Still think you should get into a group with an AuF1 or 3 and guide an artillery squadron with the drone. Imagine being in cover and suddenly having a barrage of 155mmHE shells land ontop of you.
Until we get bigger maps, long range SPH like the paladins, AUF1s, etc will never be viable due to how small and cramped the current maps are. Slow velocity HE found on russian IFVs are more ideal because you are able to arc them high enough to cosplay artillery.
i was under the impression the BMP2M's grenade launcher didn't actually kill armor and was more of a gag weapon like the flame throwers but here i stand corrected. and not only do they surpass their intended ranges but they're actually capable of killing things. no way dood no way
if this thing is used irl like what is happening here (and am sure they do use it) you could imagine the terror a bunch of soldiers feel when a barrage of them comes down let's ignore that tho, i think this think could be a viable way to help destroy optics on mbts from long ranges from behind cover

Wouldn't be possible based on the distance of the target from the drone, the altitude of the drone and the distance of the drone from the player tank to determine from how far the player tank is from the target ?
You could, you'd have to know the azimuth, range, and elevation of the vehicles relative to the drone for accurate fire but a fixed wing drone on the move would require automatic calculations. Gaijin could do this but we already have markers. And you can gauge distance on the map from your vehicle to the marker. Could be done and it would be clever if pulled off right
I think it's just guess work and providing a bit of vertical spread. Use your squad marker carefully, note how the player aims for the top and the bottom of the squad mark, that's to provide the vertical spread.
Math! You can determine range roughly using trigonometry and the grid map as the map indicates the width of a grid square. This can even be used in air matches to determine the height of a plane, distance to target from radar lock, your own altitude, and roughly what the angle difference is gets the hypotenuse, then repeat for the targets altitude.
@@Nythron_IV overpressure still needs successful penetration. i know the overpressure somehow accumulate with certain rockets, but come on 40mm should not do that.

AuF1 not the ideal, like on this map is very hard to work. Better is Centurion AVRE and/or Sturmoser Tiger

you have to choose the grenade launcher (secondary weapon) and then use laser range finder

You have to either set a keybind or use the quick action menu to select the GL, I believe it counts as a machine gun in the selector.
