This is a inspiring video I ever seen. What's the reason why you be a software engineer. Could you tell me the step how to become a great software engineer?
a video is comin up@@jununhsu1702
@@daniellaerachannel Thanks a lot!
Been obsessed with these kinds of videos lately. As a comp sci major I love seeing what it's like to work day to day in the industry! Please make more of these so I can do my coding/programming assignments while watching :)
bro you need to by a train for not westing mony
when i was young ( high school ) student. I watched videos a day in the life of software engineer and see that their life so chill. Everything become nightmare when my coding journey is started in real jobs. Study Big O, Data Structure, new technoogies, new tools. I'm not allowed to stop learning even my shift is ended and i got home. One of the most stressful jobs ever and youtubers make it always seem like this is one of the easiest, chill jobs ever that get pay well - 6 figures.
I wouldn't say it's stressful; it depends on the company. As a junior developer, it's normal to keep learning, so you'll need to work a lot initially. That can be stressful, but take it step by step. Trying to learn everything at once will make it overwhelming and ineffective. Also, keep in mind that these types of RUclips videos often glamorize things. However, most good companies support their employees with this “environment” and this “practices”, helping them be more productive and mentally healthier.
it all depends on the project your working on. but for certain they do give you enough work to prevent you creating your own application or even a business with all the knowledge you acquired from them 😂
@@lazyman2451 yes I agree it depends on the project you're working on, but I wouldn't agree with what you said, “for certain they do give you enough work to prevent you from creating your own application or even a business”, normally they don't give you things to do off-work hours, if they do, then they pay you. (If you are not getting paid for that, it's time to move, haha). But besides that, yes you have time to practice, create apps and business with your new knowledge if you really want.
I know my 24 hours are not your 24 hours, but one hour a day, it's 365 hours a year on your new project keep that in mind…
I always find these videos very inspiring.
Then again, I myself wouldn't have the patience to wake up everyday to such a long commute just to work in a co-working space.
Thanks a lot for your comment. I’ll probably explain in one of my videos later but the reason why I’m working in Lausanne is that Vaud canton has different opportunities the inspired me a lot since several years and Geneva canton didn’t have what I was looking for. There’s also a different mentality so that’s why I prefer commute and hybrid work than working 15 minutes from home.
@@daniellaerachanneli like coding and love it, and i like to your video
As someone who’s learning both French and software development, I love this video so much
I went from Japan to Zurich last month. It wasn't cold yet, and the city was beautiful, so I really came to like Switzerland. The trains are very convenient. I also enjoyed the beautiful lakes and delicious bread.I'll go again.
It's a pleasure to see the creativity and quality of the video
I love watching these kind of videos cos you all have really nice keyboards
Finally, someone who is actually working and coding. Most of theses videos is people sitting in front of the computer for 30 minutes and then spend the rest of the day walking through the facility.
😅That was a really great way to show your daily work life ! The commute in the morning was rough though
Great material! Very inspiring! 🤝
Hey Daniel, Kudos to keeping your devices clean without any fingerprints etc 🤟
Awesome video!
Hey buddy it’s been a while. Thank you so much for your message and glad to hear from you!
Great video. I enjoyed watching it. Keep it up 👍🏾

Your working environment is great, I would like to work in such an office.

I'm having a hard time getting my degree of Informatics Engineering study, this year and half is my very last chance to complete it. But i'm glad this video pop up since i feel a bit of motivation so i can have a chance to living a work life like you. I hope i can complete my study this year.
Video Editing is top notch
The sounds of the morning scooter ride are something else. Kinda sad the music was overlayed, but it definitely fits.
You are living my dream, basically I am starting my career as a programmer, I hope someday I can achieve it, greetings.
love your videos!
Thankssss
living the life of a software engineer dang that would be a dream come truei
You can’t imagine how i want to go to Switzerland it’s my dream country i live in Algeria currently studying software engineering i hope i can live there one fay
Hello Sir , Thank you to sharing such a inspiration .
This is very inspiring video i ever seen until now , yes everyday is new fresh start and new challenge but this is very inspiring . I always wanted to work in this field and i'm trying hopefully that day will come. I pray to god to give you more success in life .
Thank you to share .
Awesome!
Excellent video as always ❤
Thanks !
When I worked 12+ hour shifts in Georgia (US State) in the winter it was dark when I got there and dark when I left… and the office had no windows.
Was a bit depressing.
Very chill life compared to what people in the production deal with... :D Keep your job
such a vibe
its cool how many people are using scooters.
Watched the entire video and this is really soo good.
Thanks mate 😉
exellent video this job is very nice
As a recent graduate in the field of IT, I have been unable to secure employment for several months, leaving me feeling anxious and unsure about what steps to take next. I found this video intriguing and it also added to the pressure of job hunting. In my country, it's challenging to find IT employment without extensive prior experience (My English is not good, sorry if there are words that make you misunderstand)
hey bro i love your vlog 😍
Love from Bharat❤
this video is good to watch and swizerland is my dream working country
from india
thts so awesome, im still a student BS comscie, i wnted to be like u, so i grind everyday to improve my skills in coding
Glad to see that.
Time to get a G-shock. There is a Bertling store, as well, right down the lane. :D
Please, we need a video explaining how you became a software engineer
This just reminds me of how much better it is to work from home. The amount of time wasted going into the offices is insane....and money...could be used for far more important things...
that keyboard sounds so nice
love durum xD gives +10 dev power
What NOT to do as a software engineer:
1. Bring a mechanical keyboard to the office😂
thats why WFH is so much better, no pointless commutes anymore
can we talk about this crazy HQ ???? feels like Google HQ everything is so nice damn
Hey Daniel I really like your video, this is cool.
Glad you liked it!
at 1min, what a comfortable commute route.
at 4 mins, what a long distance😂😢
Merci bcp!
keep it up respect from lahore pakistan
man the sport part suprised me! I want to live in Europe (I'm from South America) and I play table tennis. My dream is work as a programmer and do the sport that I love in Europe
Thanks for your comment and I hope your dream become real!
so good
Hi Daniel, great videos!
Im new to ur channel, so may I ask what's your main role as a SE (fullstack, devops, network,...) and what language do you use day to day and for your personal projects!
full-stack engineer, front, backend, Java/Angular :)
As a Turk, I was happy to see you eating wraps. :)
I love turkish food, love baklava too 😋
Bon appetit, your office is great, wish you all the best@@daniellaerachannel
mac + jetbrain love it
Merci !☺️
I love this video
Thanks!
How do you use a mehcanical keyboard without a wrist rest?
vro chilling with a small bike
Cool!
😊
I'm So interested to your Vlog
Dear Daniel would you please give us info about coast of living in Switzerland (include tax) and how much is software engineer salary based on experience and if it's ok, talk about your personal experience like your stack, study …
Important updates infos will come in next videos don’t worry 😉
I like this video topic
Amazing video, I would like to know what keyboard is that? Greetings from Mexico
It’s a Keychron Mechanical Gateron Red linear Swiss layout. Cheers 🍻 buddy
So far to office 😮
new viewer here. What a fun working place.
..
btw. Swiss is still using plastics for take-outs?
Unfortunately in some places still using plastic
do you coding with java?
Howdy 🤠 What keyboard do you use at work? It sounds so good 😊
Keychron series Q but in the latest video I'll get a low profile K3 brown
which is better for coding. macbook or windows laptop???????
Damm!!! we are playing same sport ping-pong😂
The video makes it look as though you arrive at the office 'round 8:15/8:30, work for half an hour, take a break, work for another 2,5 hours, take a long ass break (at least an hour) and then still leave the office at 5pm. That is crazy imo.
This working style is my dream but ıts so hard to achieve it even if you are in another sector:D
Smartwatch have a lot of bugs they always freeze and take several minutes or hours to response
gotta ask, how do you keeep your laptop screen so clean haha. genuinely curious. do you clean it regularly?
Exactly! 🤓
more more vlogs))
You should add the timeline of a your day on this video, i think that make it's effectively
there's a timeline :)
Les suisses, les meilleurs 🇨🇭
5:17, the MacBook, being an ARM-based laptop, why are you shutting down? My laptop has been shut down for almost a year now, yet I haven't shut down my MacBook.
Hey im looking to work in software engineering soon but i was told that it soon gonna end as a career because of ai what would u recommend i should pursue that is something closely related to software engineering. I would appreatiate the help.
I don’t think software engineers will soon be replaced by AI. A lot of fake stories these days are made up by people. The only thing that’s important is to be updated about latest software technologies and tools and that’s what it’ll make you a great developer. Cheers
What keyboard were you using?
How do spend your leisure? Like getting to the bars and have some beaches.
I’ll do a video on life’s cost
which switches do you use ? they sound really cooll.
Gateron red 😉
what is this in your glass water, in the lunch part?? just curious 😅

@@daniellaerachannel Thanks a lot

Loved the video! What was the song in the beginning?
Don’t remember exactly the title. It’s a licensed service on Epidemic Sound. Cheers 🍻
Hey brother make a vdo on how we will find a IT job in switz... Thank you for your beautiful video ❤
Will cover in next one
A country where you go at night and return home at night. Nightmare
Indeed working in a cool climate is best!. Compare this to Asia and Middle East where the temperature plummets above 30 degree Celsius for whole year🥵
@@suryaravichandran8585 but we works in the airco room dude, 9AM-6PM
Dude, ist common thing during winter
@@got_sinyeah most places are like this during winter

I am learning germany, I know React and JS do you think I need degree to get a job and relocate in Switzerland?
I don’t think you really need a CS degree. The experience is the most valuable thing you can own for landing a job in IT
