When princess Anne was almost kidnapped and fended for herself. Shes already many people's favorite character in the series, that plot point would have really embedded the humor and the horror of being who she is.

    • @pamgriffin9588

Yes, the attempt to kidnap Princess Anne was foiled only because she fought her assailant off. She kicked, bashed and swore at him.
Michael Parkinson asked her about it and she spoke to him with humour, downplaying her role in escaping.

I would’ve not minded it at all if they included more on Diana’s philanthropy and works on the weeks before she passed, but dedicating a whole episode on Saint Tropez felt too wasteful of the episode slots, especially with the episode of literally just about the paparazzi shot of Diana and Dodi kissing. They could’ve definitely squashed it into Season 5 Episode 10, then featured her death on the first 2 episodes.

well the “crown” can do any prequel series just like the “Downtown Abbey” where after finishing series’s , they’ve made 2 movies to continue the stories where we’ve seen the passing away of the dowager countess of Grantham in the modern era. If Peter Morgan wants to reflect the “Queen’s Death” in the modern era by accession of King Charles with Harry-Meghan-Andrew scandals they can simply start to filming a movie instead with prequel

Here’s my personal issues with S5-S6
At the end of S4 they really teased this idea of Diana as the new ‘Queen’ of the show. But S5 imo fell flat on its face. They could’ve done so much more, especially because the 90s were CRAZY for the royal family. 1992, Diana’s charity works, Charles and Camilla’s drama, all the stuff going on in England and the Queen not to mention Tony Blair. I feel that getting close to the real time period and with the heat from certain individuals and the royals themselves they decided to water down the show so that it wouldn’t cause a divot. But it lost me honestly. They didn’t have to focus on just Diana and Charles, they could’ve done other things to avoid that drama. But oh well, it’s over and done with. But they missed some great stuff. But that’s just how I feel.

I was under the impression that The Crown was a series predominantly about The Queen and events that made her into the phenomenal woman she was. Everyone else featured in the series (her origins, parents, sister, Prime Ministers, her children, grand children and their spouses) were an extension of that story? Metaphorically, she was the sun and everything and everyone else in the story orbited around her. To be honest, I felt more time should have been spent on activities she was involved in and what she meant to the world as 'The Queen'.

Prince John was not lost. In 1909, it was discovered that John had epilepsy. In 1916, as his condition deteriorated, he was sent to live at Sandringham House and kept away from the public eye. There, he was cared for by his governess, "Lala" Bill, and befriended local children whom his mother had gathered to be his playmates .
The family loved him their diary entries give details to their visits to him. he was sent to be raised in a calm sweet and stress-free environment for his health. he was allowed to do whatever he wanted and was quite cheeky King George V and Queen Mary found him brave and funny in their diary entries he even used to regularly prank his parents.
he had a loving nanny and played with local children and his grandmother spoilt him so much. his siblings loved him all except Edward VIII former King and later Duke of Windsor the weriod. They were devastated when he died especially his parents in private they grieved deeply the staff noted it was the first time they saw and heard the Queen and King cry but in public, they put on a brave face for their people who were still at war and needed strength and service so people misunderstood them as cold.
They sent Prince John away due to doctors' recommendation to reduce his riggers. high stress and public crowds triggered his seizures so Mary and George did the best they could in the most loving way for him to live a happy life unfortunately it was a short one. they visited him regularly even though their schedules during the war were hectic they loved their son very much and don't deserve the slander they get today.

Prince Harry's description of his first meeting with Camilla was in step with the theme of the rest of the book, the fact that he was the Spare. He said that Camilla was respectful, but it was obvious she didn't place much significance on the meeting because she had already met William, and the Heir was the one she really had to get approval from.
Honestly, I think it's sad that so many people just assume that Harry spent the whole book trashing his family, and he really didn't. He was surprisingly self-deprecating, like when he admitted that there were times that William wanted to talk about Diana and he shot him down because he was still in his denial phase of grief. And his criticisms of Camilla were left largely unsaid. I mean, the tone certainly was that he never much liked her, but he really didn't spend any time trashing her, either. The only time I can think that merely IMPLIED her duplicitous nature was when the two couples, the Sussexes and the Cambridges, were discussing how sorry they were that the press got a hold of the story about the two wives fighting because of Meghan's bridesmaid dresses not fitting the girls. It had been twisted and blown out of proportion in the media, and the two couples were trying to bury the hatchet when they realized that it wasn't any of them who went to the press, but Kate had mentioned it when she and William had dinner with Charles and Camilla a few weeks earlier, and they didn't say it out loud, but everyone knew that meant that Camilla was the one who leaked it.

They weren't ever criticized for eating an avocado or other ridiculousness right and left. Sophie wasn't stalked and judged about everything she did with lies fed to the press about her. But Harry and Meghan got slandered by tabloids with lies and hatred and biases even though he is of the same relation to his aunts and uncles (the sibling of the heir). It all comes down to British xenophobia (I know no one wants to admit that, but its really true).
