Nintendo has been making consoles since 1983. They have firmly established themselves as a force in the gaming community. Though people (haters) may dislike them for one reason or another. They are still the ones who saved the home console business when it was losing to arcades. Today, we need to celebrate the fact that we are getting an intense amount of reveals. I cherish the years that I have spent with Nintendo products since my childhood. With other companies, specifically, console makers, they seem to always disappoint their fans, be it because of high expectations or low-quality products. However, though Nintendo may be flawed and we as fans may expect the wrong things at times, Nintendo has always given me the games that I want with the quality that I want and I know many people can say the same. Today is a day of gathering for those who cherish Nintendo and are with them today. Today is e3, and we get to have reveals such as Pokemon on Switch, Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga, Metroid Prime 4, Kirby on Switch, Yoshi on Switch, Rainway and 2D Metroid. We are also getting hyped up about titles coming out soon such as Mario Odyssey, Fire Emblem Warriors and Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Rejoice fellow Nintendo gamers, because today is a day of conquest, of happiness and of hype!
I love how this game is set up to collect the moons. You still have missions like Mario 64, but you can do as many as you like uninterrupted. The new mechanics with the hat, enemies, 2D? Brilliant. The visuals are great and the sound is awesome. This looks to be the best 3D Mario game yet.
Looks like it has the best environments and world-building, for sure. But in terms of gameplay, it looks almost insultingly easy and casual-oriented. Platforming is almost entirely absent, replaced by open-world "discovery" (throwing your hat at a tree and moving it). I don't even think you can turn in mid-air. It's too bad that the franchise and gaming community in general has gotten this bad, but at least I have a ton of classic platforming titles to go back to, including 3D World, from the older days.
RockstarBoi I'm afraid that when I save enough money for the Switch and some games, I'll find games but not the system itself by the time Super Maro Oddessy is released. Maybe it'll be different by late October-early November but the Wal mart I go to didn't have any last I checked.

I love how when you collect a Moon, it shows the date you collected it. It's a nice little detail that helps you see your progress over time. Also, I really like the HUD. The minimalist look suits the more modern style Odyssey seems to be taking.

Ya know... I hadn't really saw it like that. This game definitely takes inspiration from previous Mario games but the way the hat can possess enemies, is new and refreshing. It's kinda like evens the score.
