Just a couple of thoughts. If you're a 11.x UTR tennis player, the transition to PB will be extremely easy. My son was an 11.5 UTR tennis player and it took him two weeks to get to 5.x level in singles PB. It took him four months to get to 5.x in doubles PB. The way the serve in PB works is almost identical to the forehand in tennis. Watch Roger Federer forehand and the PB serve should look exactly like that. The take back should be like "tap the dog".

Any guidelines for how many sets and reps for each drill?

Really it’s up to you. I would say 3 sets of 10-12 reps is a good place to start but more practice isn’t going to hurt you!

Here's my tip for both of you: DON'T CHOKE UP ON YOUR PADDLE! You're violating the basic laws of physics: The LONGER the lever - the BETTER the lever.

A lot of top pros like Gabe Tardio choke up on the paddle… one creates leverage but the other creates stability. We must be careful when teaching things that are absolutes.

Exactly. I recently began chocking up AND using 2 hands...for some forehands, including serves. Why? I generate too much power and can easily put the ball out. These additional tools give me extra control when I want it. I still generate enough power to ace serves against 4.0 players.
I even violate the wrist snap rule on some of my serves, causing a wild change in ball speed that at times causes my opponent to hit it out. There are very few absolutes. Variations done well lead to confusion and points.
Some are conformity. Some create new ways.
