I admire and love Michael as much as the next person, but I do believe it needs to be pointed out periodically that the refs let him get away with A LOT - traveling (illustrated in the last play shown in this clip), carries (some of which were truly excessive and more or less a double-dribble), up-and-downs, push-offs, etc.
True but at least it’s not a 5 step travel layup like Lebron vs Murray the other night in the 2nd quarter of I believe game 3
Grabbing, Hooking, and using his off hand to swat away the arms of defenders, too. He most certainly got away with a lot of calls. He was very, very quick but committed many travelling violations that were not called. Even with all the leniency the league granted him throughout his career, it still pales, in comparison, to what O'Neal got away with.
