Actually Sponge on the Run's plot was Hillenburg idea. He pitched the Gary story but the Nick and writers wanted to do a sci-fi adventure with alien cats

There’s something wrong inside Squidward’s and Squillam’s mouths, but the rest of the animation looks perfect

The animation for Sponge On The Run is pretty high quality, it's just that the story and Camp Coral scenes are why it's bad.

It’s pretty good, the only criticism I have is with squidward’s mouth, it seems to be structured in a weird way that he doesn’t have an inside to the mouth, making look a little strange at times
