either and stick with him thru thick and thin. Plus all the physical inherited genetic problems he was born with and suffered with that only got worse. Elvis did the best he could with what he had. It’s amazing he did as well as he did and lived as long as he did. May God always hold him in His loving arms.❤️

    I never knew this side of Elvis and his beloved family, cousins and all. I was eight years old a few months after he passed and my late dad Gene was Elvis age and loved that song BIG BOSS MAN lol. He would play it for his grandkids in his truck riding down the road along with Johnny Cash Merle Haggard. Dad loved Elvis too. Me and my identical twin sister Carla are going to Graceland for the very first time this October for our 50th birthday. We are so excited. Our dad had us wear Elvis buttons to church and bible school when Elvis passed in 1977. Then my twin sister started getting his albums from Santa at Christmas. LOL Elvis played in 1956 at our Sports Arena in Savannah Georgia, my dad had a 56 Ford Victoria and had the loud exhaust that would wake the neighborhood up and remembered that concert very well. He had slicked his hair back and rolled his short sleeves up too. But my dad to me looked more like Johnny Cash lol Me and my twin are addicted to watching Memphis Mafia Kid and the Spa Man. GOD BLESS YOU ..... Cara And Carla

    Damn Billy! Thanks for being so honest with us! I understand why Elvis loved you and Jo and your boys so much!look forward too seeing you guys on these videos.one thing that I have noticed is you tell it the way you lived it ! Can't say that about the others who where with The King all those years! Billy and Jo was Elvis really talking about getting healthy and cutting back on the meds in the last months of his life? Thanks again for doing what you'll are doing Best all time!!

    I have just recently become an Elvis fan. I love to learn about people. Elvis is my latest binge research. The one sticking point I have is Ginger. What you say about them having a "good" relationship goes against what my research has seemed to point out. From what I have heard, Ginger and Elvis fought quite a bit. And others seemed to know this. This seemed to add more stress on Elvis. Perhaps it is not true, as Ginger has stated. But this is what I "felt" when I watched her interviews both the older ones and the most current ones where she is promoting her book. Her interviews just come across as very, very "rehearsed". She never came across as grieving. And another point that came across for me was when she told about the proposal. I can not see Elvis getting down on one knee to propose. He didn't even do that for Priscilla. Plus, she said, "he said some really nice things". Excuse me, I think if someone like Elvis proposed......I would remember every word he said but in every interview she said same thing over and over again....."some sweet things" or something along that line. AND the real BIGGIE for me was her mother suing the Presley estate for money they say he promised. Which I could believe he would say that but there would be no way I would sue for it and from what I heard, Elvis liked giving to people but only on his terms and he did not like people to expect it. Ginger was right there with her mother during the trials. Just doesn't sound like a woman Elvis would really, really love. And Ginger never sounded like she loved him. She may have looked the part but she seemed a long way from what he looked for in women. The "proposal" just seemed mighty convenient for Ginger. The ring that everyone thinks is proof.....Elvis gave gifts like that all the time. Even just fans who happened to be at the right place at the right time. I just don't believe anything from Ginger. And I think the fact that Elvis already had a replacement for the next show, proves it. I think Ginger may have been on her way out but before he got rid of her completely he wanted to make sure he had a replacement ready. No I have not read her book and I would love to do so but there is no way I'm going to buy it and put money in that woman's pocket. My bottom line question to you, am I close to being truthful with my observations and please don't say that she and her family were nice....I would love to hear the TRUTH concerning that last relationship Elvis had. It's none of my business except Ginger has put it out there for a price. Thank you so much and I enjoy hearing y'all!!!

      The only thing I know that's true is Elvis did propose to her. He did take the diamond out of his TCB ring and had Lowell(his jeweler) make her a ring. But Billy had talked to him before he died and asked Elvis if he really was going to marry her. Elvis told him no, but like Billy said Elvis could've said different to Ginger. They were feuding because she wasn't going to go on the first leg of his tour. We'll never know for sure, but I don't think he would've ever gotten married again. He didn't like that she always wanted to go out when he just wanted to stay home. Marty Lacker told Elvis that he needed to understand that with the age difference, Elvis had already lived that part of his life and her being younger she wanted to go out and show him off. Which was telling to me about why she was with him aside from he treated her like a princess.

      I agree with you! She also sold the ring that Elvis gave her when he proposed. Seems like she does not care, just wants to cash in! Not a fan of Ginger. Linda Thompson seems like a class act and would have been a great wife for Elvis.

    Thank you so much for sharing your stories with Elvis and the women in his life. I always loved Elvis and Pricilla together and they had a beautiful babygirl. Lisa Marie. They were like our King and Princess. I remember Linda from heehaw. I would set on the floor and my niece and my family would watch it when ever it keep on. Linda was a beautiful lady. I think Elvis and Pricilla never married again because they loved each other so much. I still think to this day Pricilla will always love Elvis. You never get over your first love. You stick them away in a corner and I've heard alot of ppl say this. They always wonder what happened to them. We always love Elvis.❤
